Chapter 102 Double Agent
Richard was dressed in a plain suit, he'd picked it up in the shopping mall not far from the zoo. Avalors had set up a small logistics division in a rented van near the zoo. They were not going to make any mistakes doing this. Regardless of Avalors "romantic connection," he'd decided they didn't take any chances. Being over prepared was never an issue.
He walked into the zoo with a milkshake in his hand and he dipped a straw in it as he conversed with the security at the gate. Unlike the last time they came, today was a bit crowded as it was the weekend and families had planned to visit the zoo.
"Good afternoon my dear sir," he said in a different accent, that would make the security man probably declare he was from far south of Dunham.
"Good afternoon sir, how can I help you?" He replied.
"I am looking for a woman, her name is Margeret Clover," he said.
The security man bulged his eyes and readjusted his posture as Richard had expected. Even though Margeret worked as an assistant here, she was still the daughter of one of the most powerful people in Dunham. "Goodday sir, do you have an appointment?" He asked, his eyes running all over Richard trying to place his standard.
The truth was, the attire Richard donned was just average and it would make him rather inferior to Mageret. "The truth is, no," he said.
"Well then," the guard chuckled. "You cannot see her if you have no previous appointment with her," the guard informed. "However, if you continue down along the west wing, you will be able to access the zoo's most exotic creatures," he said with a smile. Instead of the respect that was oozing from him before, it was now a sense of indignation that replaced it.
Richard chuckled. They'd planned to try out Avalors "romantic connection," first. So he went with what that first. "Would you mind contacting her for me?" He removed the hat covering his head. "It is quite important that I get to see her today." He sniffed, making his face a little apologetic. He was trying to get the guard to relax completely and feel he was in control.
"I don't have her contact. Without an appoitment, I am sorry you cannot see her. I suggest you leabe," he replied, putting his hand on the walkie talkie on his chest.
Richard grinned. This wanst necessarily a part of their plan at all, it was just something Richard enjoyed doing- putting people in their place. "Well, your name is James right?" He asked and the guard snickered. "Well my actual name is Richard. Richard Ashfall," he said and the Guard shifted a bit.
He smiled. "I am here on the orders of the queen's beta and he'd expected you'd actually be a little bit more respectful at your post. But now, you seem to not kmow your job. I will hold that name to a fault. James Ackles." He said.
Thw guard was at first not buying it then it seemed a realixation hit him. He'd probably seen Richard's face on Tv or on a picture next to the Luna, he bulged his eyes in realization. This was actually a big part of the plan. The guard James was their way to get Margaret out. He was actually a part of their secret unit that has beem growing with the sole purpose of investigating amd bringing down the Oracle.
The man had been recruited about a week ago and they'd reported this to Avalors beforehand. "What is your code call?" Richard asked, so he understood what he was saying.
"Truck," he said in a jiffy. He stood rooted and bowed down immediately.
"Raise your head soldier," he said.
Richard was happy about the whole thing in his head, few things made him happy, but one of those few things was a well done job. He liked that when a plan was made, the players commit to it to the tiniest bit. The team they'd sent had focused on making a network of connection and earning people's rrust, so they'd selected anyone Melissa's reforms had helped one way or the other. They would be loyal to the queen and all. Also even if there was a chance of moles, most of this contacts were disposable and worthless as they habe no access to the internal workings. The only real mole can come from the five who started this operation or from Melissa's own companions.
Richard looked at him with a smile. "Get Mageret Clover out here," he said.
The guard nodded. "10-9 this is Ackles, over," he said into the walkie talkie.
"Hofam to Ackles, what is the problem, over?" the reciever replied.
"A request from Margeret Clover by VIP, wirh the name Wayne, over," James answered.
"Request type, over," the reciever once again answered after a minute pause.
"Personal and Private, over." The reciever heard and just went silent for over three minutes. Richard just stood in front of James staring into his eyes awkwardly as the gaurd wanted to enter the ground.
"Request sent, she said she will be with you in a while," the reciever said at last and broke the line.
Richard smiled and then waited. The entire romantic situation withAvalors seemed to have worked out. It only took a few seconds for the woman to step out. She walked directly towards them and Richard backed her, so she didn't detect who it was right away.
Once she reached him, she spoke first. "Let us head our, thank you James," she said.
Richard hadn't expected her to be so forward and make the job easier for him. He nodded, winked at James and they walked out together. Once they reached outside the gate the girl spoke again. "Why are you here, Demon wolf," she said.
'Are you the one within the Orcale," Richard asked immediately.
She looked at Richard. "Yes," she said. "I have been waiting for this day." She exhaled.
Richard nodded. He turned on the comms in his ear. "Target acquired, bringing her in," he said.
"Copy," Avalors replied.
