Chapter 10
SITARA.
Getting ready for this date was noting but stressful, not only do I want to dress to impress there are two of them and they are completely different people with the same face.
Its hard when your not much of a dresser. Nor much of a looker. I more preference the word blank. Yes I'm a blank canvas that hates paint.
Realsing the time was ticking away and Dad had somewhere to be after dropping me off I grabbed one of my comfortable off shoulder dresses and a pair of ballerina flats. I put my hair in a quick ponytail and headed out the door.
The car ride with dad is uncomfortable, nit only is it silent as night he is tense and twitching. He was it going to ask a question and I know it.
My dad isn't an outspoken person but he will speak when needed be. So to ease his mind I answered his question.
“ I was thinking about inviting the Alphas over for lunch, I'm just not sure how to ask them yet. It's hard for me, you know, I have never been in this type of situation before.”
“I know, honey, just take your time. We aren't rushing you we just want you to be happy and safe. Besides I already set a meeting with them both to have a little chat.
“Ok.”
I couldn't say anything than moon godess take me now. My Dad and my mates having a conversation about me.
Dad dropped me at the front of the resturant where Travis was waiting for me. He gave me a complement and I returned it. As we were walking towards our seat our fingers brushed against eachothers and I felt a hear.
I wanted to take hold of his hand but didn't know if it wouldbe ok,so I didnt.
After taking our seats we ordered, then Tristan began talking. The mention of three-some totally threw me off, but the idea for us to have days with each other was a great touch.
I told myself that after he had finished speaking I would ask about the dinner with my parents, but that didn't go as planned.
After Tristan slammed his fork against the table frightening both me and Travis the unbelievable happened.
Luna karla came in the restaurant arguing behind Travis and Tristan. Tristan was fuming while Travis sewm unbothered by her words.
Then she turned her attention to me, asking if I would reject her sons embarrassing me infront of everyone at the resturant.
I couldn't sit there and take any more embarrassment so I got up and left.
Before Travis or Tristan could try stopping me i stoppeda cab and got in.
It is humiliating enough to be blind in one eye, to be adopted, to have no wolf in a pack filled with them, and now I was just embarrassed by the most well-known Luna in the country.
A part of me wanted to cry my eyes out, and a part of me didn't. So before the waterworks begin its better just walk and take some fresh cold air.
“You know if you want to cry, you should.”
“Is someone there, hello.”
“It's me, it's Lilly, your wolf.”
“Lilly.”
“ Hello Sitara, how are you? I've longed to meet you, but the time was never right.”
“I'm fine, well I think I am. It's nice to finally meet you too.”
“ I get it, I know how you fell, being the smallest one out of the bunch. But what I have learned is that the bigger you are the easier it is for you to fall.”
“Where are we off to, I'm new to the surroundings. And shouldn't you tell Razor and Bran where you're going its late you know. ?”
“I just want to be alone, besides Mariah and Kyle know where to find me if ever needed.”
“The lady back there that's there mother, our mother in law?”
“Yep, welcome to the family.”
“She seems nice.”
Lilly chuckles.
“She is a sweet lady from what I could remember, but tonight I saw something different i saw a person i have never seen before.”
“I understand. So are we going somewhere special.”
“Im not sure,maybe home or to the book shop on Charles Street.”
“ You do love books, let's go to the book store, then maybe reading something will help you clear your head.”
“Let's do it.”
We got to the book store in about five minutes, the book store usually stays open late at night. Mainly because it's where students would go to study for there exams or when they have trouble at home and just want to get out the house.
Sarah would take them in for the night and inform there parents where they are, Sarah is a pretty nice person.
“Sitara your back, guess what we finally got the last edition of that book you were asking for and let me tell you it is everything.”
“Really, well i came at the right time then.”
“Have a seat on the couch over there I'll bring you the hot chocolate and your favorite blanket.”
“Sarah sounds awesome, is she human or like us ?”
“Ohh Sarah, she is a human, but was mated to a wolf. He died a couple years ago after there pack came under attack by an Alpha who was looking for a little girl as his wife.. or something like that.”
“Here's your tea and the book.”
“Thank you.”
“So what about books do you love so much.”
Lily asked as I flip to the first page.
“I think it's because It transports you to another world, a world you would rather be in.”
“So it's like a get away, but only in your head.”
“Yes.”..
Lily went silent leaving me to reading, as I flipped every page I became more and more consumed. Every page had a cliff hanger, every page had a twist and every page was written perfectly.
My phone began vibrating and I silenced it, I don't want to speak to anyone not now. I just want to be alone.
It wasn't long after reaching through the first couple pages my eyes began to close so I just made myself cozy and continued reading.
The feeling of someone's presence woke my, between sleepy eyes and an awoken body i saw Tristan standing over me.
