Chapter 96 Closeness

Chapter 96 Closeness

Evelyn stood in front of the full-length mirror, adjusting the beautiful red dress that fit her perfectly.

The fabric hugged her curves, accentuating her figure, and the color brought out the warmth in her complexion.

Her hair fell in loose curls around her shoulders, framing her face with a soft elegance. She took a deep breath, admiring the final look, feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves.

As she was lost in thought, she felt a pair of strong arms wrap around her from behind.

Dominic’s warm presence enveloped her, and she leaned back into him, closing her eyes. His hands gently rested on her slightly swollen bump, a tender smile playing on his lips.

“You look stunning,”

he whispered, his breath warm against her ear.

Evelyn opened her eyes and met his gaze in the mirror.

“Thank you,”

she replied softly, her hand covering his on her bump.

“I can’t believe how much has changed.”

Dominic nodded, his eyes filled with love and admiration.

“We’ve been through so much, but look at us now. We’re stronger because of it.”

She turned in his arms to face him, their bodies close.

“I’m so grateful for you, Dominic. For everything you’ve done and everything we’ve overcome together.”

He cupped her face gently, his thumb brushing her cheek.

“I’d do it all again for you, Evelyn. For our family.”

Their lips met in a tender kiss, the world around them fading away. The kiss deepened, becoming more passionate as they held each other close.

Dominic’s hands roamed her back, and she tangled her fingers in his hair, losing herself in the moment.

When they finally pulled away, both breathless, Dominic rested his forehead against hers.

“I love you, Evelyn,”

he murmured.

“I love you too, Dominic,”

she replied, her voice filled with emotion.

They stood there for a moment, savoring the intimacy and connection between them. Finally, Dominic broke the silence.

“Are you ready to go?”

Evelyn nodded, her eyes sparkling.

“Ready as I’ll ever be.”

Hand in hand, they walked out of the bedroom and made their way to the car waiting outside. Dominic opened the door for her, helping her inside before getting in himself.

As they drove off, the city lights reflecting off the car windows, Evelyn felt a deep sense of contentment. Despite everything they had been through, they were together, and that was all that mattered.

Dominic and Evelyn pulled up to the charming, ivy-covered house where her family had gathered for a long-awaited family dinner.

As they walked up the pathway hand in hand, Evelyn’s heart swelled with anticipation and joy.

The warm glow from the windows spilled onto the lawn, casting a welcoming light that seemed to reflect the happiness she felt inside.

The front door swung open before they even had a chance to knock, and Eloise greeted them with a delighted smile, her daughter Lily bouncing excitedly at her side.

“Evelyn! Dominic! You’re here!”

Eloise exclaimed, pulling Evelyn into a warm hug.

A giggle escaped Evelyn’s lips as she embraced her sister.

“We wouldn’t miss it for the world,”

she replied, her eyes twinkling with happiness.

“ I can’t wait “

Evelyn smiled at Eloise who touched her bump lovingly making Dominic to step forward and wrap his arm around Evelyn’s waist.

Roy appeared in the doorway next to lily as the both kids saw Evelyn and Dominic and rushed to them and everyone gasped realizing they were running towards Evelyn.

Dominic stepped forward , scooping the both kids in his arms as they hugged him making Evelyn to smile.

“ aunt , you’re fat “

Everyone chuckled making Evelyn to grin widely.

“ shes not fat , lily. Shes carrying babies “

Eloise spoke making lily to look at hr mother in wide eyes.

“ babies ? Can i see them ? “

A giggle escaped Evelyn’s lips as Eloise chuckled at her daughter.

“ sweetie. Not yet , but soon “

“Look at you, glowing as always,” Dylan teased, winking playfully.

Evelyn blushed, her hand instinctively resting on her bump.

“Stop it, Dylan,”

she said, trying to suppress her shy smile.

“ dude she’s married. Back off “

Dominic stepped forward , jealousy at its peak as Dylan stepped back raising his hand. Surrendering.

They all made their way inside, where the rest of the family had gathered around a large, beautifully set dining table.

The room was filled with laughter, conversation, and the delicious aroma of home-cooked food. Evelyn’s father looked up from his seat and gave her a warm, proud smile.

Ethan, already engaged in a lively discussion with Kylie, waved them over enthusiastically.

As they settled in, the teasing began.

“So, how’s the future mama doing?” Kylie’s husband asked, grinning.

“Yeah, Evelyn, any crazy cravings yet?”

Eloise chimed in, her eyes sparkling with mischief.

Evelyn’s cheeks turned a deep shade of pink as she tried to wave off their comments.

“Oh, stop it, you guys,” she said, laughing despite her embarrassment.

Dominic wrapped an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close.

“She’s been amazing. Strong and beautiful as ever,”

he said, his voice filled with pride and love.

The family continued to tease and celebrate, the room buzzing with joy and excitement.

Evelyn’s initial shyness melted away as she basked in the warmth and love surrounding her. She couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of contentment.

As the evening wore on, Evelyn looked around the table at the faces of those she loved.

The laughter, the shared stories, and the gentle teasing all blended together into a perfect symphony of happiness.

For the first time in a long while, she felt at peace. Her heart was full, her life was rich with love, and she knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, she had everything she needed right here.

—————————————————————

The soft glow of moonlight filtered through the curtains, casting a gentle light across the bedroom.

Evelyn and Dominic lay on the bed, the quiet of the night enveloping them in a cocoon of intimacy. The world outside seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of them in their own private universe.

Evelyn shifted slightly, her body seeking his warmth. She reached out, her hand finding his in the dim light.

“Dominic,”

she whispered, her voice barely more than a breath.

He turned to her, his eyes softening as he gazed at her.

“Yes, my love?”

he replied, his voice tender.

She squeezed his hand, a silent request for closeness. Dominic understood and leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips.

Evelyn responded eagerly, her kiss growing more urgent and hungry. The intensity of her desire made Dominic chuckle softly against her lips.

“Eager tonight, aren’t we?”

he teased, a playful glint in his eyes.

Evelyn’s cheeks flushed with embarrassment, and she quickly hid her face in his chest, her laughter muffled against his skin.

“Stop teasing me,”

she mumbled, though the smile on her lips betrayed her amusement.

Dominic wrapped his arms around her, holding her close.

“I can’t help it. You’re just too adorable,”

he said, his voice a mix of affection and mischief.

She peeked up at him, her eyes sparkling.

“I just want to feel close to you,”

she admitted, her voice softening.

He kissed the top of her head, his heart swelling with love.

“I know, and I want that too,”

he whispered, his hand gently stroking her back.

Their lips met again, this time with a slower, deeper passion. They moved together, finding a rhythm that spoke of love, trust, and a deep connection.

Dominic’s hands roamed her body, each touch sending shivers down her spine. Evelyn responded with equal fervor, her hands exploring the familiar contours of his body.

They lost themselves in the moment, the world outside forgotten.

The only thing that mattered was the feel of each other, the shared warmth and the unspoken promises in every touch and kiss.

Eventually, they settled back into the pillows, breathless and content.

Evelyn nestled into Dominic’s embrace, her head resting on his chest. She could hear the steady beat of his heart, a comforting reminder of his presence.

“I love you,”

she murmured, her fingers tracing idle patterns on his skin.

“I love you too, Evelyn,”

he replied, his hand gently caressing her hair.

“Always.”

With a soft sigh, she closed her eyes, feeling safe and cherished in his arms. As they drifted off to sleep, their hearts beat in perfect harmony, a testament to the deep and abiding love they shared.

“ i want more “
