INTERLUDE; You Failed

INTERLUDE

In a dimly lit, foreboding palace shrouded in shadows, the General's presence loomed ominously as he sat on his throne. Candle sconces flickered, casting wavering, spectral glimmers of light that danced upon the cold, stone floor.

Niklaus, entered the room, the air grew thick with tension. His footsteps echoed through the vast chamber.

The General sat perched on his throne, his eyes cold and unrelenting beneath a heavy brow.

Niklaus knelt with one leg and face down to greet him. The General acknowledged his presence with a wave.

"Sir, we are yet to locate wolf"

"You have come to yet with another report of your failure" The General said, with a voice, so chilling, yet so dead.

"I'm sorry sir"

"Save it, you know how I hate apologies"

He rose to his and walked towards Niklaus. "I held you in high regards, I felt like you are different from other humans. You are starting to dissapoint me Niklaus."

"I will find sir"

"Need I remind you important she is to me. She is the one of the most powerful werewolf I've ever seen in my 100, 000 years of life. She's still untamed doesn't know the power she possesses, not only could she defeat me, if she get to discover her power, but if I get to suck her essence, i won't need to suck on another wolf for atleast a thousand years."

"This is such an important job to me, I entrusted you with you because I assumed you were the only one who can. You are failing me Niklaus, you are failing me"

"I will catch her master. We have spread her wanted posters across the regions and the bounty on her head will be incresed."

The General lunged at Niklaus in a blink eye and was hoisting him in the air.

"You are sending bounty hunters, against the most powerful werewolf in the world" He thundered.

"I'm sorry master, I will go after her myself"

"For your sake, don't come back unless you have the white wolf." He said.

He threw Niklaus across the room and watched her back collide the wall heavily.

"You can always be replaced Nicklaus, keep it in mind, you can always be replaced."

Niklaus dragged himself self and exited his masters presence, nursing silently both his bruised elbow and bruised ego
