Chapter 102 Kaia Is Back

Chapter 102 Kaia Is Back

The sun was setting, casting a warm, golden glow over Evelyn and Dominic’s home as they arrived with their newborn twins, Dante and Dimitri.

The driveway and front porch were filled with family and friends, eager to welcome them back. Balloons, streamers, and a banner that read

“Welcome Home, Evelyn, Dante, and Dimitri!”

decorated the entrance.

As the car pulled up, everyone cheered and clapped. Dominic carefully helped Evelyn out of the car, her legs still weak from the ordeal.

Kylie and Ethan rushed forward to take the twins' car seats, each one beaming with pride and excitement.

“Welcome home, Evelyn!”

Lilah called out, her voice filled with joy.

Evelyn smiled, feeling overwhelmed by the love surrounding her.

“Thank you, everyone. It’s so good to be home.”

Seeing Evelyn’s difficulty in walking, Dominic scooped her up into his arms effortlessly, carrying her across the threshold.

“I’ve got you,”

he whispered, kissing her forehead.

Inside, the house had been transformed into a cozy haven. Soft lighting, fresh flowers, and a tidy living room greeted them.

The nursery was ready, filled with everything they would need for their twins.

Dominic carried Evelyn up to their bedroom, gently laying her down on the bed.

“Rest here for a bit,”

he said, his eyes filled with concern and love.

“I’ll bring the twins up in a moment.”

Just as everything seemed to be settling into a serene and peaceful moment, the door burst open, and Alex rushed in, his face pale and eyes wide with panic.

“Dominic, we have a problem,”

he said breathlessly.

“Angelina has run away from the hospital.”

Dominic’s expression shifted from tender concern to tense anxiety.

“What? When?”

“Just now,”

Alex replied, his voice urgent.

“The hospital called. They said she disappeared from her room. No one knows where she went.”

Evelyn’s heart raced, the sense of peace shattered by the sudden news.

“ how is Angelina?”

she asked, her voice trembling slightly.

Dominic took a deep breath, trying to remain calm.

“She’s fine. I need to find her.”

“I’m coming with you,” Alex insisted, his determination evident.

Dominic looked torn, glancing back at Evelyn and the twins, then at Alex.

“I need to make sure Evelyn and the twins are safe first,”

he said, his protective instincts kicking in.

Evelyn reached out, grabbing his hand.

“Go, Dom. Find her. We’ll be alright here with everyone.”

Dominic squeezed her hand, gratitude and worry in his eyes.

“I’ll be back as soon as I can,”

he promised, then turned to Alex.

“Let’s go.”

As Dominic and Alex rushed out of the room, Evelyn watched them leave, her heart heavy with concern.

The warmth and joy of their homecoming had been abruptly overshadowed, but she knew Dominic would do everything in his power to resolve the situation quickly.

Surrounded by her supportive family, Evelyn took a deep breath, holding onto the hope that everything would soon be alright.

Dominic quietly opened the front door, stepping into the dimly lit hallway. The house was silent, the earlier buzz of excitement now replaced with the soft sounds of a sleeping household.

His face was etched with worry and exhaustion, the events of the evening weighing heavily on his mind.

But as he walked through the familiar surroundings, a sense of calm began to settle over him.

He made his way upstairs to the bedroom, pausing at the doorway to take in the sight before him. Evelyn was asleep on the bed, her face peaceful and relaxed.

Next to her, in a pair of cribs, Dante and Dimitri slept soundly, their tiny chests rising and falling with each breath.

The sight of his family, safe and serene, made all the worries and fears momentarily melt away.

Dominic stepped quietly into the room, careful not to make any noise. He slipped off his shoes and climbed into bed behind Evelyn, wrapping his arms around her in a gentle, protective embrace.

The warmth of her body against his brought a sense of relief and contentment.

Evelyn stirred slightly, mumbling in her sleep as she felt his presence.

"Dom... are you okay?"

she asked, her voice thick with drowsiness.

Dominic smiled, pressing a soft kiss to the back of her neck.

"I'm okay,"

he whispered, his voice filled with love.

"Everything’s fine now. Go back to sleep, love."

Evelyn sighed softly, relaxing further into his embrace.

"I’m glad you're home,"

she murmured before drifting back into a deeper sleep.

Dominic held her close, his worries fading into the background as he listened to the rhythmic breathing of his wife and sons.

“ how do i tell you that Kaia is back “
