Chapter 83
The following days were pure bliss as Alucard officially announced that he and I were together again. My mate had thrown a party to celebrate it even though he was busy preparing for his upcoming diplomatic mission.
"Let's have a toast, everyone. I can finally be with my mate after many years of being apart from her," Alucard said with a smile and looked at me lovingly. "For so long, I have been longing for her. My beloved, my dollface, my only love, Faustina Miles Bellwood."
My heart was about to burst at how he told them without batting an eye how he was so in love with me. I couldn't help but smile and give him a peck kiss on his cheek.
For a moment, I saw a small frown on his lips, only to learn his feelings that he didn't like me doing a simple kiss. He wanted more... a wild one.
I cupped his cheek and tiptoed to whisper in his ear. "Behave, and you shall be rewarded, pudding."
I heard his soft gasp before he cleared his throat, and his eyes glowed in lust for a second. I smiled from ear to ear since I knew how to tame this man and his desires. That was one of the things that made him look adorable.
"Mommy! Daddy!"
After Alucard's speech, we both melted when our triplets ran to us. Alucard knelt before them and tried to carry the three of them.
"Oh, my brave pups have grown so well. How am I supposed to carry the three of you?" he said, kissing their foreheads.
Luciana, Lutrich, and Lumiere giggled. "Daddy, did this mean that we are going to have another sibling, right?" they asked in unison, making my eyes widen since they voiced it so loudly in front of the crowds.
"Kids!" I hushed them as soon as possible, earning a chuckle from Alucard. "Pudding..." I glared at him, knowing well that he liked it that our kids kept asking about this.
"Soon, my babies. Soon," he uttered meaningfully while wriggling his eyebrows in my direction.
Shaking my head, I playfully rolled my eyes, my lips stretching into a smile. "I will feed them. I shall take it from here."
Alucard shook his head. "I'll handle it." He put down our pups and placed his arm over my shoulders. "You should get along with your peers, dollface. It is time for you to relax and let me handle our pups, hmm?"
"But..."
He hushed and hugged my side. "I need to make amends for the lost time I was not with you." He kissed my temple. "Now, enjoy the party I prepared just for you." He winked and pushed me gently to be far away from him.
I hesitated momentarily when Alucard turned his back on me and tended to our pups. I was initially feeling uneasy, but I knew I should trust my man with this task.
After all, I had witnessed how caring he was.
So, I did what he said even though I was still not alright being around Alucard's parents, especially Grand Alpha King Apollo, who still didn't like me despite learning that Alucard and I rekindled our mate bond. As for Mother Luna Queen Adeline, she was so happy that her second son was more glad than before.
I went to socialize with my peers even though I could still see that they were hesitant to approach me because of my status and my standing because of being Alucard's mate. I knew that it wouldn't be easy, but I knew how to adapt well to the aristocratic society.
I even got along with Jaromir, Evelina, and Edison, and they were so delighted about this event.
"You deserve happiness, Tina. How much more if you get to marry His Royal Highness?" Edison teased and gently squeezed my hand to show his fatherly support for my relationship with Alucard.
I chuckled and squeezed his hand back. "Thank you, Edison." I wanted to talk about the marriage since Alucard and I hadn't talked about it.
I knew our relationship would lead to that phase, but I still wanted to cherish and understand him more. And I didn't get to say three words, eight letters Alucard wanted to hear. He knew well that he still needed to earn my heart.
I looked at Jaromir, who had a look of approval. From what I saw right now, it was a relief that he was slowly accepting Alucard as my mate. Alucard had been earning his trust, which was a good thing to happen.
On the other hand, Evelina raised a toast at me and winked. The teasing gaze was evident in her eyes. "I shall expect a pup on in the near future."
I playfully rolled my eyes. "Stop..." I said, and then we both giggled.
I spent time with them, watching how Alucard dealt with our children. I couldn't help smiling as he was being hands-on with them while I was watching them from the gallery, enjoying myself with a glass of champagne.
"Cute..." I muttered as the rim of the glass was on my lower lip, shaking my head in amusement. "Pudding looks so cute," I added.
