Chapter 12 Fried chicken garlic
Henary was waiting for Leondra, who had said she would be gone for a while because she had something urgent to do. However, Henary felt that Leondra had been gone too long and he was getting bored.
"Leondra is taking too long," Henary muttered.
Henary decided to go to the kitchen, where she saw one of her servants.
"Mrs. Henary, why are you going to the kitchen? Do you want something? Let me make something for you," he said with a smile.
Henary smiled back, because Leondra's servant was very friendly to her.
"I want to cook, you don't need to help me," replied Henary.
"But, ma'am. Mr. Leondra might get angry if I let you cook. You have servants here, and they are considered useless," she said with a worried look on her face.
"I'll tell Leondra later and make sure he won't get angry. I'm bored because I have nothing to do," said Henary.
"So please don't stop me," she continued with a pleading look.
The servant looked confused, but finally let Henary cook.
"But if you need my help, just say so." The servant looked resigned because she didn't want to see Henary sad.
"Okay. Thank you, you can do other things. I'll cook something delicious for me and Leondra. You don't need to worry, I won't cook vegetables for Leondra," said Henary enthusiastically.
Hearing this, the servant looked happy and relieved.
After that, the servant left Henary who was focused on cooking.
Henary began preparing the ingredients for cooking. She wanted to make garlic fried chicken.
"Why can't I find garlic and shallots here? Did they forget to buy them?" Henary asked herself. She was quite surprised because the kitchen ingredients were incomplete, but the maid didn't say anything.
"Did the maid forget?" Henary muttered.
Henary decided to go see the waiter. They lived in the house next door, which Leondra had designated as their residence.
"My goodness, ma'am. Why are you here? Has something happened to you, or do you need our help?" asked the waiter with a worried look on his face.
"Can you take me to the market? I don't know where the market is in this area," said Henary.
"Mr. Leondra won't allow you to go, it's too dangerous. We don't want any trouble," refused the waiter.
"Besides, there is no market in the Vampire clan, ma'am," he continued.
Of course they were afraid of Leondra, and if they let Henary go or something happened to her, they would get into trouble.
"Don't worry, I won't tell Leondra. We'll be back before Leondra returns, she won't be angry. Come on, I want to cook," Henary continued to persuade them.
The three servants looked at each other, unsure of what to do. They also didn't want to see Henary sad.
"If you don't want to accompany me, I'll be angry with all three of you," Henary threatened.
"Don't be like that, ma'am," The three of them were naturally panicked by Henary's threat.
"All right. We'll take you to the market, but you have to promise not to be too long. We don't want to get in trouble with Mr. Leondra," said the servant.
Henary felt happy, and he responded by nodding his head enthusiastically.
The four of them then went to the market, of course using their respective powers. If they didn't use their powers, it would take them quite a long time.
Henary decided to go to the human territory, because according to Henary, it was the most complete and safest place.
"You three wait here, let me do the shopping. I'm used to shopping in human territory," whispered Henary softly.
"Don't worry, I won't be long," he continued, then left the three Servants.
Seeing Henary leave made them anxious again.
"Should we just wait here?" asked one of them.
"It's better to just obey. The King will definitely be gone for quite a while," they both agreed and decided to wait for Henary.
Not long after, Henary returned. They immediately went home, and luckily Leondra hadn't returned yet.
After that, Leondra's three servants returned to their residence, leaving Henary to enjoy cooking.
"I've got all the ingredients, now it's time to cook," said Henary enthusiastically, then began cooking the dish he wanted.
"I hope Leondra likes my fried chicken," said Henary with a smile.
Two hours later, Henary's cooking was done. Henary looked very enthusiastic as she smelled her food.
"The smell alone is tempting, it must taste good. It's been a long time since I've eaten garlic fried chicken. I used to make it often when my mother was still alive," Henary said, remembering her memories with her mother.
Henary then walked to the dining room and began to enjoy her meal. She saved some for Leondra later.
"It's so delicious, I guarantee Leondra will love it." Henary smiled slightly, unable to wait for Leondra to come home.
Not long after, Leondra came home. She stopped at the door because she sensed something bad inside her house.
"Did something happen to Henary?" Leondra muttered.
Leondra rushed inside, worried that something had happened to Henary.
"Leondra, you're home. I cooked something for you." Henary enthusiastically brought the garlic fried chicken to Leondra.
Leondra clutched her chest, which felt painful.
"I made fried garlic chicken for you. Try it, it tastes good," said Henary.
Leondra almost lost control. She clutched her chest even tighter and felt her body getting hotter.
"Damn. How did Henary get garlic in the Vampire territory?" Leondra glared inwardly.
"This is dangerous. Especially since I forgot to wear my protective necklace," she continued, staring sharply at Henary.
Henary hadn't noticed Leondra's attitude, which seemed to be angry, even when Leondra's eyes turned dark red, Henary still didn't notice.
"Leondra, don't you want to try it? It's delicious. Let me feed you?" Henary took a piece of fried chicken and tried to feed it to Leondra.
Leondra roughly pushed it away, then slammed the plate down, startling Henary.
"What's wrong, Leondra?" Henary asked.
Leondra didn't answer; she hurriedly left Henary because she couldn't bear the pain anymore.
"What happened to Leondra? Why does she seem angry with me? Did I do something wrong? And she really doesn't like me cooking for her," Henary muttered, still holding back her tears.
Henary wanted to chase after Leondra, but she lost track of her. Her powers couldn't detect Leondra's whereabouts either, so now she could only wait helplessly for Leondra to return.
