'Why didn't you try to look for me, Sweetheart?'

Those simple but dominating words Froze me on the spot. That one mention of 'Sweetheart Nearly took a second for me to realise the man behind me, as my already pounding heart started racing at the moment!

Immediately, I turned around on my heels only to come across the Godly face I knew, towering over me with his big frame. It's the kind of face and advent that is 'once seen and always in mind' type. After all, who would forget such a Godly appearance!?

My eyes took his features seriously.

Those golden-green eyes were cold and radiating darkness as usual. With no warmth and a smile on his face, he looked exactly like his brother Ryger now, with his new behaviour. But this time, in my sanity, I could guess! Why is he hidden? Or was he still cast out of Wave Family? River is stubborn sometimes. It is someone else with whom I had to spend two erotic nights! Right?' I pursed my lips. 'Maybe, I can ask for some clarification.' I thought.

Still I tried to finalise the result on my own and no matter how much I tried to compare the personalities he shows from time to time, the more I was getting sure that both were different. Which was also very confusing for me.

I pursued my lip tightly, looking up at him. "Umm... May I ask what is wrong with you and your family, I don't take it to heart please?" I asked, ignoring his question as if I didn't understand what he said.

His left brow arched up at me in front of him. Did I just ignore him? And he didn't like it.

He stepped forward, closing that little space they had between them. "You want my name?" He asked.

"Umm... I..." I felt breathless. The man was so intimidating. I was lost in front of him and every time it happened! My throat turned dry and his intoxicating scent was getting on my nerves, heating me up from the inside.

'Fuck! Concentrate Lila!' I scolded myself in my mind.

Blinking my eyes, I tried to step back from him but before that he suddenly grabbed me by the waist and pushed me back on the wall, pinning me under him once again!

"Uh..." I gasped, widening my eyes in horror. "What are you... mmm." my words turned into a low moan the moment his hot lips touched mine. However, he didn't really kiss me but the corner of his lips slightly twitched, seeing his effect on me.

I closed my eyes in embarrassment, cursing my own traitless body in mind.

His lips slowly touched my earlobe. As his hot breath fell on my neck, I shivered at the temptation. I bit down my lips to control my  moan when I heard his husky whisper.

"I want privacy for now, Stay away from Ryger." He finally said.

The moment I heard his warning, my eyes popped open only to meet those enchanting eyes. "What's wrong with Ryger..." I asked as if she was getting his word.

'I was right! He must have an argument with Ryger as usual! Even though his family name is different, He changed everything about him! But, how on earth will both brothers Fight not just brother,  twin for that matter?' I thought.

Tugging my bottom lip with my teeth, I looked up at his gorgeous face, only to meet his dark gaze on me. His gaze was dancing with naked desire, eyeing my lips and I could feel my own heat between my legs.

Still watching my lips, River leaned more to my face, touching my chin with his hot and rough fingers. "I would like you to scream my name next time." As his eyes locked on mine.

I gulped. The sinful part of me was shouting inside to have a taste of this delicacy. But, I should stop myself, right? Because as much as I despise the idea, the truth is my ex turned to my one night stand and my one night stand just turned out to be the new boss of the company I work for and pinned me down under him!

The combination was already a mess!

"Uh... Well..." I tried to think of an excuse and suddenly my eyes fell behind him. "What's that!?" River frowned in confusion as he looked behind and took the chance me to slip out of his arms. His face turned gloomy with dissatisfaction. "You tricked me."

"Well, it's not necessary to get so close to the work I am here, sir." I smiled at him professionally. "Hope we can proceed with our work in hand. How about that?"

A flash of curiosity formed in his cold eyes. This woman was getting more and more interesting with time. He is used to facing people grabbing every chance to upgrade their position in their work and I has it open for me, while I was adamant to push it away.

Of course, he knows about me now and I was the main reason for him to buy this little company and even invited me to the meeting. He already knows how she went inside and the hatred I got for that. And this time, River wanted to see my ability.

Without a word, he walked back to his seat and pointed me to the seat at his opposite. After I was seated, River eyed me for once before asking. "So, how are you going to start this project, Reyna?” River asked I licked my dry lips, feeling nervous. Yet, I was determined to do it. This is the only chance for me to survive in this industry.

"Macarons Scent” one of the most legendary perfumes in history. But, with time it just disappeared. To recreate it we need to know the essence of this product. So, the very first thing is, we need to do some research to find out who once owned this perfume and collect the extracts." I described it in a very serious manner.

Rivee's lips twitched up in a smirk with a raised brow. "Reyna, let me remind you that it is near to impossible to find that person. The perfume existed for a long time back then. Even if you find the person somehow then what next? How will you get to know the scent of it?" He leaned forward to the desk, "not everyone is a perfumer, Reyna."

I didn't like his remarks; I also leaned forward to the desk. "But, I do believe in hard work, sir. It's almost impossible but not entirely! And I believe that hard work pays off! How can we just get discouraged without even trying it?" I argued back to him. "Please River, rethink it. We can try at least once."

A smile appeared on River's face which almost distracted me in every way! For the first time, I saw him smiling.

On the previous two nights it wasn't there.

'Oh. My. God. He looks so gorgeous while smiling! And those dimples... They are ravishing! Why doesn't he just smile more often?' I thought, clenching my thighs in an unknown anticipation.

"I guess, you are right." River agreed with me  and his voice snapped me out of my little fantasy.

"Y...yeah, I know." I tried to cover up my own embarrassment. 'Thank God, he didn't notice my ogling or find out something else to tease me!' I tugged my bottom lips with my teeth and then let it go, standing up on my feet. "Well, so the meeting is over and I guess I should leave."

"Yeah..." River leaned back on his chair. "Before going out why don't you bring me that file, Reyna? Third row, fifth one from the right side." He pointed at the row of black files on the adjusted shelf.

I was confused for a second and then with a nod, I quickly went to the shelf to bring him the file he asked for.

When I kept the file on the desk, suddenly he pulled me toward him and made my sit on his lap, Trapping me once again between him and the desk.

I was startled at his sudden action, and she gasped loudly. "What are you doing!?"

"The meeting is over but my words with you didn't." He said, Looking deep into my eyes, piercing my soul.

"Wh...what do you mean? There is nothing more to discuss!" I tried to compose my thudding heart while sitting on his lap.

His evil dominating look already warned me that he was up to no good! And I was right! When he leaned forward and opened his undeniably sexy mouth.

"Oh yes, there is. Now we can discuss how you would like to pay me after taking advantage of me twice, Reyna.”
