Chapter 100 Wedding And Pain
Chapter 100 Wedding And Pain
Evelyn winced slightly as she shifted her weight, a reminder of the lingering pain from the previous night. But today was about joy and celebration, not her discomfort.
The hotel buzzed with activity as everyone busied themselves with preparations for Lilah and Alex’s wedding.
Despite the chaos, Evelyn found herself at Alex's side, knowing he had no family of his own to rely on.
Alex stood nervously in front of a full-length mirror, adjusting his cufflinks for the hundredth time.
Evelyn watched him with a fond smile, holding up the wedding outfit she had carefully chosen for him.
"I think this will look perfect on you,"
she said, handing him the suit.
Alex took the outfit, his anxiety momentarily replaced with a grateful smile.
"You really think so? I’m not sure about the fit."
Evelyn nodded reassuringly.
"I got it tailored to your size. Trust me, you'll look amazing."
As Alex changed into the suit, Evelyn arranged the final touches, smoothing out wrinkles and adjusting the tie.
"You know, it’s completely normal to feel nervous,"
she said softly, sensing his unease.
"But Lilah loves you, and that’s all that matters today."
Alex looked at her, his eyes filled with appreciation.
"Thanks, Evelyn. I don’t know what I’d do without you."
Just then, Dominic entered the room, his gaze instantly finding Evelyn. He smiled warmly but couldn’t hide the hint of impatience in his eyes.
"Hey, love, I was looking for you. We need to go over some final details for the reception."
Evelyn turned to Dominic, her heart tugged in two directions. She squeezed Alex’s hand reassuringly before stepping towards her husband.
"I’ll be right back, Alex. Don’t worry, everything is going to be perfect."
As she walked over to Dominic, she whispered,
"He's really nervous, Dom. Just needs a little more support."
Dominic nodded, wrapping an arm around her waist.
"He’s lucky to have you. Now, let’s make sure this wedding is unforgettable."

Evelyn stood before the mirror, her reflection a vision of elegance in the stunning red silk long dress that clung to her curves and flowed gracefully to the floor.
The dress accentuated her beauty, its rich hue complementing her complexion perfectly.
She was putting the final touches on her makeup when a sharp pain suddenly shot through her stomach, causing her to pause and grip the edge of the vanity.
She closed her eyes, taking slow, deep breaths to try and steady herself. The pain was brief but intense, leaving her momentarily disoriented.
"What was that?"
she whispered to herself, confusion and worry mixing in her mind. She didn't want anything to ruin this special day for Lilah and Alex.
After a few moments, the pain subsided, and Evelyn straightened up, smoothing her dress and adjusting her hair.
She forced a reassuring smile at her reflection, determined not to let anything spoil the celebration.
Just then, Dominic appeared at the door, his eyes lighting up as they fell on her.
"Wow, you look incredible,"
he said, stepping into the room.
Evelyn turned to face him, her smile now genuine.
"Thank you, Dom. You don't look so bad yourself."
Dominic closed the distance between them, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her close.
"You sure you're okay?"
he asked softly, sensing something in her demeanor.
"I'm fine,"
she replied, her voice steady but her heart still fluttering with residual anxiety.
"Just a little pre-wedding jitters, I guess."
Dominic's eyes softened with concern but also with undeniable desire.
"You always know how to make an entrance,"
he murmured, leaning down to kiss her. His lips were warm and insistent, and Evelyn found herself melting into his embrace.
Their kiss deepened, growing more passionate by the second. Dominic's hands roamed over her back, drawing her even closer, and Evelyn responded with equal fervor.
For a moment, the pain and worries were forgotten, replaced by the familiar and comforting sensation of Dominic's love.
As they broke apart, breathless and flushed, Dominic rested his forehead against hers.
"Let's go make this a day to remember,"
he whispered, his eyes filled with love and determination.
Evelyn nodded, feeling a renewed sense of strength and purpose.
"Yes, let's,"
she replied, taking his hand as they prepared to step into the whirlwind of the wedding day, ready to support their friends and each other.

Evelyn stood among the crowd, her heart swelling with emotion as she watched Lilah and Alex exchange their vows.
The outdoor ceremony was set against a backdrop of blooming flowers and twinkling fairy lights, casting a magical glow over the entire scene.
The couple’s faces were radiant with love, and Evelyn couldn’t help but be moved by the beauty of the moment.
As the officiant declared them husband and wife, Lilah and Alex shared a tender kiss, sealing their promises to each other.
The crowd erupted into applause, and Evelyn felt tears welling up in her eyes. She tried to blink them away, but the overwhelming joy and sentiment were too much to contain.
A tear slid down her cheek, followed by another, and soon she was openly weeping. Catching sight of her emotional display, a few nearby guests chuckled softly, their smiles warm and understanding.
Evelyn's tears were a testament to the deep love and connection she felt for her friends.
"Look at Evelyn, she's a mess!"
someone teased good-naturedly, causing a ripple of laughter to spread through the crowd.
Dominic, standing beside her, wrapped an arm around her shoulders and gently wiped away a tear with his thumb.
"You're such a softie,"
he murmured, kissing her temple.
Evelyn laughed through her tears, her cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and happiness.
"I can't help it,"
she said, her voice thick with emotion.
"They just look so happy."
As the ceremony concluded and the guests made their way to the reception area, the atmosphere became even more lively.
Music filled the air, and soon everyone was dancing, laughing, and talking. Evelyn found herself swept up in the joyful energy, her earlier tears replaced by a radiant smile.
She danced with Dominic, twirling and laughing as the music played on. She shared moments with Lilah and Alex, congratulating them and sharing in their happiness.
The night was filled with laughter and love, a perfect celebration of the couple’s new beginning.
Evelyn couldn't have imagined a more beautiful wedding, surrounded by friends and filled with unforgettable moments.
She knew this day would be cherished in her heart forever, a reminder of the love and joy that bound them all together.
But …… she was not feeling well.
She held her bump, feeling the intense contractions making her whimper in pain.
“ Evelyn ? “
She heard Dominic’s tense voice and she knew this was much of the trouble.
