A tense atmosphere enveloped the narrow alley. A flat look graced his face. He could feel his back getting wet. But he didn't care about that.
The girl he was lifting like a sack of rice was shaking violently, but that did not break Kenward's focus on the rats before him.
One thing Kenward could be thankful for was that they didn't carry ranged weapons. Since he wasn't carrying his favorite knife and pistol at the moment.
With a spinning motion, Kenward's kicks evenly hit the faces of the three men. One by one, they fell, one of them even vomiting blood. Certainly an easy opponent for him who had been studying martial arts since childhood.
Kenward went to one of them who looked particularly bad. The man's breathing was ragged and his face was red. Did his attack earlier hit the fatal part? Uh, too bad he could only bring two people to his mansion.
Kenward squatted right in front of the man. His left hand stretched forward. With a single movement, the man's collarbone popped out. Callista who heard the loud cracking sound of the bone hurriedly silenced her mouth so as not to scream.
"What will happen to me? Surely he won't forgive me. Is today the day I die?" Callista thought with tears in her eyes.
The sound of hoofbeats could be heard approaching. From the number of pairs of feet visible to Callista's eyes, she was certain that they were Kenward's bodyguards.
"This is so tiring. If today is indeed the day of my death, please make it painless," Callista's heartfelt hopeless.
"Take the two men, the suitcase, and also the walking stick lying there," Kenward ordered. Having finished saying that, he immediately waltzed away. Not only did he get the little girl back, but he also got two prey that were perfect for torture. What a stroke of luck for him.

The sound of the car door closing made Callista gasp. Kenward carried Callista into the mansion like he was carrying a sack of rice. Callista did not resist in the slightest, she had given up.
The elevator doors opened revealing Kenward's face with a furrowed brow. His eyes were now as sharp as knives. With hurried steps, Kenward carried himself and Callista into the room.
The door was hit. It was slapped hard. But it was not noticed by Kenward who had the title of the billionaire. Just a door like that, he could buy up the factory that made it.
Kenward cruelly threw Callista's frail body to the floor. Callista could feel her entire body colliding with the floor throbbing with pain. There was a bruise there.
"Like father like daughter. You guys are not that different." Kenward gave a small chuckle which made him look even creepier. Callista who was trying to lift her body to sit up using her trembling hands, of course, did not listen well to that.
Kenward looked at Callista who was not paying much attention to his words. He didn't like that!
With long strides, Kenward approached Callista. Bending his body slightly, one of Kenward's hands grabbed Callista's chin. Bringing the direction of the girl's gaze to look only at him, nothing else.
With his strong fingers, he pressed Callista's cheeks together. Callista winced in pain at that.
"Did you think you could run away from me that easily? Go to your dear daddy and complain to him? Are you sure your daddy can beat me without getting hurt?" Kenward smiled faintly at the look of surprise on the face of the girl in his grasp at the moment. It seemed that his words had affected this girl.
"Always remember, I will always be two steps ahead of you."
Kenward straightened his body. It would be tiring if he kept slouching. Of course, the one who had to obey him was this girl. Grabbing her cheeks and making her fall to the floor.
An idea suddenly occurred to him. Kenward smiled very faintly. This idea seemed like it would be fun. It just so happened that he had enough facilities to realize his crazy idea.
Kenward simply let Callista's body fall to the floor. Without giving Callista any time to think, Kenward immediately grabbed one of Callista's hands and dragged the girl along with him.
"Do you remember what I repeatedly told you? If you disobey or disobey my orders, you will be punished, Illis."
The sound of the door breaking due to the long leg kick was deafening. The white twin doors were also hit.
A fairly strong wind immediately hit the face. The view of the night sky studded with dazzling starlight was beautiful. As beautiful as his idea.
Kenward released his grip. Callista immediately pulled on her wrist which was in pain. Even the grip left a reddish mark. No count how many tears have come out of the shelter. This was painful.
Kenward pulled Callista's waist closer without any distance to his body. Bringing the short girl up to his height. He took a few steps forward and made Callista sit on the balcony divider.
"I will see how hard you try to survive." Kenward's eyes darkened, making Callista's bad thoughts even worse. Spontaneously she looked back, right below them was a pool that looked very deep.
"May we meet again, Illis."
Callista's body froze when a strong push was given by Kenward on her shoulder. Her body staggered backward. Her hands stretched forward but all she got was empty air.
