A trip to the club

A trip to the club
The rays of sunlight flashing through the window had Morgan Daniels stirring on the bed. It was too bright, causing her to gently open her eyes in hopes to adjust to the bright light. Once her eyes opened, she took in her surroundings. A large window frame, with its curtains, shifted to her right, a large wall before her that held two separate doors, one she assumed was the bathroom and the other was a walk-in closet.

The portrait of a naked woman on the wall caught her attention. Morgan sat up on the bed with a frown on her face, using the silky sheets to cover her naked body.

She studied the picture. The woman in the painting looked sad, her hands up in the air as her body easily turned into butterflies flying away.

The older woman has never been a fan of painting, but this one had managed to catch had attention, so she made a mental note to ask Maia about it. Maia.

At the thought of her name, last night's events suddenly appeared right before Morgan Daniels's eyes, making her fall back in bed, giggly like a small kid who had just received a gift from Santa.

Last night was amazing. In the six years of not having her, feeling her warm naked body, Morgan thought things wouldn't be the same.

But she was wrong. Maia's body reacted the same to her every touch. Her breathing became raspy whenever Morgan touched her sensitive spot. How her body contorts as orgasm sweeps through her entire being and has her body shaking and her legs quivering. And lastly, how she buried herself in between Morgan's body, almost suffocating herself. This night, after taking the red-haired to her highest limit of pleasure, she wrapped her petit figure against Morgan's, her head laying on her chest and her hand in her boobs, playing with it whilst simultaneously sucking on her bottom lip.

A smile appeared on Morgan's face. Best night of her life!

The aroma of bacon filled Morgan Daniels's nostrils, urging her to get out of bed. Stretching her body one last time, she got out of bed, the silky sheets dropping to the ground. She walked towards one of the doors she thought to be her closet to fish out something to wear. To her dismay, she had walked into Maia's bathroom, so she walked to the other door with an awkward smile on her face.

Morgan Daniels searched amongst Maia's perfectly arranged dresser for anything she could wear. Given Mania's petite figure, she would need something that she deemed big on Maia to wear.

Once she was satisfied with the cream-white oversized white t-shirt she had on, she walked out of the room. Last night, since they were caught up in each other's kisses and warmth, Morgan Daniels didn't have the time to take in Maia's apartment.

But now she could. And she was utterly in love with it.

It was 'so her'. Flowers and more paintings. Sophisticated yet simple. Maia Shelton had chosen the colours white, grey, black and beige as the colours for her entire house.

A hum coming from the left took Morgsn off her little mental inspection as she found herself walking in that direction. Maia was behind the counter, whisking what the older woman presumed to be eggs, wearing a matching black Nike sports bra and pants, giving Morgan a clearer view of her tattoo, and making her blush.

Maia's hair was held in a ponytail, exposing her long slender neck and teasing her in the process as she had a sudden tingly sensation in her lower stomach. Morgan Daniels wanted to trail her tongue up her neck and let the sound of her moans create a melodious sound. She bite her bottom lips to refrain from moaning.

"Are you done staring?" Maia Shelton's voice filled Morgan's ear, making her smile as she began to make her way to the kitchen counter.

This hadn't changed. Well, there wasn't any swaying of hips, but it still felt familiar.

"Actually, no" she replied with a smirk as her gaze travelled from Maia's full pouty lips, down to her chest, lingering for a while on her breast before finally, ending on her stomach.

When Morgan's gaze met Maia's, her cheeks had turned a crimson shade of pink, making the older woman smirk even harder.

Maia Shelton placed a plate of bacon before Morgan and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Then, she poured the contents of the bowl she was whisking into a pan.

Once that was cooked, she placed a plate of fried eggs and another plate containing toasted bread before Morgan

"Thank you," Morgan spoke, but later on frowned when she realised Maia hadn't fixed anything for her.

"Are we sharing?" she titled her head.

"What?" she questions

"The food. Are we sharing? Because I don't mind" she stated, picking up a slice of toasted bread and giving the red-haired a side glance.

"Oh, no. I'm not feeling too hungry" she murmured and Morgan frowned even harder.

This is new. Maia Shelton was usually very hungry the following morning after sex.

"Why? You're usually hungry the following morning"

Maia's cheeks flushed a bright shade of crimson red at the realisation of what the older woman meant.

"I know, I guess eating before twelve has become alien to me- you know what? Yes, let's share" the red-haired cut her rambling half and pulled the plate of eggs before her, making Morgan smile.

"Oh, lest I forget. Your phone has been ringing nonstop" Maia says in between bites. Oh fuck.

"Shit!" Morgan Daniels exclaimed, rushing to the sofa in search of her clutch purse. She fished out her phone and noticed she had four missed calls from Eleanor and one unread message.

It read: " Girl, where u at? Lea hasn't stopped whining" she quickly closed the chat and hit the call button.

"Everything okay?" Maia called out. Morgan turned with the phone on her ear and gave her a thumbs up.

"Eleanor, is she okay" Morgan questioned once she had picked up the call, sudden panic washing through her entire body.

"Relax. She was a little loud once she woke up and couldn't find you, but it's all okay" Eleanor's reply made the older woman visible relax

"Thank you so much. I'll be over in thirty minutes"

"No, take your time. I have everything under control here" she convinced.

But Morgan Daniels wanted to leave. She wanted to see her daughter. She was starting to feel like a horrible mother. Since they came to Middenhall, she's yet to spend an entire day with her daughter, taking her outing and site seeing, visiting all the spots she used to love.

