Chapter 36 Dimitri And Cohen Facing Off 1

"This child could be mine too," said Cohen.
Damn it, this hospital is going to collapse right now!
Why didn't he just stay quiet and give me affection, Lord, why?
"You may have been with her for a while, but this child is mine, and I won't let you touch the baby, much less her.
I want you out of here, or I swear I'll throw you out with my own hands," Dimitri replied, agitated.
"Try it then, I'm staying and nobody's going to kick me out of here, not even you," Cohen said in the same tone.
"Stop it, you two. Don't you realize this fight is pointless? Madi is unwell, she hasn't woken up yet. You should be worried about her, not arguing about who's the Alpha Male?" I said, trying to calm things down.
I just want to make it clear that I like Madi, and if this child is mine, I will give her all my love and affection.
Unlike you, Dimitri, I didn't abandon her and I never will.
Could you please shut that delicious little mouth of yours?
Just as Dimitri was about to answer, a nurse interrupted us, and I thank God for that.
Dr. Fernando asked me to let you know that the patient will not be able to receive visitors now due to the severe head injury, she needs to remain under observation even though she is out of danger.
She is under medication and will remain so for at least four days.
"I'm not going home without seeing Madi. I want to see her now. Do you understand? NOW!" Dimitri said, glaring at the poor nurse.
"You have no power here, Dimitri," Cohen declared.
I have power, I can use it wherever I want it.
Mr. Thompson, I'm sorry, but only Dr. Fernando can authorize visits.
I'm very sorry.
When the nurse leaves, Cohen and Dimitri engage in a deadly staring contest.
I roll my eyes at the situation.
My friend is lucky to have two gorgeous guys like them falling at her feet, true gods who each love her in their own way, but love her nonetheless
Sometimes I'm a little envious of her; Madi is beautiful and attracted attention from the moment she arrived at the club, winning their hearts, and me, well, I've been at that club for 5 years, and no man has been interested in me.
I'm definitely unlucky.
"Laura, would you like to have coffee with me?" Cohen asks, pulling me from my reverie.
"Oh, sure, I really need to get you out of here before you two kill each other," I said loudly so Dimitri could hear.
We walked to the hospital cafeteria in silence.
I can't stop thinking about my friend in there and me out here with one of the men she likes.
I'm certain that Madi's feelings for Cohen are very different from what she has for Dimitri, but even so, they have a connection, and the way things were going, there's a 50% chance that the connection is inside her womb.
I order a cappuccino, and so does Cohen.
I don't feel like eating much, so I don't order anything more than that.
Cohen is sitting across from me, and for a few minutes, I watch the way he stirs his cappuccino.
It's amazing how he manages to look sexy even in that small gesture.
Noticing my glances, he gives me a smile that makes me blush.
I don't understand why his smile affects me so much; I've never blushed before, and with him it's so natural.
So Laura, you and Madi are very good friends, right? I believe she told you who I am.
Yes, she told me, and between you and her, that's amazing.
I never thought I'd meet someone like you.
How can you pretend to be a businessman when you're not?
Actually, I'm a businessman, Laura, not everything is a facade.

"What was it?" he asked, intrigued.
Nothing, it's just that Madi told me exactly everything that happened between you two, and she thinks that the things you told her before revealing your "big secret" were all lies.
I know, we had a terrible fight about it, she wouldn't listen to me and I let her calm down, but it was a mistake.

But I know that her heart belongs to Dimitri, it always has, and I knew that.
Look Cohen, I have my opinion about this love triangle, but if you truly love her and now there's a possibility you could be the father of this baby, I advise you to fight for your happiness since you're certain you'll only be happy with her.
What the hell am I talking about?
He takes my hand, and I feel my whole body respond to his touch.
Cohen smiles at me and says.
Thank you Laura, that's exactly what I'll do now.
Damn it, why did I have to play love counselor?
Stupid, stupid, stupid.
I'll need to go out, but I'll be back soon, okay? Promise me you'll call me if anything happens?

Cohen gives me a light kiss on the cheek and heads towards the exit, and I stand there like an idiot watching him leave, having decided to fight for Madi when it was me who put that nonsense in his head.
What the hell was I thinking?
Two days later
Two days have already passed, Ma'am Rose released me to stay at the hospital, which was a miracle.
Madi still hasn't woken up and I'm getting more and more anxious.
Dimitri doesn't leave the hospital either, and when he does, it's only to take a shower and then he rushes back.
That handsome face is visibly worn down.
Dimitri isn't eating properly, and every time the doctor comes to give news about Madi, he threatens the doctor to let him see her, but nothing works, and it's destroying him.
Cohen is trying his best to come, but his situation is complicated.
Besides the company, he needs to get the last piece of evidence he needs, Ma'am Rose's confession, but it's not easy at all.
Furthermore, Cohen suspects that this accident was intentional.
He investigated and managed to see the video from a store's security camera, and based on his knowledge, the car was intended to hurt Madi.
