Chapter 46: Josiah
“Hmmm…” I chuckled weakly as Eunice murmured on my chest.
We’re in our room, lying on our bed, cuddling. And I couldn’t even think of anything better than this.
Her arms are wrapped around my waist while her face rested on my bare chest. I hugged her tighter and kissed the top of her head.
“Baby, we didn’t use protection again,” I whispered.
She slowly looked at me, slightly blushing. “I know,” she replied.
I pursed my lips in a thin line. I know that she isn’t ready to have a baby yet and I respect that. I can wait until she’s ready but we’ve just had multiple sexual intimacies without protection.
I don’t want her to think that I am trying to get her pregnant. Heck, the last thing that I want her to think is that I am trying to start a family with her even though she’s not yet ready.
I sighed and kissed her forehead. “I’m sorry. I couldn’t stop myself.” And it’s true. When it comes to Eunice, I feel like I am losing all of my self-control.
She just makes me forget all things about control. And I couldn’t help but be insatiable.
“Hmm…why do I feel like you’re slightly blaming me for it?” she said in a raised brow.
I laughed. “You think?”
“Yes.”
I bit my lip. “Well, you’re right. You’re too hard to resist.”
She raised her brow at me. “Then that’s not my problem anymore.”
I laughed at kissed the top of her head. “I know, baby. That’s why it’s a damn struggle for me to control myself when you’re lying next to me.”
She bit her lower lip and blushed. “So, you think we should ask our parents to unlock one of the guest rooms, then?”
I narrowed my eyes at her. “No way!”
She laughed and shook her head before resting it on my bare chest once more. “Should I use contraception?”
“Hmmm…”
She looked at me, confused. “I think that’s better because you always forget to put on your condom,” she narrowed her eyes at me.
I laughed. I’m guilty. But it’s because I’m always so damn excited to be inside her. Condom’s the last thing that’s on my mind when she’s already in front of me, naked and so beautiful.
She rolled her eyes.
I chuckled and kissed her cheek. “Well, can you blame me? You’re so ready for me, I don’t want to keep you waiting,” I said in a teasing tone.
She inhaled a sharp breath. “Josiah!” she scolded me.
I laughed and shrugged. “Baby, you can’t blame me when you’re such a tease yourself.”
She scoffed at me and hit my chest.
I groaned but laughed after. I hugged her tightly.
“But I agree that we should have a good family planning,” I said. She looked at me. “I don’t want you pregnant when you’re not yet ready. You’re the master of this, baby. We’ll have kids when you’re ready…”
Eunice stared at me. “Thank you,” she smiled.
I smirked and crouched down to give her a kiss on the lips. Damn it. Her lips would always put my head in haywire—like I can’t think straight every time she responds to me.
“Hmmm…” she moaned as I bit her lower lip.
I caressed her cheek. “I would probably never get enough of your kisses, Eunice. Pure heaven…”
She chuckled before pulling my face closer once more.

“You’re grinning,” Sage pointed out when we met inside the hideout.
I rolled my eyes and just sat on the couch. He sat beside me and bumped his shoulder with mine.
“Did you get laid?” he asked and I looked at him angrily.
He blinked at me innocently. “What?” he asked. “I always see men look like you do after getting the best lay of their lives…”
I scoffed at him and shove the pillow into his face. He’s got guts to ask me that question, huh? What a douchebag!
Sage let out a thunderous laugh. “So, you’re really into Eunice, huh?” he asked. “You’re intimate with her…”
I narrowed my eyes at him. Honestly, he doesn’t have the right to care about my sex life with my wife. And besides, Eunice and I are married! It’s legal in the eyes of the law and of God!
Sage just laughed. He’s really not afraid of me. Well, I hated that fact. But in the end, why would he be afraid of me?
Dorian came and sat on the couch across me. He nodded at me. “Seems like you’re happy these past few weeks…”
I raised my brow. Sage laughed.
“Dorian, of course, he would be happy. In the first place, he has a happy marriage with his wife…”
I hate that Sage is telling Dorian about me and my wife. I still can’t forget that Dorian used to like my wife. Hell, maybe he still likes her right now…
But that doesn’t matter anymore because Eunice and I are official right now.
Dorian gave me a look. “It’s good to know, Josiah,” he said.
I narrowed my eyes at me. “You don’t have to worry. I’ll take care of her, Dorian.”
He nodded. “Right, you should…”
I pursed my lips in a thin line. I feel like there’s something I had to say but I don’t know what it is.
“Don’t worry. I won’t like your wife from now on,” Dorian said.
Sage narrowed his eyes at him. “Dude…” he said, as if warning Dorian to stop it or I’ll crack.
Dorian laughed. “Chill, Sage. I’m saying that I’m giving Josiah my blessings. I believe that he will treat Eunice well…”
Sage sighed.
I stared at Dorian and was about to say something but Stan suddenly came and told us that we have to leave now.
The three of us stood up. Dorian nodded at me. “I’m genuinely happy for you, dude…”
I smiled. “Thanks.”

We’re meeting SeQret in an abandoned building. We’re already in our suits and masks.
“Ready?” Stan asked.
We all nodded before stepping inside the building.
We were welcomed by Zinger, one of the members of the gang.
“We’re waiting for you,” she said before leading us towards her members.
Three of the girls are sitting in front of the table with a vintage lamp. It’s understandable. The building is abandoned so the electricity supply is cut here.
“They’re here,” Zinger said making the three girls look our way.
They all stood up and walked towards me.
Hannah, aka Ice, walked to us with a huge grin. She looked at me. “Didn’t know you’d agree to this,” she said.
I gulped. “Majority wins, Hannah,” I told her.
She smirked and walked closer to Stan. “We heard Astra joined forces with Glyph,” she started.
Stan nodded. “We heard that too. And that’s the only reason why we’re agreeing to this.”
The two other girls are staring at us. The four of them are all wearing masks and their fighting gears as well.
“Shall we start?” Stan asked and we all agreed to get this over and done with.
