The towering twin doors opened wide without waiting for a command. The lithe eyes only glanced around and resumed their delayed footsteps. Along her footsteps, there were heads bowed down to greet her. Forming two lines with her in the middle.
Her feet stopped right in front of the elevator. One of the bodyguards behind her deftly pressed the elevator button. Still, with a flat stare, Callista entered the elevator and waited for the box to close.
The sound of the elevator opening was accompanied by an audible sigh. With sluggish steps, Callista walked towards her room, oh no, correction her room and also the psychopath's room. I don't know what possessed her, how could she have gotten used to calling the torture room her room? She had gone mad!
"Hah...!"
She threw her aching body on the bed. A pair of crutches stood proudly beside the bed. Her gaze was dreamy. She was now thinking about how to apologize to her friends.
When Callista turned her head, her eyes accidentally caught a large black box. Driven by curiosity, she sat up and reached out her hand to the box on the nightstand.
She slowly untied the red ribbon that tied the box. The box already looked luxurious from the looks of it, so it was no surprise that the items inside were also luxurious.
Her delicate fingers lifted the dress high. One corner of her lips was lifted.
"I admit her taste is good," she murmured.
No one likes beauty. And the dress Kenward had prepared for tonight was beautiful. It was simple, but it looked luxurious. A dress that suited her type.
"Ah, but I'm really tired today." After saying that, Callista lay back down. She needed nourishment from something that felt soft.

The sound of a walking stick colliding with marble filled the quiet hallway. Lush lashes and pink eyeshadow with a touch of glitter on her eyelids. Her beautiful hair was in a simple bun at the back with the hair deliberately untied.
Two women with large make-up boxes in their hands hurriedly made way for Callista to enter the elevator. Once she had passed them, the two women immediately took their places behind her.
One of the make-up ladies pressed the elevator button until the box took them away.

He put one of his hands in his pants pocket. A black suit with a formal white shirt and matching tie color. A look that men usually wear to work or attend formal events. However, don't forget one of the charms of a man. The jet-black hair that is styled in such a way, accentuates the untouched masculine side.
A pair of sharp eyes stared intently at the watch on his wrist. The man only raised one eyebrow at the possibility that he might be late. But that's okay, the lead always comes last.
His steps halted as he heard the sound of the elevator opening. His gaze shifted straight ahead, to where his girl was now.
His lips were silent. His gaze was locked on the one object in front of him. His feet seemed to be planted on the floor.
"How do I wear this mask?" asked Callista as she walked up to Kenward. She handed him a white mask that was also in the box, right on top of the dress. But the mask was a little different from the masks she knew, she didn't know how to use it.
Kenward immediately cast his gaze in another direction. He cleared his throat for a moment and then looked back at his interlocutor. However, there was a sight that caught his eye.
With a single movement, the hair that had been styled for hours was now back in place. Callista was a little surprised when such a large hand suddenly pulled the bun she was wearing, no, it seemed she was more surprised when Kenward slightly patted and adjusted her hair.
"Just let your hair down."
Kenward's words made the two makeup ladies behind Callista gape wide. They hurriedly silenced their mouths and looked down, it was foolish of them to straighten their eyes at the employer who could have cut off her head at this very moment.
The two makeup ladies bowed their backs for a moment and then quickly walked away from Kenward and Callista. A hint of regret flowed through their hearts like a rushing waterfall. If they had known this would happen, they could have decorated the master's hair without putting it up in a bun. But what could be done? Regret always comes at the end.
Kenward grabbed the mask held out by Callista. Without warning, Kenward brought himself closer to Callista. Callista spontaneously closed her eyes when the pair of hands came close to her face. However, she did not feel anything painful.
Callista opened one eye and the other followed suit. Kenward was now attaching the white mask to her eye area.
"You just need to press the black button on the side of the mask. It's the same way to put it on and take it off."
Sure enough. As soon as the small black button was pressed, the white mask immediately stuck around her as if it had been glued on, even though it was not. Callista was amazed at that. This was a technological advancement that she had just discovered.
"Ahh!"
Callista spontaneously wrapped her arms around Kenward's neck. The man was again doing something suddenly and without asking her permission. What if she fell because he suddenly picked her up like this?
Kenward placed Callista gently on the sofa near them. He got up and passed out of Callista's sight and a few moments later the man came back to Callista. He squatted right in front of the girl.
Callista froze when their skin touched. She blinked her eyes repeatedly to rouse herself from her reverie. She looked intently at Kenward who was taping an object to her leg. An object that matched the color of his skin, even when it stuck, it looked like his own skin, especially since it was thin. Could it be human skin?
Callista covered her mouth and was about to scream. What exactly was this man doing to her legs?
Kenward rose to his feet and immediately put both hands into his pants pockets.
"Try to stand up. It's a tool to help you."
Callista's eyebrows drew together. She had never heard of a device like this. But if it was true that this tool could make her stand up, it was a good thing!
Callista hesitantly tried to rise to her feet with the help of the strength of her two hands. The unexpected result was that the device responded to the will of her thighs. Due to the accident, her legs below the knees did not respond, but thanks to this miracle device she was able to stand up!
Callista shut her mouth in amazement. She was amazed! How could there be such a perfect device? She repeatedly asked herself this question as she tried to take a step. This device could help her walk like normal people, it even looked like it was integrated into her legs. What a great piece of technology!
Callista twisted her body to get back to where she was, but because her legs were still weak, she was made to stagger backward.
A hard arm was wrapped around his waist. He was made to twist slightly due to the suddenness of the action. But one thing she could be sure of, thanks to the owner of that arm, her body did not slap against the marble.
Callista was frozen in place. She could not take her eyes off that pair of eagle eyes. A pair of eyes that seemed to ensnare her and tried to dig inside her.
"Why is my heart racing?
