What are you?

Luna POV:

"Remember, be calm, and let me do the talking." She said

They turned around and walked up to our faces.

"How may we help you, kind sir," Isabella said, in a flirty effeminate voice.

The man with the eye patch ignored her and focused on me

"Where did you get the dagger" He asked in a cold yet calm voice.

I look down and realize I had it exposed. I didn't hide it properly and it was too late too.

"My father gave it to me" I replied

"May I have a look at it?" He demanded.

I glanced at Isabella and she nodded her head. I reluctantly removed the dagger and it in his palm.

"Quite a fine piece," He said, whilst running his fingers down its hilt.

"How much for it?" He asked.

"It's not for sale" I replied immediately.

"You should name a decent price and get a good bargain while he is asking," The man with the tattoo remarked.

"I like the dagger and would love to add it to my collection. Name your price, I will give you a decent pay"

"It's not for sale," I insisted

I stretched my hands out hoping he'd give it back.

"Where are you from?" He asked.

"We are not from around here, we are travelers" Isabella quickly answered.

"I was asking her" He growled.

"We are not from around here, we are travelers" I repeated.

"Which part"

"The North," I said

"The North ay," He mused. "Take off your scarf let me see your face"

I froze. I look towards Isabella, unsure of what to do.

"I'm sure, you don't want to see her face, sir," Isabella remarked.

"And why?"

"She was a survivor of a house fire. Her face was burnt really badly and quite irritating to look at. Surely you don't want to put such a horrible sight in your memory." Isabella replied.

"True" he mused. "I'm still taking the dagger though. Here is a compensation" He said, holding up a pouch.

"I told you it's not for sale, it's important to me," I said, reaching for the dagger instead of the pouch.

"Stop being stubborn," The man with the face tattoo said,

He shrugged me and the scarf slipped off my head.

He pointed at me,

"Look, her face isn't burnt. They lied,"

The man with the patch walked closer to me and raised my chin to his eye level,

"You lied, you shouldn't have any reason to lie, except..." He said while tracing his crooked finger across my face.

"Does this woman look familiar to you?" He asked.

The third man who had remained silent the whole time broke the silence. "It's the woman on the wanted poster we saw in Hidden Leaf Village"

Their leader smiled, showing his overtly white teeth. "It certainly is. Oh boys, this is our lucky day"

My body froze and felt sick to my stomach.

Isabella's punch came flying out of nowhere and caught him on his lips. He released his grip on me and staggered back.

"I was hoping this would go smoothly. You couldn't just stay away," She said with an irritated voice,

The man dragged himself back up "Lady, I will make you regret doing that going to regret that" He bellowed.

The other two men moved to attack Isabella. He halted them with his clenched fist.

"I will kill her myself." He said I will take so much joy in this.

Isabella pushed me out of the way before he closed the distance between us. He raised his hand to stab Isabella with my dagger, but his hand was caught in mid-air. Just like I had witnessed earlier, she twisted his hand, the sound of his cracking bone, echoing through the forest. She made sure he dropped my dagger, before punching him square in the nose. He staggered backward holding his nose, which had become bloodied.

"What are you doing just standing, Kill her" He bellowed viciously.

I watched the blood ooze out of his nostrils like a fountain.

The two men drew their weapons. I felt fear for her.

I cursed angrily at myself, another person would get hurt because of me.

She seemed to have read my thought "Calm down, I will be fine" She said

"Are you sure"

"Yeah, I am" She nodded. "Go and stand near that tree, I can't fight and be worried about you at the same time."

I walked backward to give her space. For the first time, I saw what she had been hiding, as I watched her carefully unwrap the ragged cloth covering it. It was a Katana!

The man with the jagged scar on his cheek charged first, swinging his scimitar with deadly intent. Isabella parried his attack skillfully, the clang of metal against metal ringing through the forest. With a swift counterstrike, she slashed her blade across his chest, leaving a deep, fatal gash. He crumpled to the forest floor, his eyes wide with shock, and a trickle of blood staining the earth beneath him.

They all watched their man fall to the ground, shock, and bewilderment apparent in their eyes.

The stocky man with the serpent tattoo swung his massive Warhammer in a brutal arc. "I'm going to kill you" He screamed.

Isabella dodged gracefully, her movements almost dance-like, and as the hammer struck the ground with a thunderous thud, she seized the opportunity. In one fluid motion, her sword found its mark, piercing his neck. I watched with horror, how he desperately clung to his neck in a bid to stop the blood gushing out as he sunk to the ground.

The man with the crimson silk eye patch quickly brandished his blowgun and aimed it at Isabella in an attempt to shoot a dart at her. She gracefully sidestepped the projectile and closed the distance between them in a heartbeat. She drove her sword slowly through his heart, his eye patch fluttering to the ground as he fell.

I was rooted to where I stand, absolutely shocked beyond words. Absolute silence enveloped us, the silence broken only by the rustling leaves and the distant sound of birds.

"What are you?" I asked.

"I told you I'm in danger" She replied with a dead eye.

Then it occurred to me. A normal average woman can't fight like that.

I stumbled back a bit.
