“Don’t worry. Her blood has become one with all of us. She won’t be able to get far from us. Even if we can’t find her, she will look for us herself. She will feel incredible pain if she keeps avoiding me,” said Robert, the masked man who was now staring at Alessia’s departure.

In the morning at the royal palace, Alexandra was walking in the garden while carrying a book. She really wanted to read in the library to relieve her boredom. All her duties to serve the king had been completed.

"Alexandra? Have you returned to the first palace?" Suddenly, General Marcelino Enzo greeted her, making Alexandra stop in her tracks.

"Good morning, General," Alexandra greeted him respectfully, unlike usual.

"Good morning. How are you?" Enzo asked so excitedly to see Alexandra's beautiful face at the beginning of her activities.

"I'm very well," Alexandra replied, still lowering her head. She didn't want to be careless anymore towards the man in front of her whose position was much higher than hers.

"Why is your attitude different now?" Enzo asked.

"Huh?" Alexandra lifted her face and looked at Enzo's face. Their eyes now began to meet.

Unconsciously, Enzo smiled so sweetly, praising the natural beauty of the woman in front of him now. Her charm really made him even more captivated. "I want you to act like usual. Brave and firm with me," he said.

"Okay." Those were the only words that came out of Alexandra's mouth. She looked awkward and wanted to leave immediately.

"Where do you want to go?"

“I want to go to the library. Then, I’ll go first.” Alexandra continued her steps. However, suddenly someone called her name, forcing her to stop again. She turned her head back. “Why did she come here?” she muttered softly.

Martha and the queen mother walked closer to her. “Good morning, General Marcelino Enzo,” Martha greeted, seeing the general who was popular in the Moonbright Kingdom.

“Good morning. What made Martha and the queen mother come here?” Enzo asked with a friendly smile. He certainly knew who the woman who was with the queen mother was.

“I want to visit the king’s place, and also make sure there are no pests around,” Martha said while glancing at Alexandra.

Enzo felt the tension between Martha and Alexandra. However, he had no intention of interfering. “The king must be very happy to see you here.” All the lycans already knew that Martha was the only strongest queen candidate at the moment.

“That’s for sure,” Martha answered confidently.

“General, I want to ask you a question. What if a palace servant gets pregnant out of wedlock?” Regina suddenly asked a rather sensitive question.

“Of course, that violates the kingdom’s rules. All lycans in this kingdom must have a clear status before they decide to have children and that has been recorded in the kingdom’s laws,” Enzo answered firmly. He was known to be very obedient to the kingdom’s rules and was against lycans who violated them.

Martha and Regina smiled meaningfully. They both now looked at Alexandra, who was lowering her face. “We should check all the workers in this palace. Because I heard that there was a servant who was pregnant without having a status,” Martha said, making Alexandra widen her eyes.

“Why did that happen? Does the king know?” Big news that Enzo just found out. He was quite shocked to hear that there was a servant who dared to break the royal rules.

“I don’t know if the king knows or not. But what is clear is that the servant must be punished according to the applicable regulations,” answered Martha. She was very satisfied to see the change in Alexandra’s expression, which looked so scared.

“Have you heard about this news?” asked Enzo, who was now looking at Alexandra.

“Huh? No,” replied Alexandra, lying. She knew that Martha and the queen mother had deliberately cornered her. However, she should not act rashly before getting instructions from the king.

“Oh, really?” Regina smiled mockingly.

“If the queen mother wants to check all the servants in this palace, please do it. But it would be better if the queen mother asked the king’s permission first. Don’t act on your own accord,” said Alexandra, making Regina and Martha even more annoyed with her.

Enzo was quite surprised to see Alexandra’s courage towards the queen mother and also Martha. However, instead of being disgusted, he was even more attracted to the woman's attitude, which was different from the other women who worked in the palace.

"We should go straight to the king's room, Queen Mother," said Martha, holding Regina's hand. The two of them left Alexandra and Enzo alone.

"Do you have a problem with the two of them?" Enzo whispered to Alexandra.

"No. They both just don't like me," Alexandra answered with a sigh.

"Why?" Enzo looked surprised.

"I don't know, and I don't care." Alexandra shrugged her shoulders.

"Nice girl." Enzo bravely stroked her head like a lover.

"What are you doing?" Alexandra immediately moved away. She didn't want to be the talk of the other servants.

"Nothing. I just wanted to be nice to you. You are very brave, and that's what makes you so attractive." Enzo couldn't hide his attraction to Alexandra anymore.

"Oh, thank you. But you're overreacting. I'm just being myself. If there's nothing important anymore, I'll go." Alexandra turned her body and continued her steps.

Enzo smiled as Alexandra left. “Perfect.”

In the king’s room, Stevan was sitting relaxed while reading reports from several of his spies outside the palace. “It seems like those damn vampires want to play with me,” he muttered while crumpling the paper in his hand.

“Good morning, King. How are you?” Regina and Martha began to enter the room.

Stevan looked towards the door and put the paper in his hand on the table. “Good morning. What brings you two here?” There was no smile at all that he showed.

Martha smiled happily seeing the handsome king. She missed moments like this where she could stare at his face as much as she wanted. “I came here to visit to find out how you are, King. Besides, I also want to contribute to the planning to fight the vampire nation,” Martha replied with a polite smile.

“I am very well. No need. You just need to protect your family. I have prepared everything,” said Stevan in his firm and wise style. Martha just smiled in response.

Stevan's gaze now shifted to Regina. "What brings you here, Queen Mother? Do you just want to accompany Martha?" No matter how much he hated her, he couldn't be too rude to his grandmother.

"I came here to see the situation around and to make sure the news doesn't spread," Regina replied.

Stevan frowned. "What news do you mean, Queen Mother?"
