35- Two blocks of ice remind their own winters
I would like to know how to rebuild her out of steel. To extend my hand to her and lift her up with stability, to find her north and become her map. To try to help her escape definitively from everything that is and does not please her. I have never wanted with that surrender of the ocean and the sea on the horizon, I have never lived with anyone, I have not memorized any address, any number, nor have I invented 365 different ways to kiss the same person in a day. She, on the other hand, was a crack upon which there was an empire. Would I be capable of building a bigger empire? Even so, I would not hurt her, I would not leave with anyone because she was the cause and effect of the world turning, and I felt drunk on her water, and thirsty and lost when she was gone. Walking aimlessly with that strange feeling that the only reason the world continued to spin was so that we could meet, break clocks, and cycles marked by destiny. So that we could collide face to face like two blocks of ice that had long forgotten what it was to run with the sea water and ultimately end up breaking one against the mouth of the other to finally thaw. I knew that if Rocío was using drugs, it was because she was lying to reality, wanting to escape from her life, from that life of which I wanted to be a part. She was playing with fire, of course, but she had lost her reason due to her pyromaniac mouth. There are always infinite purely emotional problems behind any addiction, and I did not intend to judge her and distance myself from her; I wanted to help her and spend all the time I could with her.
Alice's parents dropped us off at the entrance of Jackos nightclub at ten o'clock sharp. To my surprise, it was raining, just like that first night when I arrived on time to live and dance with my stranger. With whom I had my second date at that place that night. This time, fate would be the one arriving late because I was standing there, in a short dress and looking gorgeous, waiting for her. Everth had canceled at the last minute; he had prepared a special dinner for Ángel, his new boyfriend, that night and wouldn’t be able to come. I wished him luck on his romantic evening and promised I would have fun for both of us. I thanked Safo more than ever for having Alice with me, guarding my Achilles' heel in case Rocío surprised me and ran away with someone else; after all, I barely knew her. If getting to know a person required knowing where they live, what their values and principles are, she was a complete stranger. On the other hand, if knowing someone meant closing your eyes and caressing your hands until they became theirs, like those times when I would close my eyes and touch those two scars on her hands. Like burnt by the silver smoke of a cigarette, round like two snowballs, I would close my eyes and feel that silver cold spreading across her skin until it ignited my lips. And if that meant knowing a person, maybe Rocío would never be a stranger to me.
Alice was dancing with a classmate from her university. I was waiting for Pandora, standing at the entrance of Jackos, anxious for her to open the box that contained all the evils and wonders of the world when our gazes met. Like a forest of fireflies, the nightclub dimmed, and Sky Full Of Stars by Coldplay began to play; I thought I saw us on a bus express listening to those songs from our phones. I took out my phone to text her, and when I looked up, her sparkling eyes turned off the lights of the nightclub. She looked gorgeous.
"When it rains, I feel at home, even if I’m far from it."
"I understand you; sometimes I think the rain tells us everything that life hides from us until the moment we’re meant to know it." – I admitted.
"And what has it just told you?"
"Well, that you look gorgeous." – I smiled with joy – "And that... I want to dance with you."
"I do too, but first let me tell you that you look very beautiful."
"You too." – I murmured, my cheeks burning – "Your hair looks incredible."
"Thank you." – She smiled.
We went for some drinks and met up with Alice. I introduced them, and they greeted each other with a kiss on the cheek.
Sometimes I just want to create a different reality... just different"
"But different how?" I wonder and I just can´t help fall in love for the beauty of her voice, so deep as if everything, every sense of maic and beauty lies into her voice. I can´t deny that Probably Psique was born to be a musician specially for the beauty and melody in her voice.
