Chapter 117 THE END OF SAMARA

Chapter 117 THE END OF SAMARA

LUNA LEENA POV

The rogues moved forward, their numbers overwhelming. There were so many of them, swords raised and eyes full of violence. I knew we were going to fight again. My body was already tired, but I gripped my sword tighter. My children were somewhere inside that cottage. I would not stop until I reached them.

Damian shifted into his wolf form beside me again, his black fur shining under the forest light. His growl shook the air. The guards around us raised their weapons, ready to die if they had to. We charged together.

The fight was brutal. Swords clashed loudly. The rogues came at us from every direction. I swung my blade hard, cutting into the arm of the first one who reached me. He screamed and fell back. Another attacked from the side. I dodged and stabbed him in the stomach. Blood sprayed across my clothes. My arms burned, but I kept moving. I could not stop.

Damian was a storm beside me. His wolf tore through the enemies, claws ripping flesh and teeth sinking deep. He moved so fast, protecting my back while I fought in front.
The guards fought bravely. Though they were few, they stood strong.

Kael watched from the side at first. When he saw we were gaining the upper hand, his face changed. He turned and ran away into the trees without looking back. He was a coward. He had led us into this trap, but he would not stay to fight.

Kieran fought longer. He shouted orders to his men, his one good eye full of hatred. But when he saw most of his rogues were dead or running, he turned to escape too. I quickly aimed my bow at him. I released the arrow. It flew true and hit him in the back. He stumbled but kept running, disappearing into the forest without looking back.

The last rogues fell. The clearing became quiet except for the sound of our heavy breathing. We had won. Blood covered the ground. My body was exhausted, but relief washed over me. We had cleared the way.

We rushed to the cottage. The door was open. We entered quickly, searching every room. My heart was pounding. But there was no sign of Samara or the kids. The rooms were empty. The cage was open and broken. They had run away.

“No,” I whispered. Tears filled my eyes again. “They are gone. They took them somewhere else.”

Damian’s face was dark with anger. He turned to the remaining guards. “We enter another race. Search every path. We must find them before it is too late.”

I nodded, wiping my tears. We would not stop. We would keep going until my children were safe in my arms again.

We ran out of the cottage and back into the forest. The chase continued. Samara thought she could hide them from us. She was wrong.

We would find them. No matter how long it took.

…….

LADY SAMARA POV

I ran through the forest as fast as my legs could carry me. My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it would burst. A few loyal guards followed closely behind me, dragging the three children with them. The kids were fighting and struggling the whole way. They kept shouting that they wanted to go back to their parents. They bit the guards’ arms and kicked their legs, trying everything to break free. But the guards were stronger. They dragged the children along roughly, refusing to let them go.

“ Let us go!” Ryker shouted, biting one guard’s hand hard. “We want our mummy and daddy!”

Thorne and Elara cried loudly, their small voices echoing through the trees. “Mummy! Daddy! Help us!”

I was losing my mind. All I wanted was to disappear deep into the forest with the children. If I could just get far enough, Leena and Damian would never find us. I would finally have what I deserved. I would finally have power over them.

“Move faster!” I yelled at the guards. “We have to get away from here!”

The children kept fighting. Elara cried the loudest, calling for her mother again and again. The sound was annoying, but it also made me smile a little. Leena would be suffering right now. She would be breaking apart knowing I had her precious babies.

Suddenly, the guards behind me started falling. One by one, arrows flew out of nowhere and hit them. They dropped to the ground with loud thuds, dead before they could even scream. I turned around in panic. Only a few guards were left, and they fell too. Soon it was just me and the three children standing in the middle of the forest.

Then I saw them.

Leena and Damian were approaching through the trees. Their faces were full of determination. Leena had her bow in her hand. My heart raced with fear and hatred. How did they find us so fast?

I quickly grabbed Elara and pulled her close. I pressed a sharp knife against her small neck. The girl cried loudly, tears streaming down her face.

“Stay back!” I shouted. “If you move closer, I will kill her! I swear I will!”

Elara sobbed, reaching out her small hands. “Mummy! Daddy! Help me!”

Ryker and Thorne ran toward their parents immediately. They shouted and cried as they reached Leena and Damian. The boys hugged their parents tightly, their small bodies shaking with relief.

I held the knife closer to Elara’s neck. My hand was shaking, but I refused to let go.

“Don’t come any closer!” I screamed. “Leena, you ruined my life! My father died because of you! I hate you! I couldn’t wait for you to die! You took everything from me, Damian, my future, my happiness! You don’t deserve to be happy!”

Leena’s eyes were wide with fear, but she didn’t move. She looked at her daughter with so much pain. I pressed the knife harder. Elara cried louder, her small body trembling.

“You will watch her die if you take one more step,” I shouted. “You will lose her just like I lost everything!”

Leena’s face changed. Something cold and determined filled her eyes. She raised her bow quickly. Before I could react, she released the arrow.

The arrow flew straight and fast. It hit me in the neck, going all the way through to the other side. Pain exploded through my body. My eyes widened in shock. The knife fell from my hand. I grabbed my bleeding neck, feeling warm blood pouring between my fingers.

I tried to say something. I tried to curse her one last time. But no words came out. Only blood. My legs gave out. I fell to the ground, still holding my neck. The world became blurry. I could see Leena running toward her daughter. I could see the children safe in their parents’ arms.

Then everything went dark. I was gone.

…….

LUNA LEENA POV

The moment Samara fell, I dropped my bow and ran. My legs moved without thinking. Damian ran beside me. We reached Elara at the same time. She was sitting on the ground, looking small and scared. We immediately hugged her body tightly, pulling her close between us. Her small frame felt so fragile in our arms. I could see slight bruises on her arms and face. That sight made my heart burn with pain and anger. My baby had been hurt. My sweet little girl had suffered because of that woman.

We looked at the other two. Ryker and Thorne were standing nearby, looking tired and much leaner than before. Their clothes were dirty, their faces pale, and their eyes showed how much they had been through. They had lost weight. They looked exhausted. The sight broke something inside me.

“I’m so sorry,” I whispered, my voice shaking. “We came as fast as we could. We are so sorry we took so long. Mummy and Daddy are here now. We are here.”

Tears poured down my face. I couldn’t stop them. The guilt was too heavy. I had left them. I had let this happen. Damian held all three of them close, his strong arms wrapping around our family. His eyes were wet too, but he stayed strong for us.

Ryker looked up at me. He gently reached out and cleaned my tears with his small hand. “Don’t cry, Mummy,” he said softly. “We are glad you finally came. We knew you would come. We knew you and Daddy would find us.”

Thorne nodded, hugging me tighter. “We are okay now. We are together.”

Elara buried her face in my chest. “Mummy… Daddy…”

We hugged each other happily, like one happy family. The five of us stayed in that tight embrace for a long time. The forest around us felt quieter. The danger was gone. Samara was dead. We had our children back. The relief washed over me like a warm wave. I kissed each of their heads, feeling their warmth, their heartbeats, their small bodies safe in my arms.

Damian kissed my forehead, then the children’s heads. “We are together now,” he said softly. “No one will take you away again. I promise.”

I held them closer, my tears still falling but this time they were tears of joy. My family was complete again.
