Chapter20
Chapter20
Tristan.
Our flight home was delayed thanks to the weather, and that means we are stuck in Paris for a couple more hours. My parents left us a while ago to grab something to eat, and Travis, well , I'd st a cafe using their wifi to finish some work.
My mind runs to Sitara. It'd been a little while since I spoke to her, and it's too late now to text her because she must be asleep.
So, to clear my mind, I begin scrolling through my phone, looking at videos and anything that would help pass the time.
Then I suddenly got an idea, I had never thought of searching her up before on Facebook, and so I did.
Her profile is filled with everything, books, and everything outdoors. It seemed that she went hiking a lot and spent plenty of time with her friends.
As I continued scrolling, I smiled at the pictures she posted with herself and the smith's, the three of them looked so happy in that photo and so close.
"I see you found her Facebook profile,"
Travis said from behind, I locked NY phone and placed it in my pocket. He couldn't help himself, so he flat out laughed in my face.
"Did you text her?"
"No, I want to, but something keeps fighting me."
"You think it has something to do with you not letting go of the past."
"I think it's something eles,"
"No, I think it is the fact that you don't want to ket go of the past."
"Is there something I can help you with Dr. phill?"
"Yeah, what are we going to do if mom doesn't step down and give Sitata the title?"
"I haven't thought about that just yet mainly because I myself don't have a clue."
"This is truly irritating to deal with on top of everything we already have going on."
"I know."
"Sometimes I wish I wasn't an Alpha and I was just a regular pack member, I would have minimum responsibility and have the freedom to go and do what I want and not study to that I javelin people counting in me to keep them alive."
"So basically you wish you were a human without kids."
"Yes, basically."
He laughed.
"I feel the same way."
He said.
"So, do you think she would make a good Luna?"
"I think she could try her best . Let's nit out any pressure on her to do more than that."
"Agreed."
" So I wasn't going to tell you, but I snuck back to the apple store and bought her the upgraded iPhone."
Travis said, and I couldn't believe it.
"I wasn't going to tell you anything, but the tennis bracelet I bought is for her and not grandma."
He looks at me wide-eyed.
"Qhat you both her a phone that cost more than my tennis bracelt."
"Really."
"Well, it's equal amount."
I shake my head at him and pat my pocket.
"I'm going to give it to her as an apology gift for my behavior over the past couple of weeks since we met."
"How's about? I'm truly sorry for the way I behaved instead of an apology gift. And then tell her you got her a gift."
"My plan sounds better."
I reply and he she's his head again.
"So, are you coming to Sunday d
lunch with her parents ?"
"Yeah, after patrol, I'll come. I'm going to try not fighting my feelings and going with the flow you know."
"I'm glad."
"All passengers for flight...."
The scent of wet dog draws me attention, and I completely phased out what the attendant was saying over the speakers. For some strange reason, I think I picked up the scent of someone from the concil.
I could be completely wrong as the concil has their own private airplane, so there is no way they would be taking public transportation.
"Tristan, I'm going to find mom and dad they flight is back on. Grab our bags and get in line."
Travis said as he walked towards the food court.
As I got in line, the scent got stronger and strong, leading to someone in front of the recoponset desk. I pushed my way through to see who was the person in the brown Coat and black hat.
"Tristan, we are over here to the back of the line."
My mother called out to me, and I lost him as I turned back from signaling her that I was coming to give me a minute.
"What's up? Where were you going?"
"I could have sworn I picked up Hermines scent."
"There is no way, not here he has his own private transport he doesn't need to travel here.
"You're right, you're right. Let's get back in line."
Before boarding our flight, I decided to give Daniel a call just to check up on things as I git that feeling that something was wrong.
And when he oicks up the phone and I could heR it in his tone the first thing I told him was to make sure Sotara is safe because a next in lime Luna is worth more than you think.
HERMINE.
"Did they spot us Anderson ?"
I ask my right hand man siting next to me.
"No, sir, they didn't, I switched your coat with another. You have no need to worry."
"Thank goodness, I can't afford to be spotted leaving Paris exaoexially after they came and complained on my brother."
"Soeaking if which sir we do this need this type of attention, your brother needs to fall back and just do his business underlow."
"My baby brother doesn't take rejection easily Anderson, nor dies he like pompous little brats."
"I understand, sir, but we shouldn't lose all that we have built because of a simple rejection."
"Agreed, Anderson, that is why I'm going to see him, to maybe talk so e sense into him."
"I understand sir."
"Now I can only hope my brother would understand."
