Sweet Attention King

Sweet Attention King
“You suddenly fainted when you came to the second palace. So I told the servants to take you to my place. How are you now?” Regina answered calmly.

“Quite well.” Alexandra suddenly remembered something. “What do you want to give me, Queen Mother? It just so happens that the king is here now,” she said, looking seriously at the queen mother.

Regina smiled faintly, then looked at her personal servant. “Get the things I have prepared for the king,” she said, still looking calm. Her personal servant heeded the order and immediately went to get something. Not long after, her personal servant returned carrying a long wooden box and handed it to her.

“I have been preparing this item for a long time. I hope you like it, King.” Regina handed the box to Stevan.

Stevan accepted the gift from the queen mother with a lot of questions on his mind. Without waiting long, he immediately opened the box. His eyes immediately lit up. It turned out that what was inside was a legendary sword that he had been looking for all this time. “How did the queen mother get this sword?”

Regina smiled, seeing the positive response from the king. It was not in vain that she tried her best to get the sword. It turned out that it could save her from the king’s suspicion. “That doesn’t matter. As long as you are happy, I am also happy.”

“Thank you so much, Queen Mother. I'm very happy to receive this extraordinary gift.” Stevan looked very satisfied. Now his gaze returned to Alexandra. “Let’s go back.”

Stevan put the box containing the sword beside the bed, then he approached Alexandra. “Please deliver the sword to palace one,” he said while glancing at the queen mother’s personal servant. “Next time, if you want to give me a gift, deliver it directly to the first palace without having to bother Alexandra,” he said again firmly, making the queen mother unable to move. After that, Stevan carried Alexandra in bridal style, then left the queen mother’s private room.

“Damn it! I can’t accept the king treating me like this just because of that lowly servant,” Regina cursed in annoyance while watching the king, who had disappeared from behind the door of her room.

The sun began to rise and shine. Now Stevan stood staring at the window in his private room while calming his heart, which was starting to beat fast. A beautiful smile never faded from his tiny lips. He continued to hum beautiful tunes depicting a heart that was in bloom, until he didn’t realize that Alexandra had woken up from her long sleep.

“King?” Her voice sounded soft, but it was able to shake Stevan’s heart. He turned his head and smiled so brightly. He was carried away by the silent, sad gaze. He felt like hugging her to relieve the longing that was embedded in his heart after several hours of not meeting the woman he adored. However, his smile soon became sad when he saw the woman in front of him still looking pale.

“How are you now? Your face still looks pale,” asked Stevan anxiously as he approached and placed his hand on Alexandra’s forehead.

“Ah, I’m fine. Just lack of sleep.” Alexandra then sat leaning on the back of the bed. She stared at the king’s face closely. There was a certain happiness when seeing the king, who was worried about her. However, she quickly turned her gaze elsewhere.

“Are you sure the queen mother didn’t do anything strange to you? Look, your face still looks pale. Even your lips are dry,” said Stevan, looking worried. He continued to examine Alexandra’s face. Making sure of her condition carefully.

Alexandra looked back at Stevan deeply and intensely with a very charming smile. “I like it when the king worries about me like this,” she said, making Stevan immediately stunned. He didn’t expect those sweet words to come out of her lips.

“You’re sick, but you can still tease me,” Stevan said with blushing cheeks. “How about I call the palace doctor to check your condition?” He changed the subject instead of hiding his feelings.

“No need. The king will just take care of me. I’ll get better soon,” Alexandra replied, still smiling sweetly.

“Yes, but what’s wrong with the doctor checking you? He knows your condition better than I do.” Stevan still insisted. However, Alexandra smiled even wider. “Don’t smile! That’s very dangerous for me,” he said, looking away.

“Take it easy. I’m just tired, and it’s nothing serious. Why is the king so fussy?” Alexandra replied, still smiling at Stevan.

“Of course I’m worried about you. There’s another life in your stomach right now. You shouldn’t be selfish.” Stevan immediately sat on the sofa with an annoyed face. He wanted to force her and call the palace doctor to his private room, but he decided against it because he respected Alexandra's opinion.

"Forgive me. But this time I'm really in good condition." Alexandra smiled, seeing the king's sullen expression. "Come here if the king doesn't believe me," she said in a soft voice.

Stevan obeyed Alexandra's words. He stood up from his seat and approached the woman. Without his consent, suddenly his hand was pulled until he sat on the bed. His body immediately froze when Alexandra hugged him. "What are you doing?" he whispered in a stutter.

"I just want to tell you that my condition is fine," Alexandra whispered right next to Stevan's ear.

"Oh, okay." Stevan returned the hug. The hug he missed so much. Comfort and calm filled his heart again after not feeling it for a long time.

After that, Stevan and Alexandra were lost in a light discussion, and occasionally they both joked with each other. There was even a small argument. They both seemed to be starting to feel comfortable with each other. Stevan's struggle for the past few days to catch up with her was not in vain. His warm and romantic attitude came out when he was with Alexandra.

Alexandra had been in the king's private room for quite some time. Now she was sleeping soundly on the king's bed after being fed. Every minute, Stevan kept checking on her condition. The cold sweat on her forehead was no longer wetting her face. Stevan had no intention whatsoever of leaving her alone. He was still very worried about her condition. He even asked Alexandra to stay in that room.

Suddenly, the door to the room opened. "King, it's bad! The vampire nation is starting to move," Morgan said breathlessly.
