Chapter – 11

Third Person’s POV

On the way back from meeting his grandfather, Vihaan was sitting in the passenger seat with a stoic expression while Rajiv was driving the car. Every minute Rajiv was giving Vihaan a side glance with pursed lips. Seeing Rajiv’s look, even a child could easily say about Rajiv’s dilemma of saying something.

“Say it; for how long will you give me that look?” Vihaan stated without looking towards Rajiv. He could understand Rajiv's confusion.

“I am curious about the reason for your not telling Mr Kapoor about your marriage being a contract marriage. why?” Rajiv asked somewhat confused.

“Hmm…I assume this curiosity is a contagious disease. I have to stay away from you and Trisha, otherwise, you both will also affect me.” - Vihaan joked. But there was no smile on his face. His face was as serious as before.

Maybe someone else could have misjudged it thinking Vihaan never smiles, but in Rajiv's case, there was no confusion. Rajiv clearly understood Vihaan was avoiding his question. Rajiv felt a little hurt. He understood there was something which was disturbing Vihaan, but he was not telling him.

“Sir, don’t you trust me anymore?” - Rajiv asked with a dejected expression.

“Rajiv, you know very well how much I trust you. I trust you more than my own shadow. How could you think like that?” - Vihaan asked with a dissatisfied expression. To Vihaan, Rajiv was not just an attendant; he was his friend, brother, and family.

“Then why are you not telling me what thought is disturbing you?” - Rajiv asked in a complaining tone.

“You have become like Trisha. I didn’t tell you because I am not hundred per cent sure about it.” - Vihaan replied honestly.

“Sure? about what?” Vihaan frowned.

Exhaling a sigh, Vihaan explained his doubt to Rajiv “I doubt him being my grandfather. I believe he is not my grandpa (maternal). He is his twin Mr Sharma, my paternal grandpa.”

Upon hearing this, Rajiv abruptly stopped the car in the middle of the road. Vihaan shouted at Rajiv for doing that. Thankfully there was no car behind them, otherwise, a big accident could have happened.

“Sorry…sorry, I just got shocked hearing this.” Rajiv again started the car. “But sir, Mr Sharma died so many years ago. And your grandpa, I mean Mr Kapoor was with you during the time of the accident. So…I am confused. I…don’t understand.”

“Rajiv, you are right. On the day of the accident, my grandpa was with me. It was not just an act; he really died that day. If my assumption is correct, then Mr Sharma’s death was just an act. He has been alive all these years. And after my grandpa’s death, he contacted me pretending to be my grandpa.” Vihaan told Rajiv about his doubt, looking at the distance with a complicated expression.

“But if he is Mr Sharma, why is he hiding from his family? Why is he pretending to be a dead person for the world? Why is he not coming to his family? And why do you suddenly doubt him?” - Rajiv asked all his doubts.

“It is not sudden. I had some suspicion, but after Nakul (stepbrother) told Trisha about the relationship between my two grandfathers, my suspicion was confirmed a little bit. I guess he knows about Palash grandpa (Mr Sharma) being alive.” - Vihan explained to Rajiv.

“So, it is possible that Mr Sharma is also behind every conspiracy and he is playing a double game with us?” - Rajiv was shocked thinking about it.

“Yes, it could be possible. Or maybe he is really innocent and helping me. I am not sure. Sometimes I feel like Nakul is also helping me. His way of talking becomes very weird sometimes. I don’t know who is helping us, and who is playing with us. I cannot trust anyone. We have to be cautious. We cannot trust them,” - Vihaan stated very seriously.

Rajiv also believed the same. He nodded affirmatively in response.

“Now, take me to the club. I need alcohol to be calm. My mind is now full of speculation. I need to calm down.” - Vihaan ordered Rajiv to take him to his club. Without another question, Rajiv changed his way to the club. He understood his master’s situation very well. Very soon, they reached the nightclub Vihaan owned.

At the Club, in the private area…

Here in the private area of the nightclub, Vihaan can walk freely. He was the owner of this place, and no one knew about that.

Very casually, with a free mind, Vihaan was standing on the balcony, enjoying the music playing in the background. At the place he was standing, no one could see him, but he could see everyone.

He was walking in the private corridor when he heard the sound of the opening door from the private room opposite him. He frowned because without his permission no one could enter there. He stood frozen seeing the person who came out of the room and the person who came out of the room looked at Vihaan with a disbelieving expression with her big doe eyes.