I didn't know how long I had been watching them, but my smile instantly faded when I felt a presence, only for me to see Charity, who was on the edge of the staircase of the gallery.
"Mind if I join you?" she asked sweetly, raising the glass she was holding.
"Of course." I gestured my side where she could settle there.
Charity approached me, thinking that he would be beside me, but she gained a distance, which surprised me. She had a small smile, but it didn't reach her eyes.
We were enveloped with silence, and only the guests of the party and the music being played were the only ones filling this deafening silence between us. I shrugged it mentally and stared at Alucard again, who was the love of my life.
I foresaw this in my vision before we got to have a family.
"You must be happy now that Alucard is back to you."
That made me look at Charity, who had just spoken. Upon checking on her, I caught her looking directly in Alucard's direction, along with our pups.
"Indeed. It is worth to give him a chance."
I knew that I should be mindful of my words since I knew that she was Alucard's fiancee, but I wanted to be proud that Alucard was mine again. He would always be mine and mine alone.
I took a sip of my drink, not looking at her but at my beloved pudding. Just by gazing at him, my heart was pounding so fast. With our mate bond reconnected, my wolf wouldn't stop praising how attractive he was to our eyes.
"Have you heard? I will be with His Royal Highness in his diplomatic mission."
I arched my eyebrow. "What are you trying to say, Lady Charity?"
About that news, Alucard told me that it was his father who ordered that Charity would be with him to handle the textiles. At first, I was skeptical since they had a past, but I remembered that Charity was just once his fiancee. I believed in Alucard that nothing happened between them, and I was the only woman he had engaged with at that time.
Charity cleared her throat and cast a soft smile. "I mean, are you not feeling threatened that I will be with him? You know..." she paused, slightly arching her eyebrow.
A smile appeared on my lips. For some reason, how she acted right now made me feel like she wanted to insist on something. "Why would I be worried? I know that Alucard wouldn't dare to do something behind my back, Lady Charity," I replied. "After all, he loves me so dearly that he wants to tag me with him if possible."
I watched her reaction with a slight crease on her forehead. I was uncertain if she found my words unpleasant or if it could be curiosity.
Charity slightly scoffed. "Lucky... it must be nice that no one will steal your man, right? How does it feel?"
My eyes slightly squinted at how she sounded right now. When I looked at her, she was still in her delicate, composed posture, yet her eyes expressed something.
"Indeed. So, you need to meet your mate soon and will understand what I feel." I worded it that I understood her condition, but Charity smiled bitterly.
"Coming from you, huh?"
"Are you trying to insist on something, Lady Charity?"
"I don't know, Your Serene Grace. Must you be forgetting something?"
I didn't know how it led to this, but Charity and I glared at each other. It was surprising since I didn't expect we would be like this when I thought our conversation would be harmless, but I thought wrong.
Looking at her, gone was the delicate posture she had right now and was exchanged into a different person. We both stood tall, not backing down.
Right now, I could sense her bitterness just as she looked at me.
"Are you acting like this because Alucard called the engagement years ago?" It wasn't so hard for me to conclude. The way she was acting must be the history of her and Alucard.
Charity's expression was clouded with dark clouds, confirming my suspicion. "You don't de—"
"Dollface."
I flinched and spun around as soon as I heard Alucard's voice. Then, I saw him, who had just arrived, with a smile plastered on his handsome face, but it soon faded as soon as he saw me with Charity.
"Lady Charity, greetings..." There was uncertainty in his tone as Alucard approached me and laid his arm over my shoulders.
Charity caught on it before she looked away and curtsied before him. "Greetings, Your Royal Highness. I remember that I shall take care of something." After that, she didn't wait for Alucard's approval and walked away.
"Did something happen between you two?" Alucard asked as soon as she disappeared and cupped my face. "Dollface?"
Shaking my head, I tiptoed to peck his lips. "Nothing. We are just catching up," I replied and clung to his arm. "Where are our pups? I missed them already," I said, diverting his attention from what he noticed earlier.
