CHAPTER FIFTY ONE
CHELSEA POV
"Do you still have suicidal thought?" He asked me again, his eyes having mixed feelings of both disappointment, worry and care.
"Since when did your eyes show emotion?" I asked him, ignoring his words. "Answer me," He demanded, surprisingly he didn't yell, his voice was calm, yet having the necessary authority the situation needed, maybe it was because I complained of headache or maybe it was a different case.
"I really don't want to regret crying in front of you, why can't things just end peacefully," I muttered, really low but it seemed his ear caught it.
"I will make you change your mind," He says, not dragging the matter further. "You used to have a wishlist, I think I heard it one time, we can do it, maybe it will make you want to stay," he suddenly brought up.
Sitting up, I couldn't help but laugh. "You are really going to let me carry on with the wishlist when I'm pregnant?" I asked in disbelief.
"Why, what was written in it?" He questioned back, confused. "Woah, I read it to you, I text it to you and I talked about it over and over again and you can't even remember a single word,"
"Well then, you were never interested in me back then, since you were only after your selfish interest," I said, standing up and was about to leave when he grabbed my hands.
"I was stupid back then, I accept but now that I'm interested in you, that I really dote on you, tell me, I will listen, to every complaint, to every words you have to say, to any gossip you wish to share," He sweetly said.
His words melted my anger away, freezing myself as I didn't know what to say or do. "If they are dangerous, then we will find a way to make them safe," He continued.
"Trust me," He whispered in my ear, his hands wrapped around my waist from behind. Compared to him, I was so small, both in height and size.
And when he rested his head on my shoulder, my body had a mixed reaction. A part, wanting to pull him away, being filled with fear but the other part, like the scent of his perfume, was different, drawing me in and making him want to smell him.
"You change your perfume," I commented. "The last one made you sick, I had to," He replies. With those words alone, the fear I had was slowly disappearing. I found myself turning round and hugging him, my nose resting on the spot that had more of the scent.
One last yawn from me, made him carry me up. "Your room," He calmly requested. "First room at the last floor," I instructed, resting my head on his chest.
His careful steps made falling asleep much easier and before I knew it, I had slept off, only waking up to the wonderful scent my nose grasped.
It seems to have become more sensitive with each passing day, the slight scent could either make me sick or make me crave more.
And right now, my stomach grumbles wanting to taste such deliciousness. Sitting up, I found out it was slightly past five in the evening but the day was already darkening, more like a heavy rain would come.
Having noticed this, I closed my window and proceeded to come down. The whole house was covered with a different sweet scent, prompting me to rush my step, meeting him downstairs. He was shirtless, only an apron prevented me from seeing his bare skin.
"Oh good, I was just about calling you," he mumbled, his words preventing me from looking careless at his body.
"What did you make for dinner?" I asked, watching how he only smiled and headed down.
"Well, you asked for steak, I made that, along with," He paused. " With a few things," he continued just as we reached the living room.
"Liam, this isn't few," I exclaimed, it was almost as if every food that ever existed was placed on my table.
"How long did it take you?" I asked. "Well, I don't know, after you sleep off, I set out to work. I made them in big batches so you don't stress yourself out cooking. But I don't think it took me that long,"he explained.
"I can't tell which you would like or which could make you sick, so it's better to have more options," He continued.
"Now go on and try it, you will see they are the best thing you have ever tasted," He boasted, his prideful self slowly returning.
He stands close to me, his eyes fix on me. Looking at the table, I started with the steak because why not.
Cutting it open to reveal a medium well done. They were different sauces to choose from, but I decided to try it on its own first.
I found myself unconsciously exclaiming out loud, the melt melting straight in my mouth releasing different flavors at once.
He smiled, pulling a seat close to me, taking my knife and fork from me. He helped me cut to an almost equal piece and would feed me from time to time, which I gladly accepted.
"No more," I objected, it was the fourth time I was saying this but he still managed to get me to eat something else.
"I swear, I will puke if you give me another one," I threatened, which made him stop. "Gosh I'm so heavy, I don't think I can stand up," I complained.
"I will store the rest later but you didn't really eat much," he mumbled, my eyes glaring at him as most plates were either empty or almost empty. .
He laughed when he saw my eyes, helping me up when he was done. "Alright, I better get going," He announced, pulling the apron and wearing his shirt..
"But it's raining," I pointed out. "Not much, I can still drive," He says. "Liam, it's heavy, like really heavy?" I emphasize.
"I have driven in the worst weather conditions love, don't worry, I will be fine, are you scared," He asked and I quickly shook my head to answer.
"Now remember, wear something thick, take your drugs and sleep tuck in," He lectured as he buttoned up.
"And most importantly, sleep with a gun under your pillow," he added. "If there is any emergency, call me,no matter how heavy the rain gets, I will come to you," he assured.
"Do you have work tomorrow?" I asked. "Why do you need me, I can always cancel?" He replied.
I really wanted to ask him to stay the night but I was scared to try something I won't be able to stop in the future.
"Are you feeling cold?" He asked. "You are looking pale," He noticed. Heading towards the door.
"It's nothing," I mumbled, slowly walking him towards the door. Once he opened the door, we noticed how heavy the rain was and when I looked at him, I could see the doubt in his eyes as he stared at the rain.
Breathing in, I knew there was no going back. "Why don't you stay?" I offered.
"Huh," he mumbled, shocked by my question. "Just stay a bit, till the heavy rain calms down," I propose..
"Alright, I can do that," He mumbled, slowly closing the door. "I didn't park my car well but that's not an issue, since I would be leaving after the rain stops.
But before I could answer, his phone rang, his face puzzled as he slowly answered his car.
And after a few yes and no, he suddenly frowned, his hands bringing out his gun. He proceeded to turn off all the bright lights, replacing them with the dull colored ones.
Before returning to me. "That's Emily's father, his men spotted some weird guys outside, closely waiting around, he thinks they are waiting for me to leave," He finally explained..
"And if you don't leave, do you think they would attack?" I asked, with my heart beating fast.
