Chapter 199 A sister's betrayal.
Chapter 199 A sister's betrayal.
Diana POV
Of course, after that burial, Eve had already stormed away, leaving me alone with Silas, who looked angry. As I sat in the sitting room while all our guests were slowly bidding us farewell, I immediately heard my phone vibrate. Picking it up, it was a message from Eve.
"Get rid of Silas now. Check inside the wardrobe inside your room. I already kept a weapon. That will make the job easy for you," she wrote there.
As I threw the phone back on the chair, I felt so frustrated. How am I going to do it? Yes, I did not like what she did to my father, the Lion. But Silas. Silas has to go. Ever since he arrived at the funeral, all he has done was cause one argument or another, making things so frustrating. Claiming that he is going to take revenge. Everything he kept saying one way or the other was pointing at me.
It seems as though he was trying to say I killed Dad because I wanted to take over the property. And I don't even care. I just don't want to be left out while Silas gets to rule everything. But now I won't let that happen. My greediness is going to overcome every other thing. Everything. I won't give him a chance again. Eve is right. I have to get rid of Silas as soon as possible.
And talk about the devil, he arrived. He walked slowly into the house as he arranged his suit and then stared at me with a sly smile on his face.
"Wow. Yeah. You are the sister I thought I had. The only sister I thought would care who conspired to kill Dad. I hope you're happy now. I hope you're happy with the 20% you're going to get from this property. Because I would not. I would not just let you go so easily. I will give you that chance. I know what you did. I know you always had this interest in Dad's property. I know that you always wanted to have his property to yourself. And I would not let that happen. I won't watch you make a fool out of me or make a fool out of any of us. And besides, Eve. Eve should leave this family as quickly as she came in. It's enough with her. The Lion is dead, which means I am next in command. And I can pick whoever I want to be part of our inheritance. And Eve is out. You are getting just 10%," he yelled as it made me angry.
I stood up quickly.
"Shut up, Silas. I've just sat down here and watched you from the barrier down to this place. All you've done is complain. And yet about how everything is all right? Yes. You are the male child, the heir to all that owned. If possible. If you want to take over the Mafia lord, everything, you can't take it over. I don't care. I literally don't care. All I am not going to agree to is the fact that you want to give me just 10% of everything I worked so hard for. As much as you are Dad's child, I am also Dad's child by rights. And I own just as much as you own. If we aren't taking those things, 50/50. Nothing else is working. And how dare you remove Eve from this? Do you think if Dad was alive he would have watched you take Eve out of everything? Don't you ever do something like that. Maybe this is the real reason why Dad never wrote a will. Because he knew whatever he wrote on that will, you would not still agree. And you will continue to claim that you are his first child, and you can make commands. You make no commands here. You make absolutely no commands. The only thing I want you to do now is shut your fucking mouth up. Shut up. Shut up about everything. I don't want to hear anything anymore. I don't want to hear your complaints. I don't freaking care. I don't give a fuck. I don't care," I said to him as he laughed.
"You are already going crazy like Eve, right? I can see your boldness. She's already intimidating you, telling you what to do. So you don't want 10% then you are getting nothing from this. You are getting nothing from this. And you cannot do anything to me about it. Besides, Dad never pointed who exactly was taking the property. But he always said it in everybody's presence that I am his first child and I have more rights to everything than anybody," he said and then sat down on the sofa comfortably.
As I stood there feeling enraged, I raced quickly into the house, going straight for the wardrobe that Eve had told me about. It was a good thing I had already gotten her text, and clearly, I am going to use her weapon against him. I quickly opened it and there it was, staring at me. The gun. I wasted no time as I picked it up, making sure to confirm if there was enough bullet in case I missed the first shot. I wouldn't want to miss the second one.
I raced out, hiding the gun behind me as I stood there. He then looked at me and laughed even louder.
"You crazy bitch. What did you get? Went to get evidence to take away that property from me? I will give you. There is nothing you want to do. I am inheriting it. And I won't give it to you guys, blood testy suckers who call yourselves my siblings. Mostly you, Diana. I know what you wanted because of you. So that as an opportunity, you called me to act like you were innocent. I know you have hands in that Dad's death and I wouldn't just let you escape so easily," he said to me as I was unable to hold it in anymore.
I brought out the gun and pointed it at him. As he spoke, he jumped up in fright, his eyes almost bulging out of his socket as he stared at me.
"Diana," he yelled as I laughed.
"You think I'm crazy, right? I am more crazy than Eve. You didn't think Eve is the only one that you should be scared of? Be scared of me too. I am going to kill you, and I would not feel bad about it," I said to him as I slowly walked towards him, and he tried to step back, but there was no way. The sofa was already blocking him, and after the sofa was the wall, no way to escape. If he even tried to run, I would shoot him without thinking twice or considering that he's my brother at all.
"Say, dear Silas, if you move, I would bust your head into pieces," I said to him as he raised his hand to the air, pleading to me with his eyes.
"Please, Diana, please don't do this. I promise I would share it with you. I would share it equally. Please don't do this," he said to me as I laughed.
"I don't want to share equally anymore. I don't think sharing equally is going to work for us. I think I want everything," I said.
"Diana," he yelled, clearly not wanting to accept as I looked at him and then chuckled before firing the shot. Not thinking twice, I made sure the bullet hit Silas as everything dawned on me. I had finally been the one to kill Silas with my own hands.
