Declaration Of Love

“No, but the resistance he gave was terrible. Jack seems to have supernatural powers." shouted Heriet, starting to get emotional because his friends didn't believe his words.

“Magical powers?! are you kidding me?"

“No… I'm serious, at that time I was really scared to see him. He's not like the Jack I usually see, he's like a monster.”

"Su...that's enough, I don't want to hear it anymore!"

"Lis, can you believe it?"

“I…I have to go.” Melisa looked weak after hearing Heriet's statement. In his heart he really couldn't accept it.

Lisa walked away, her face so confused. Heriet didn't want to chase him, he felt very sorry but whether he wanted to or not he had to say it anyway.

Melisa wiped away the tears that she had unknowingly flowed from her eyes. She didn't know what made her cry like this, especially for someone she had just met like Jack.

Melisa saw Jack like the previous morning. Jack always sat alone under a shady tree reading a book. Melisa took a hesitant step towards Jack. As she got closer, she felt her heart beating erratically, her breathing felt very short.

Melisa was wrong, Jack was sleeping there. But his hand was still holding the book, he was asleep, his face was very serious but innocent. Melisa really wanted to touch him, even just a little. Her hand slowly began to gently caress Jack's face, Melisa's tears began to flow again as if she didn't know why she was crying and what made her feel this sad.

"Jack?" He whispered softly as his breathing became ragged and his chest became tight.

Jack woke up, his eyes were wide open and from the look on his face he was confused as to why Melisa was near him.

"Hi ?" Melisa was nervous and immediately hid her soft hand that had just stroked Jack.

"What do you want ?" Jack asked coldly, even though he was angry from his words, his expression was as usual, very cold and flat.

"I...I'm sorry, I saw you sleeping earlier so I wanted to wake you up because class time will start soon." Melisa answered, giving a reason.

“Thanks, but I can get up myself.” Jack stood up carrying his bag and books. He intended to leave Melisa.

“Ja…Jack…?” shouted Melisa. Jack's steps stopped and then he looked back.

"What is it ?"

"I...I don't know what to say, but...but I...I...I...like you." Melisa's heart was beating fast, she was confused as to why he said that. The words just flowed without being able to stop them. He just looked down embarrassed and afraid to hear Jack's words which might hurt him.

Jack was silent for a moment while looking at Melisa closely, after that without saying a word he immediately left. Melisa raised her head, she was sad and thought maybe Jack was like that as a sign that he was rejecting her declaration of love or maybe the attention she gave Jack was too insufficient so that Jack would accept her love.

After school, Melisa decided to visit Jack's house. This time she was very enthusiastic and put aside all her fears about the house which was said to be very haunted. Melisa firmly believes that her love for Jack will kill her fear.

Melisa was sneaking around, she thought that Jack would catch her going into his house, she was afraid that Jack would throw her out like what happened before. Melisa brought a box of cheesecakes that she bought at the cake shop. She hoped that Grandma and Grandpa Jack would be happy with the souvenirs she bought. Melisa thinks this is the first step to show her affection for Jack.

Melisa took a deep breath and kept letting it out, she was very nervous about pressing the old house bell, her heart was beating fast.

"What do you want?" said someone, suddenly making Lisa shocked to death.

“Kya…. shouted Melisa. His heart felt like it was going to jump out of his body.

"Why are you screaming?" asked Jack with a face as cold as polar ice.

"How can I not scream? You came suddenly and surprised me like that."

"What are you doing here ?"

"You're so cold, be a little friendlier to women."

"I'm not friendly to anyone, what do you want?"

“I came to visit your grandmother and grandfather. "I've come here before, I've also brought cheesecake." Melisa smiled as she lifted the cake in her hand.

"Go home !" said Jack as he opened the door.

“Wh…why is that? I've come a long way."

"I don't like you often coming to my house!"

“But... actually, besides, grandpa and grandma are happy that I came. Besides, I didn't come for you but for Louis' grandfather and grandmother, don't be nervous."

Jack stopped in his tracks, suddenly Louis's grandmother came with a confused face when she saw Melisa who was standing at the front door of her house.

"Oh... Melisa, why are you standing there? Jack, why don't you bring your friends in?”

"Yes, Grandma, Jack kicked me out even though I came here to visit my grandparents. "Here, I brought you a souvenir." said Melisa complaining.

“Geez, you're really bothering me. If you want to play, come here, grandma will be very happy. Come on, please come in."

"Thank You." Melisa was very happy, she felt that luck was on her side this time.

"Jack, where are you going?" Grandma asked. Jack didn't answer, he continued walking along the stairs of his house.

"I'm sorry Jack, Lisa, his attitude is really cold. But actually he's a good kid."

“I understand, it's okay.”

Melisa is happy to be in this house, even though she is actually afraid. It seemed like there were many dark creatures in every corner of this house, like bloodthirsty creatures.

Melisa heard the sound of very beautiful piano music, music like she had never heard before. Melisa looked for the source of the sound, it turned out that this sound came from the piano which was located next to the large staircase in the family room.

Melisa walked slowly, she was afraid that she might see something strange, but her curiosity was greater than her fear at the moment.

Melisa saw Jack playing the piano, Melisa was fascinated. His eyes couldn't leave the beautiful view in front of him. Jack's face was cold and looked so serious, coupled with the beautiful music he was playing, Melisa couldn't blink.
