"Are you guys done too?" asked Chennie with a cheerful face. Unlike Rheana and Brian who did not look well, they were like pale-faced vampires who had run out of steam.
Callista nodded her head. She looked at Chennie's hands which were filled with two very large shopping bags, even two snacks sticking out on the surface.
"Are they all snacks?" asked Callista who was still confused. If so, where would all the snacks go?
Callista helped Aric to move their purchases from the trolley to the counter. While doing so, Callista couldn't help but chuckle a little at Chennie, Rheana, and Brian's expressions. Did they just finish circling almost the entire supermarket? Chennie seemed to have bought every snack she came across.
"The total is eighty dollars," said the cashier.
When Aric was about to hand over his account card, Callista hurriedly stopped him. She handed over her account card first.
"Let me pay for this one," Callista said with a smile. Aric could only obey seeing how sweet that smile was.
"Is this everything?" asked Brian, who had been staring at Callista and Aric's purchases.
Callista nodded her head. "Is there anything else you want to buy? Just buy it, while we're still here."
Brian shook his head. "I'm just asking."
Callista shrugged her shoulders. What she bought was more than enough anyway.
"Are you going to cook later, Illis? You bought too much meat if it's just to use for the barbeque." After saying that, Chennie immediately shoved the chocolate into her mouth. Instantly her smile widened, her favorite chocolate never fails!
Not wanting to enjoy it alone, Chennie then fed the chocolate to her friends in turn. She looked at her friends who nodded compactly.
"It's delicious, right? I'm very good at choosing the best quality food."
Callista was stopped in her tracks by the sweetness that melted in her mouth. "What brand is this, Chen?" asked Callista which immediately made her friends stop their steps.
"How could I miss this brand of chocolate? I've tried almost every brand of chocolate in the supermarket closest to my mansion," Callista thought.
Chennie showed Callista the chocolate wrapper in her hand. Without mentioning the brand as her mouth was full for now. A few seconds after she swallowed all the food on her lips, she responded to Callista's words.
"Would you like some, Illis? I bought some."
Callista nodded her head enthusiastically. "It would be really good if the chocolate was melted and poured over vanilla ice cream as a topping."
Aric and the others took another step when they saw Callista walking first. They intentionally shortened their stride to match Callista's.
"I don't think we can buy sweets later because we brought too many paper bags." Brian's words were true, but it was like a thunderbolt in broad daylight for Callista. It was so hard to visit the mall these days because she was always under surveillance. And she was going to miss this golden opportunity?
Chennie patted Callista's shoulder lightly. "It's okay, Illis. I have a lot of ice cream stock in the mansion, we can melt this chocolate over the ice cream later. The chef at my house is also very good at making cakes." Chennie paused her words, raising her shopping bag a little higher. "And most importantly, I bought a lot of sweet snacks."
Rheana frowned at the long queue just to get on the elevator. "Can you take the escalator down, Illis?"
"We just need to wait for him, Rhen," Aric said expressing his disagreement.
Callista looked at Aric with a smile and a small nod. "It's okay, I can take the escalator."
With Aric's help, Callista set her crutches on the escalator stairs. Callista's body rolled slightly to the side, but she was able to overcome it by herself with the help of the crutch. Aric and the others who saw this made heart exercises.
"You made me stop breathing for a few seconds, Illis," said Aric who was right next to her. He had even prepared a hand to hold Callista's body in case she fell.
Chennie, Rheana, and Brian also stepped on the escalator stairs, right behind Callista and Aric. Rheana cast her gaze in the other direction, stroking her tightly beating chest. She was in shock.
After the sudden panic, they were now faced with the same nervousness. The escalator stairs had almost reached the bottom. Their concentration centered on Callista's crutch that was about to touch the bottom of the escalator.
Callista smiled happily as both of her feet made it to the bottom of the escalator perfectly. Of course, it was thanks to the strength of her arms and the pair of crutches. However, the smile did not last long. Callista's eyes were made to bulge when someone forcefully pulled her sling bag.
Aric spontaneously put down all the paper bags he was carrying and immediately grabbed Callista's waist. The sound of the support stick slapping against the marble was loud. Callista and Aric were frozen in place by the lightning-fast event. Chennie as well as Rheana immediately picked up the paper bag and Callista's crutch lying on the floor.
"I'll get her sling bag back," Brian said in almost a whisper. A second later the man immediately took his long legs running. So far no one could beat him when it came to running. Gold medals marking his marathon victories adorned his room.
His palms were clenched into fists until his muscles were imprinted. His jaw was hardened with his eyebrows drawn together. Many pairs of female eyes were staring at him, terrified by the creepy expression he was making.
He had waited patiently enough here by facing the laptop screen. The CCTV footage in the mall captured all the movements of his girl. And his anger repeatedly heated up seeing the gaze of the boy who was always staring intensely at his girl.
He couldn't. He would not hold back anymore.

Callista gasped when a firm hand tried to pull her arm. Suddenly she turned her head to the side.
She could feel her heartbeat racing. Her gaze could not move from the man behind her now. How was that crazy psychopath here? Right now her position with Aric was so unfavorable to her.
"Take your filthy hands off!" growled Kenward with a razor-sharp gaze. Chennie and Rheana who saw Kenward's expression were creeped out.
"You should have taken your hand off Illis' arm."
With a single jerk, Callista was now in Kenward's arms completely. Aric was shocked to feel the unequal strength between the man and himself. Who was that man? How did he know Callista?
"This girl is mine. She is my lover," said Kenward who immediately repositioned Callista. He lifted the light body and carried her bridal style.
