Sitara.
Once everything had finally settled, Daniel asked me if I could accompany him to the packs hospital to question the young she wolf.
I agreed and took Mariah and Kyle with me.
"Luna,I do t think you should."
"My Beta and Gamma go everywhere I go."
Daniel smiled at me, and then at Mariah, both her and Kyle walked beside me with their head held high, and I couldn't be more proud.
The doctor informed us that the young wolf didn't sustain much injures but the little cuts and brushes would hurt when she woke up.
He also told us that they found wolf's ban in her system, and that would explain why she wasn't running straight
"Hey there, how do you feel?"
I ask as I tale a seat next to her on the bed.
"I feel ok, I'm sorry Luna, I didn't know what they had planned to do. They just told me I should wader here like I was lost and spy on the pack.
Every other day, I had to run away early in the morning before the nannies came and report to them what I saw. "
"Why dis you do it."
"Before I came here and they found me,I lived with my mother, we were poor so we lived ok the streets, we had no money or nothing to eat so when the man came to me and asked me to pose as an orphan for him and he would pay me I didn't hesitate. He paid Ms up front, and mom and I tried running away before he would come back and want me to keep my end of the bargain.
But he caught us and killed mom, then injected me with wolf'sbane and I woke up here. I'm so sorry, Luna. I didn't know anyone would get hurt."
"It's ok.... what is your name?".."My name is Hannah."
"It's ok, Hannah, but I would have to ask you to give me the name of the man that put you up to this."
"I don't know his name. All I know is what he looked like. He is tall, with short hair and brown skin in complexion, and has black eyes. Ooh, and he also smells like a wet dog. like when your fur gets wet."
"Hannah, where did you meet this man? Can you remember where you met him?"
"Near the airport, he and another Aloha came to me, I know they were Alphas because I was scared the kind of power that radiated off of them was strong."
"Where would you meet him to give him your updates on our packs movement ?"
"I never met the guy that hired me, I met his brother at some old broken down home. It's like a pack but haunted."
"Did you get there on foot? Can you take us there."
"No, I would meet him by the cliff a shirt distance away from our pack. Someone would blind fold me and then take me to him."
"Thank you Hannah you may rest now."
"Luna, I'm so sorry for what I have done. I just didn't want to dominate like my mother."
"It's ok, Hannah, I understand. But I need you to know that when the Alphas return, they will be informed I'd what happened, and they will have to make a choice as to if you stay otmr go "
"Where would I gi, I have no one. Please, Luna, please forgive me. "
"I will speak with the Alphas and hopeful we can get you placed in a nice human home. Now get some rest, Hannah. good night .
The nurses came in to check her vitals, and we exited the room. It's so sad the lengths people would go to for their own gain.
It's also really sad that they drag innocent little children into the mix only for them to either end up dead or homeless again.
"It's been this way for a very long time Luna, don't stress about it. Men would do anything for their own gain, including using little children as says and messengers
The sad part is that in the end, they either end up dead or back on the streets fending for themselves, and then they grow up holding grudges against us."
"Daniel, there is something else I'm trying to figure out. How did she end up here ?"
"One of our warriors picked her up from the side of the road. He had found her dirty and unconscious, so he bought her here, and your parents took her in."
"Hmmmmm.."
"What are you thinking, Sitara?"
"That maybe we need to do a more in-depth background check on the people we take in. You know if they are homeless and they have a specific location they came from. We ask around and see if anyone had ever seen them before."
"That sounds like a great idea, I will talk to the Alphas when they arrive and run the idea by them."
"Hey Sitara, your parents are ready to go. Are you finished here?"
Kyle asked, and I nodded. Yes, I smiled at Daniel and then left with my friends.
"Wait."
We hear Daniel shout, and we pause. Mariah spins around with he hands behind her back and her eyes down.
"Come over here, you know it's you I'm calling."
She walks towards him slowly, so he meets her halfway.
"You snuck out, didn't you?"
"Yes, but only because my friends needed me. I'm sorry. I know I promised you I wouldn't sneak out again."
"How did you?"
"I jumped out the window so the warrior wouldn't swe me."
"Next time, use the front door ok, don't go brusing your knees. Now go ahead. Luna is waiting for you."
"AWWWWWWWWWWWWW."
Kyle and I tease as she comes walking over to us.
"Shut up."
She says before jumping on Kyle's back, putting him in a head lock. Mom and dad were sitting in the car waiting for us, mom looking a little disappointed in herself and dad the silent lamb as always.
We sit in the car, and I look out the window, thinking of a way to cheer her up while Kyle and Mariah continue fighting.
"Hey mom, can you make us some ramen? I'm really hungry."
"ohjh yeah, Mrs. Smith, can you please, your Ramen always tastes so good."
Kyle says.
"It's late, you guys, it's like three in the morning, aren't you tired?"
Mom asked.
"No, just really hungry."
"OK, ok, Ramen coming up."
just as we were about to enter the garage, it hit me.
"Wait, didn't Cleveland come with us?"
I asked, we all spun around to find him standing behind us with his arms folded.
"Aunty, you guys left me."
We all burst out laughing, and he takes off for the door, locking it from the inside.
"You're laughing at me. Let's see how you like it."
"We are sorry, Clev, now come on, open the door."
Mom says.
When he opened the door, we all ran and jumped on him, falling to the floor. Mom and dad crossed over us, looking at us and shaking their heads.
"Just like old times."
