Chapter 24 I Love The Things You Do To Me

Chapter 24 I Love The Things You Do To Me
Lina's POV

“You weren't gonna tell me, were you?” Noel suddenly asked, his voice surprisingly calm, but cold.

“I wasn’t hiding it,” I cried. “I was grieving. I was broken too.”

Noel lifted his eyes up at me—and I could see all his feelings mixed with hurt, betrayal, love, regrets, all in a storm that made his voice shake uncontrollably. Despite how much he wanted to put himself under control, his body betrayed him and he couldn't help but tremble slightly in my arms.

“You should’ve told me,” he whispered again, softer this time, more wounded than angry. “I had a right to mourn my child. I had a right to know what I lost.”

Slowly, he reached for my hand, gripping it tightly as if he were drowning and I was the last thing keeping him alive.

“I needed you,” he whispered. “I swear, I did!” He cried.

I reached for his hand without hesitating. And the moment our fingers brushed, slowly, uncertainly, and the closeness of our skin felt like memories washing back to life.

He lifted his head up at me, with a trembling voice, he said “I'm sorry, Lina. I'm sorry for everything.” He leaned closer as his hands brushed my cheek, “I'm sorry for leaving you in the dark. I'm sorry you'd have to carry all of this yourself. I swear, I didn't know…I didn't know you were carrying a part of me in you.”

It's been over a decade since Noel and I have known each other, and I can boastfully testify that this was the first time in ten years I saw Noel look small.
Broken.
Unsure.

“It's not all your fault, Noel.” I whispered softly.

Without thinking, I reached out slowly. My hand brushed his cheek, uncertain at first… then slowly cupping his jaw to level up with mine. His breath hitched, but he didn't pull back. He leaned into my palm like he wasn’t sure he had the right to.

I also wasn't sure if this was the right time to do this, but I couldn't help it. I'm not in control of this anymore—I just want the moment to take its place.

“Come here,” I whispered.

He didn't hesitate, he instantly shifted closer to me, now sitting very close to me on the bed.

Then his forehead touched mine in a hesitant yet deliberate manner like he was asking for permission.

Slowly, his lips brushed mine. But he suddenly paused midway, looked into my eyes and asked, “Can I?”

I didn't say a word, I simply nodded my head softly and then without waiting for another sign, he slowly pressed his lips on mine.

It was soft, unmoving, and quite boring at first.

Then slowly—painfully slowly, he wrapped his arms around my small waist and gently pulled me closer to himself.

Our breath tangled as his hands lifted to my jaw, then his finger carefully lifted my chin up, positioning my lips in a more comfortable way for it to deepen without hurting me.

The kiss slowly deepened—but not rushed. Not wild. It was careful and deliberate. It was like a release of everything we never said.

My fingers slipped behind his neck, threading through his hair and the laptop slid off the bed unnoticed. I knew, I saw it, but I couldn't stop us from kissing. It was fun and it needs not to be interrupted.

Noel tugged slightly at my jacket, sliding it off my shoulders until it dropped onto the floor. I didn't stop him, but I wasn't sure about what was about to happen.

I pulled away sharply, my breath hitching as I spoke, “Maybe…we shouldn't do this…” I stammered, my face still close to his lips.

He let out a cracked smile, “It's okay. We're not doing anything.” He said smoothly, then he leaned forward and pressed his lips gently on mine again.

I didn't resist. I ran my fingers along the back of his neck, pulling him closer to myself as I helped loosened his shirt buttons one by one.

Slowly, I pulled his shirt off his shoulder and his bare chest pressed against mine, warm, desperate, and relieved.

He let his fingers roam down to my back as he carefully helped me to unhook my bra.

I've missed this feeling. I swear, I've always loved when Noel and I were together. Even if I feel like this shouldn't be happening, I can't bring myself to stop it because it feels good and I can't just wait for his tongue to start working on me.

Noel's breath trembled against my lips, but it didn't last. He slowly let his lips move to my ear and then he whispered into it, “Lina,” he said, voice raw and steamy, “I'm never leaving you—never!” He mumbled.

And for the first time in years…I wanted Noel more than I ever did.

He brought his lips back to my face, but he only sniffed my face softly. Then he bit my chin and just when I thought we were supposed to stop at this point, I suddenly felt his lips wrapped around my nipples.

I let out a soft moan, “Argh…Noel…I love you.” I have no idea when I said that. But I said it anyway, and I couldn't believe myself.

Slowly, Noel lifted me from the edge of the bed, then he pulled me closer into the bed, towards the headboard.

I stared at him closely, observing his every single move, but his eyes only remained on my chest—on my nipples.

I didn't give him a chance, I began to use my fingers to play with my hardened nipples, twirling them in-between my sweaty palms.

“Stop that!” He laughed softly while struggling with his belt.

He pulled off his belt at once and it fell to the ground with a metallic thud.

I watched him as he zipped his pants down, revealing his massive length to me.

Noel slowly came over me, crawling over my body until he got my thighs trapped in between his legs.
