Chapter 45: Eunice
“Hey, Eunice. Are you and Josiah together?” one of my classmates from Philosophy asked me.
Actually, I was taken aback at her question. This classmate of mine—none of them, as a matter of fact—has never spoken to me ever since the beginning of the semester. But now that a lot of rumors are circulating about me and Josiah, she somehow felt comfortable to ask me. I hate these kinds of people.
I gave her a blank stare. “Why do you need to know?” I asked.
She bit her lip and tucked a loose strand of her perfectly curled long hair behind her ear. “Everyone is talking about you and Josiah being so close together,” she replied.
I raised my brow. “What is it to you, then?”
I know when girls ask this. She’s probably one of the hoard girls wanting to be Josiah’s girlfriend. Josiah may not tell me about it but I know that he has tons of girls craving for his attention.
The girl looked at me and smiled shyly as she flipped her hair dramatically. I could roll my eyes and ignore her but there’s this feeling inside me that makes me want to know the reason why she’s asking for my husband.
“Well, nobody thought you’d be his type.”
I narrowed my eyes at her as a feeling of anger started to fire up deep inside me. What did she mean by that anyway? Did she mean no one ever thought Josiah would like a woman like me?
Well, that might be true because I somehow agree with it having seen his ex, Hannah who looked like a goddess from Olympus. But to hear it from other people is making my blood boil.
“What do you think is Josiah’s type anyway?” I asked, triggered.
She smiled. “Someone more…warm,” she shamelessly replied.
I creased my brows at her. “You know what? For a by-stander and a stranger, you’re annoyingly too attached to Josiah.”
Her jaw dropped when she saw me snap right in front of her. It’s true though. She cares too much for a by-stander. She’s not even Josiah’s friend or even a classmate at that but she somehow managed to insert herself in the life of someone who doesn’t even care about her. Annoying!
I stood up and towered over her. “To be honest, between the two of us, you are more likely to be the woman Josiah wouldn’t even look at…” I trailed as I gawked at her from head to foot.
Her stare at me hardened but I didn’t even give a damn.
I smiled creepily sweet. “You’re not his type,” I spat before leaving the room and walking towards the parking lot where Josiah is already waiting for me.
I kept on sighing hard and rolling me eyes at nothing as I walked towards the parking lot. I already saw Josiah’s BMW and immediately opened the passenger door to hop in.
Josiah looked at me with narrowed eyes. “What’s wrong?” he asked as he held my hand.
I shook my head. I don’t want him to know that I am annoyed that someone confronted me and told me I am not his type.
Damn. I hate being belittled.
“Are you sure?” he asked in a concerned tone.
I sighed and looked at him, finally giving it up. If I don’t ask him now, I am going to be bothered by it even harder.
Josiah stared at me with attentive eyes.
I gulped and took a deep breath as I felt his fingers playing with mine. He’s looking at me, patiently waiting for what I am about to say.
I shut my eyes and gathered all the courage I could have. “What’s your ideal type?”
He stared at me for a moment after hearing my stupid question. Yes, I feel stupid for asking him that. He shouldn’t deal with questions like this anymore because we’re already married. He already chose me.
But then, that girl’s words are probably getting to me. And then I realized that I don’t even really know what Josiah’s ideal woman is.
“Baby…” his soft voice soothed me but I am still bothered by that stupid girl’s words.
I sighed. “Everyone seems to think that you’re better off with someone else.”
He stared at me and didn’t speak. He’s probably thinking about how stupid I am being right now.
I frowned. “One of my classmates asked me if we’re officially dating. She said I don’t seem like your type.”
He pursed his lips.
“So, what’s your type?”
He licked his lower lip as a small smile was about to form from the side of his lips. “Oh, baby…” he breathed as he pulled me close to him.
He buried my face into his chest as he hugged me tight. I can feel his chest vibrating because of his chuckles.
Does he still find this amusing? I don’t. I don’t…at all.
I hate this painful and uncomfortable feeling in my chest as I think of how he is into beautiful and demure type of women. I am pretty beautiful but I’m sure as hell that I am not demure.
“Baby, why are you even asking me that?” he asked as he cupped my cheek. His eyes are smiling. “There’s no such thing as ideal type when in love.”
I pouted. What kind of answer is that?
He planted a kiss on my nose bridge. “Don’t you know when one is in love, all those standards don’t matter? Because only one thing matters…” he trailed as he brushed my lips with his thumb. “…and that’s love.”
I bit my lip as I felt my whole face flushing. Butterflies seemed to have attacked my stomach because of the uncomfortable feeling.
“I love you, Eunice. And you’re already my wife. All those girls won’t matter to me.”
I rolled my eyes but he just laughed.
“Don’t roll your eyes at me like that, baby. It makes me want to kiss you hard and make you forget about all the things your classmate asked you,” he warned.
I narrowed my eyes at him. “Why don’t you try, then?” I don’t even know why I was trying to challenge him.
He raised his brow and did not waste any chance. He leaned closer and gave me a hungry and passionate kiss. He brushed his lips against mine so slowly like he’s taking all the time in the world.
I closed my eyes and tried to respond to him with the same intensity. My hands gripped on his shirt as his hand travelled to my nape, pulling me closer to him.
His other hand travelled through my jaw down to my clothed chest. He cupped my breast earning a moan from me.
Our clothes are too offending but I know that this is not the time for us to have sex. We’re inside his car and inside the campus. We definitely shouldn’t be doing that here.
It’s been two weeks since we last did it. But that didn’t mean that we didn’t have hot make-out sessions inside his car and in our room. We did.
His expert hand found my nipple and squeezed it.
“Shit…” I moaned as his kiss went to my jaw, down to my neck.
He hummed before sucking a sensitive spot on my neck. I moaned out loud as he inserted his hand inside my shirt. He brushed my underboob before inserting his hand inside my brassiere too.
“Baby…” he hissed as he kneaded my mound.
He kissed me on the lips once more as his hand masterfully did wonders to my breast.
“We shouldn’t be doing this here…” I breathed.
He looked at me with a smirk on his lips. “Hmmm? So, where are we going to do this, baby?” he asked in a addictive tone.
I bit my lip as watched his determined and lustful eyes looking at me. “We’re inside the uni, Josiah…” I said but my voice was already trembling.
He smirked and pinched my nipple. “I won’t be able to drive sanely if we don’t do this now, baby.” He said before kissing me hungrily.
God! He could be so determined sometimes and I let him do it.
