Confusing Identity
“Is he really sleeping?” Alexandra muttered as she stared intently at the king’s face. “Hmm, I think so.” She leaned her back against the back of the sofa. Today had been so tiring for her. Gradually, drowsiness began to approach. Her eyes closed, and she began to enter her subconscious.

In a cave, there were several black-hooded lycans guarding the area. Alessia, who was in the cave, could only remain silent while observing the surrounding situation. If counted, there were about twenty black-hooded lycans nearby. They seemed to be performing a strange ritual, lining up in a circle while frying their hands with knives. Their blood drops were put together in a bucket that had been provided. Not only that, they also recited strange sentences that she did not understand.

“What is happening here? What are they doing? And what are they going to do to me?” Various questions began to bother Alessia’s mind. She felt a black aura around her.

After completing the ritual, their leader, the masked man, now walked towards Alessia. “What do you feel now?” he asked in a hoarse and heavy voice.

“It’s okay,” Alessia replied with a sharp gaze.

The masked man chuckled softly. “You are indeed very brave. I like your character,” he said.

“I don’t care,” Alessia replied, turning her face away, reluctant to look at the face of the man who could not be seen.

“No problem.” The masked man ordered one of his men to come closer. He then held Alessia’s right hand without her permission.

Alessia gasped at his actions. “What are you doing?”

“Follow me if you want to be happy,” said the masked man. He took a small knife from his man’s hand.

“I don’t want to!” Alessia tried to struggle. However, her efforts were in vain when the two black-hooded lycans held her body so that she could not move. She immediately winced in pain when the small knife scratched the skin of her hand. “What did I do wrong when you did this to me?” she asked loudly.

The masked man collected Alessia’s blood drops in a bucket containing his and his other men’s blood. “You did nothing wrong to me. It’s just that you were born with the same face as Alexandra,” he said. He then carried the bucket of blood to the middle of the cave, then poured the collected blood onto a statue that looked terrifying.

“Alexandra? Who is she?” Alessia frowned. However, suddenly her eyes widened when she realized the name she had said. “Where is she now?”

“Do you know Alexandra? Have you ever met her?” asked the masked man who approached Alessia again.

“Nope,” Alessia answered firmly.

The masked man examined Alessia’s face, trying to find something strange in her strange attitude. “Why did you look so surprised when I mentioned Alexandra?”

Alessia fell silent, reluctant to answer the masked man’s question. “No. I’m not allowed to tell her the truth,” she thought to herself.

“If you’re silent, it means you know that someone has the same face as you.” His hand began to touch Alessia’s face, making the woman tense up.

“What do you want from me?” she asked anxiously.

“Be my puppet to fight the king,” he answered, smiling behind his mask. His hand began to move away from Alessia’s face.

“What do you mean? Why do you have to use me? Why not Alexandra?” Alessia was truly confused by the situation that was happening to her.

“Because Alexandra is currently in the palace and is the king’s personal servant. Of course, I will have difficulty controlling her. Unlike you, who I can control at any time,” he answered casually.

“So, Alexandra is now in the Lycan world? No wonder I never met her in the human world. What should I do? I shouldn’t have come to the Lycan world. My life in the human world is better than here. But, how can I escape from this cave?” Alessia thought while watching the movements of the man in front of her.

“Where have you been hiding all this time? Why is it so difficult for me to track your whereabouts? At first, I thought the woman in the palace was you, but it turned out after I investigated it wasn’t. I don’t know where that woman came from. Her origins are very strange and suspicious,” said the masked man. Alessia just kept quiet. She was confused about what to answer and how to explain the situation. That was indeed beyond reason.

“Damn! Why are you just keeping quiet? Are you deliberately testing my patience?” The masked man growled, starting to get irritated by Alessia’s indifferent attitude.

"I'm in a place far from here, and obviously not a single Lycan knows. Why are you asking that? It's so unimportant," grumbled Alessia, who was starting to get fed up with the attitude of the man in front of her.

"Okay. That's not important. Because the important thing is that now you are on my side." He then ordered his men to untie the ropes that tied Alessia's hands and feet.

"Looks like I have to find a way to escape from here," she thought. All the ropes binding her body were removed, and she could now move freely as she pleased.

Day turned into night. It didn't feel like Alessia had been in the cave for a day and night. Now the conditions in the cave look quiet. Only a few black-hooded lycans stood guard around. She secretly began to think of various ways to escape from the cave. However, there were some Lycans who still liked to watch her.

After a few minutes, the atmosphere started to look very quiet, and Alessia started to carry out her actions. Slowly, she stepped through the dark cave passages to find a way out. “Why is this cave so big? Where can I find the exit?”

Step by step, she finally found the exit. "Strange. Why is his guard so weak? Did they look down on me so much that there was no one to guard outside?” She muttered softly as she continued walking.

When she managed to get out of the cave, Alessia smiled in relief. “Finally, I can breathe fresh air again. I should get out of here and return to the human world so that I can’t be tracked by that cruel masked man,” she muttered softly. She looked around, but there was not a single lycan in sight. Without thinking any longer, she immediately left the cave area.

“Robert, are you sure you’ll just let her go? What if we can’t find her again?” said one of the men in black hoods who was now standing behind a large tree while watching Alessia leave.
