CHAPTER FIFTY THREE

CHELSEA POV

Entering the office, I find Emily waiting for me with a small cake and a wine in her hands.

"Congratulations on your wealth girl," She shouted, dropping the cake and coming to hug me.

"You said you had class," I reminded. "Yes, a white lie," She answered while opening the drink. "Don't worry, it's non alcoholic," She added when she saw me staring at it.

"So why did you say you were unavailable?" She interrogated me. "Liam was around, I couldn't make you come," I replied..

"Woah, you pick him over me," She teased. "So tell me, was it worth it?" She asked, as I headed to the window, I should be able to see him, if I made it on time.

"I won't lie, it was and I would like to see him again," I admit, peeping to see him. He was there, talking to Natalie who smiled as they spoke.

I felt betrayed seeing him talking like nothing happened and worse I felt broken that once again, I had fallen for his lies, I felt anger and I felt disappointed, not at him but at me.

"Chelsea, what's wrong?" Emily asked, her worried eyes piercing my soul but the thing was, I couldn't answer, I just couldn't find the words.

Feeling frustrated, I stormed off, heading to the bathroom. Her step's followed me soon, searching each stall until she finally found me.

And without uttering a word, she hugged me. "He is a confused human being, I will make him pay for this, I promise," She calmly consoles, her words only making the tears spill the more.

"You need a distraction from him and all those things, you need to do something different, to show a new you," She proposed once she manage to get me stop.

"Come on, I already help you with some of your work before you got here, so you have free time for yourself," She proposed.

"And don't worry, anything happens," She pause, showing the gun on her. "Now let's go, you are supposed to be celebrating not crying," She stated, dragging me with her.

Without objecting, I followed her, all the way to the office. "Why here?" I asked. "I can't let an expensive champagne and cake go to waste, please I resisted eating it because of you," She snaps at me, making me carrying the cake while she took the wine and the glasses.

"You, are going to be on feeding duty, two bites to me and one to yourself," She instructed, passing me the fork.

"But you are pregnant," She mumbled. "Fine, three slices to me and two to yourself," She corrected the other, I laughed, seeing how she still gave herself the biggest share.

And even with the direction, she still had another fork close to her, one she uses to steal more bite when she had the opportunity.

But this time when she took a bite, she feed it to me. "it's not for you, it's for the baby, I'm learning to be a good godmother," She explained immediately I took the bite.

"If you like kids so much, why haven't you and Kelvin had one?" I questioned. "Didn't I tell you yet, maybe it skip my mind, but dad said I should graduate before getting pregnant,"

"He threatened Kel in really bad, you could have seen him, he nearly wet his pants," She mock, laughing to herself.

"But I'm almost done, would be leaving you but don't worry, I win come visit, I can even take attendance after you given birth, it's not like I can be challenged," She boasted.

"Alright, enough about me, we are here," She announced, parking in front of big store, I could hardly tell what exactly they did, it's only had a symbol, rather than a name.

"I never asked Kevin what that meant," She mumbled looking up with me. "But don't worry, if you are curious, just come in," She continued, pulling me in with her.

LIAM POV.

"Natalie, suddenly interested in helping Chelsea, what's game is she playing?" Kelvin asked in disbelief.

"I don't know, although she told me they plan on messing with her break, killing her just the way they killed her father, but I can't tell how true that is," I explained.

"Natalie have always been good with getting information, however, I don't plan to use her, neither do I plan to make her see her further," I announced.

"Chelsea doesn't like it and I don't want to upset her," I continue. "Yet, you had the conversation in front of her office, what signal were you sending?" He questioned.

"She didn't see alright, she was in her office, probably working," I replied. "Right, let's say so," he snorted.

"Moving on, I found the perfect secretary," He announced, giving me his file. He starts tomorrow," he informed.

"And I get to be free of my duty," He rejoiced. "Chelsea did say I should release you, something about stressing you, I can't really remember," I mentioned.

"See, someone that have a heart, I hope your child have her character, the world won't need a second you," he teased.

"I never asked for my replica, in fact, I hope it a girl," I stated. "Someone with her red hair and eyes, someone that I can protect and get to threatened the boys from coming her way," I grinned, the thought of this making me smile.

"Now that's scary," He muttered. "She is going to hate you," He says. "She won't, she would be daddy's girl," I argued.

"Geez, I can't believe you get to be a father before me, I wasn't expecting you to get married," Kelvin confessed.

"Well then, I'm happy for Chelsea, not you and I hope you treat her right," He says. "I do, she seems to have accepted me, she even allowed me to spend the night and offered her bed, I'm sure she would be waiting for another date night," I tell him.

"I'm sure nothing can ruin this," I bragged.