“You keep doing stupid things Sitara, why werent you picking up the phone.”
“I.. was reading and fell asleep.”
“Why did you leave the resturant without saying where your going?”
“Because I was embarrassed, your mother is one of the most well known own Lunas in the country. And he daughter in law is blind in one eye maybe she is right, maybe you should reject me.”
He gets down to my level grabs me in his arms with the blanket and all and carries me to the car.
“I am nit my mother, I'm not a little boy who doesn't know what to do, im.grown and if I want to reject you I will. No one is going to make me do something I don't want to do.
Do you understand?”
“Yeah…”
“That includes you as well, so next time don't do something g as stupid as running away and not picking up your phone because Travis would be the only one coming to get you.”
“Ok…. Grump.”
I whisper.
He places me in the back seat of the car and I fall back asleep, even though I Qasim very much asleep my wolf was very much awake.
I could sense things, smell things and hear things I couldn't before. No wonder the others would always seem to know.
When the car had finally come to a stop I woke up, I wasn't at home, nor was I at the pack I'm somewhere eles. Somewhere different.
“I see your not asleep anymore, that means you can walk.”
Tristan said.
“Amm.. yeah.”
I got out and stood by the door as they both walked towards the house door entrance. What are you doing standing there let's go.
As we opened the door I saw a sign that said. ‘ welcome to shady oaks elderly home.’
“Where are we ?”
“We came to see some people, some people that would like to meet you.”
They open the door to a very exquisite sweet I would call it. The room is painted in white and filled with paintings and family pictures.
“Grandma, grandpa were here.”
I freaked we drove at this hour of the night to see there grandparents, what if they were asleep.
“Ohh were in the kitchen come on down.”
We made our way down stairs and I couldn't help but hold my stomach back, after all the food smelt delicious.
“Ohhh my beautiful boys hiw have you been?”
“Were great grandma.”
“Ohh and this must be the unfortunate young lady that got trapped with you both.”
“Hi, I'm sitara.”
“I'm grandma and that is grand pa.”
“It's nice to meet you dear, come sit, sit I whipped up something quickly for you guys to eat.”
“Thanks grandma.”
Tristan says before kissing her on the forehead. Travis gets me a plate and places it near a chair where he then put me to sit.
“So honey tell me about yourself.”
“Oohh, well I'm a nurse at the hospitals pack, I like reading and hiking and food.”
I take a bit of her baked chicken and a mouthful of her macaroni salad. Everything taste sp good.
“Nurse you say, are you stationed anywhere?”
“Yes at the packs hospital.”
“Great, they could use a pretty face like you to help calm does people down.”
She gave me a complement, and I couldn't help but feel better.
“Listen dear, my boys told me what happened at the resturant and I know it must have been embarrassing for you. But don't let the words of my daughter get to you, see she thinks differently as she is so high in society. For her everything is about looks and ranks.
What you need to worry about or think about is you, what you want for yourself and how are you going to make it out alive with the two of them.”
She squeezed my hand for reassurance and I smile back.
“Now, who wants to play a game ?”
She gets up from her chair and scrambles through a cabinet before pulling out a came of ludo.
“I call dibs for blue, I hear Tristan shout.:
“Let our guest chose first will you, no manners boy, no manners boy.”
“Sitara go ahead, chose any but blue.”
Tristan said and everyone burst out laughing
“I'll take red.”
“Hey that's my color.” Their grandpa said.
“Im.just kidding, you could have red I'll tale blue and Travis green, now let's play.”
I sat back as they all argued to set up the game board , then I remembered I didn't call my parents.
“Excuse me I'm going to call my patents.”
“No need, we called already they said to tell you enjoy your weekend.”
Tristan said unbothered.
“Ohhh… I'll still just call them. I'll be back.”
I take put my phone and dial up my mother's number, she is the only person I could talk to about my problems.
“Hello Sitara I see your awake, are you there. Are you safe.”
“Yes mom I'm safe.”
“Ok, what happened l, why did you leave?”
“I just felt clustered that's all .”
“Sitara!”
“Luna karla came and made a scene, she told them both to reject me, that I don't look the part of a luna.”
I started crying, I couldn't hold it back anymore. Mom stayed silent and just listened to my tears fall.
“Sitara, you are the most beautiful person I have ever met, you are kind, sweet and wonderful. You will make the perfect Luna and the perfect mate.”
“Thanks mom.”
“Now, I hope I packed everything you need for the weekend because you know how yiu are about clothes. I also packed so etching extra for when you go swimming.”
“Swimming, mom I hope you packed a life jacket because I can't swim.”
She laughed and I couldn't help but burst out laughing.
“Gone now, I'm going to finish watching some televison with your dad. Call us if anything ok. I lobe you.”
“Love you to mom.”
