Chapter – 13

Trisha’s POV

Ahhh…my head…it is paining as if I banged it on some hard surface. With so much pain I opened my eyes. I am now in my room…my room? Can I call this my room? Yeah, who cares…contract or real marriage is marriage. I have full rights in this room. But why is my head paining like hell?

I try to recall everything that happened to me. Yesterday I went out with Mohit. After our lunch, he left due to some important meetings. God knows what important meeting he had. He promised to accompany me to my friend Archi’s bachelor's party but he didn’t keep his. He always does that. Sometimes I feel like he doesn’t love me. Hmm…maybe I am asking for too much. Everyone is not as privileged as me. I hold the position of CEO of our company but I didn't have to do much. Because my uncle and brother (cousin) always do all the hard work for me. They said I am still young and I should enjoy my time more. It is not like I don’t do any work for the company; I do but not as much as a CEO needs to do. Because I have two helping hands, my uncle and my brother. I had told them to make my brother the CEO of the company. He deserves it, but my uncle told me it was my father’s wish to see me as the CEO of the company and it was also my wish when I was a teenager. Though I don’t remember anything about my teenage time, I am doing it, in any way as it was my father’s wish.

But why is my head paining like this? I need some medicine. I cannot take this anymore.

Third Person’s POV

Trisha climbed down from her bed holding her head which was paining like hell and walked near a cabinet in search of medicine for her headache. She was searching for some time but she didn’t find any medicine. She had no idea where Vihaan put the medicine box in his room. She was searching for the medicine in every cabinet when Vihaan entered the room.

“Do you have a headache? Do you need medicine?”

Seeing Trisha searching for something in the cabinets while holding her head, Vihaan guessed what she could be searching for.

Trisha got startled by the sudden voice. She looked back and saw Vihaan forward his hand with medicine in his palm.

Seeing a medicine for headaches, Trisha smiled and was about to take it, but her hand paused, recalling something.

“Wait a minute…you…o my god! Yes…yes, I remember I have seen you. You can walk!” - Trisha gasped.

“Here the drama begins” - Vihaan murmured under his breath.

“What did you say?” Trisha asked with raised eyebrows as she didn’t hear clearly. But before Vihaan could say anything Trisha started speaking with a smirk on her face while narrowing her eyes “So, Mr Vihaan Kapoor, now what do you have to say? I was right from the beginning. You can walk.”

“But I don’t understand how you bear the pain of that night. And besides, why are you pretending this? Ohh yeah! Now I suddenly remember that we didn’t complete our conversation yesterday morning. What is the mystery about your grandfather? First, answer me, why pretend that you cannot walk when you are completely fine.”

Trisha bombarded Vihaan with her curious questions. All headaches faded away due to her curiosity about Vihaan's life. She sat on the edge of the bed in a full kneeling position with a nosy look.

Seeing Trisha’s curious look, Vihaan almost let out a chuckle but very tactfully hid it with a cough. In his mind, Vihaan thought “Oh my dear Trisha…you will not get any information today but a shock”

“Now spill it out. I cannot wait to hear everything. This must be very interesting like all those novels I have read. I am missing some snacks. Now start…” Trisha said with interest.

Vihaan looked at Trisha with pain-filled eyes, of course, it was an act “You find it funny, Trisha? Do you think life is a novel?”

Trisha frowned, making a pout. She didn’t understand why Vihaan suddenly looked at her with a hurt expression. She thought maybe there is a painful reason behind Vihaan’s acting like a disabled person. “Is it a very painful reason?”

“Why? Trisha? What do I have to do to make you believe that I cannot walk? Will you believe it after completely cutting off my legs?” - Vihaan said with the same fake hurt expression.

“Oh, come on! Vihaan, I have already seen you. Now, what is the need for this hiding? Yesterday at the bar I clearly saw you. You were standing on your feet in front of me. You can trust me, Vihaan. I will not tell anyone. Promise.” - Trisha said with sincerity.

Vihaan would have told her everything if he had not been aware of Trisha’s habit. To tell Trisha something or to live telecast something on the news channels is the same thing. She cannot keep any secrets.

“You are hallucinating, Trisha.” - Vihaan was convincing with a serious expression. No one could say by looking at his expression that he was lying.

“Oh really!” Trisha mocked “Then how did I end up here from the bar.”

“Oh! That! Thanks to your grandfather’s men who helped…”

Trisha did not even let Vihaan finish his sentence and asked with a pale face while stuttering “my…my grandfather! his…his men brought me here…from … the bar?”

Vihaan nodded in response with a serious face.

“Oh no!” Trisha cried out.

“Oh yes!” Vihan replied with a sly smile on his face.