Yes, she truly felt horrible.

"I'll be over in thirty" Morgan replied plainly before hanging up the call.

"Is everything okay?" Maia asks with concern in her voice.

"Yeah, it's just Lea. She gets a little angsty when wakes up and can't see me"

"Oh," Maia says plainly

"Reasons why I have to go. I hope you can understand"

"Yeah, sure," Maia spoke, disappointment filling her voice, making Morgan's heartache.

She too wanted to stay, but she couldn't. She has been neglecting her daughter since they got here and it couldn't go on like this.

Besides, Eleanor has been the one watching after her while she went out to have fun and she too needed to have fun. But the look the red-haired gave her tore her to pieces. Instead of replying, she rushed into her room to take a shower and leave.

When she emerged from Maia's room, dressed in yesterday's clothing, Maia was still sitting in the same position as earlier.

"I'm leaving" Morgan called her attention as she picked up her clutch.

"Okay,"

Morgan sighed dejectedly as she placed her clutch on the counter.

"I'm sorry Love, I don't want to leave either but I have to. Please don't give me that look" when Maia didn't reply or react as Morgan spoke, she raised her chin to meet her gaze.

"Hey baby" she called out, placing a quick peck on her lips, "Don't be upset. Please"

Maia nodded and once again, the older woman sighed, but this time in relief.

"Morgan" Morgan heard Maia's soft voice call out once she was by the door.

"Yes, baby"

Maia Shelton blushed at the use of the pet name. "Can you leave on Sunday? I want to spend the day of Saturday with you and Lea" she questions in a pleading tone.

Morgan's heart threatened to burst out in excitement. Hearing the red-haired say those words was something she never thought she needed to hear until now. Suddenly, Saturday couldn't come soon enough.

"Of course" was all she spike before closing the door behind her.

Morgan Daniels needed that bonding time with her daughter. On her way back to the hotel, she stopped by a food pub that used to be her favourite spot. She picked up Lea's favourite pizza and drink. When she made it to the suit, she thanked Eleanor and pleaded with her to go out and have fun.

Of course, she declined. She didn't have any friends besides Morgan, especially here in Middenhall. Laiba, Jonah, Manila and of course Jonaha were the only friends she had. Laiba and Jonah were no more, and thanks to Morgan who fucked things up, she had unknowingly made Eleanor choose between her and the woman she loved.

So, they spent the entire day at the hotel's swimming pool, laughing and playing. This day out was exactly what she needed.

Unfortunately, every good time must come.

She had to leave Lea once again to make a trip to the club. She had been postponing going there and she needed things in order before leaving for Grassview.

More so, Terry didn't send the report as she said. Morgan Daniels did not want to jump to any conclusions until she went down there and see things for herself. She was yet to tell Terry she was in Middenhall, however, she figured Resha just have caught her up with that.

She turned off her ignition once the car was well parked in her usual spot. She took out the car keys and made her way to the entrance. Mad, the club bouncer spotted the older woman as she walked toward him. He was tall and built like a hunk, with big muscles. He was dressed entirely in black, including his glasses and earpiece.

Morgan Daniels hired Mad immediately after that incident with Maia six years ago. Same time with Ace who ended up being her biggest mistake.

She needed her workers safe. She also had to ensure that her customers feel safe and what better way to do that than by hiring a club bouncer?

There was only so much Mad could do. He'll check everyone coming inside, but wouldn't guarantee sane behaviour from them once they have had so much to drink.

Of course, Jonah had also suggested that they hire one to monitor things inside the club who will be in one corner, observing movements throughout the night.

"Hey, boss" Mad spoke once Morgan was before him.

"Hey, Mad. How are you?"

"I'm alright. Surprise to see you here" he says as he stepped aside, giving the older woman access to the club.

"Yeah, just figured I'll come down here and see how things are moving" I replied and he nods.

"That's brilliant. Well, welcome"

"Thank you" she replied before walking in.

She pushed the double doors open, hoping to be met with loud music blasting from the speakers, smoke, and the smell of cigarettes and sweat. But instead, all she was met with was an empty club.

Well, not empty in the sense that there was no one inside. But, empty in the literal sense. Not what was expected of a club. And her club at that.

She could barely spot five to eight persons in the club. No music, nothing. The large screen that Laiba had mounted for the New year's eve party was gone. The stage for the live music was gone as well. This place was as dead as a graveyard.

Fueled with anger, Morgan stormed to the counter, only to be met by two faces she had never seen.

What happened to Miriam and Ryan? The bartenders she had hired before leaving the club under Terry's care and relocating to Grassview.

"Where's Terry?" Morgan Daniels tried to mask the rage in her voice as she spoke.

One of the girls looked at her from head to toe, smacking her gum and playing with a strand of hair.

"Who's asking?"

The older woman inhaled and exhaled, trying to calm the anger that was rapidly rising in her.

"Her boss" she replied, her expression stoic.

A look of dread and panic washed over both girls' faces and they immediately adjusted themselves.

"Morgan? What are you doing here?" the voice belonging to the person she had been asking for called out.

Morgan turned to face Terry who had a panicked expression on her face.

"Hello, Terry" Morgan greeted with a forced smile on her face. "Mind explaining what the fuck happened to her club?" she added in a sharp tone, making Terry flinch as anger officially took over her body.
