ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY EIGHT

**Dianna's POV

As I went into the night, the mansion was busy with activities, I was already tired of overseeing the castle's well-being and security of everybody. I immediately took a shower to ease the tension and stress, later proceeded to check on Neil but he was fast asleep so I decided not to disturb him. I went to the diner where I had my dinner.

After dinner, I sat in the courtyard close to the garden. The night breeze was so soothing as it seemed as if it was going to rain but there wasn't a single rain yet.

Rebecca came to me and sat by my side.

"Aren't you supposed to be resting?" I asked Rebecca.

"my queen, I'm supposed to be asking the same question. You're supposed to be resting too." She said.

"Well that makes us even." I replied with a smile.

"So tell me, how were you able to turn to your wolf form.?" She asked me.

"I didn't even know what came over me. But all I remember was that I was so scared but I didn't want my fears consumed, I just needed to do something. And when I closed my eyes I saw a white wolf and it instinctively called out to me. I knew it would help me so I just had to let it take charge of me. And that's all I can remember until Neil told me to stop." I explained.

"hmm... Good to hear. I just hope you won't have issues turning again." She said,

"That's what I wouldn't know. I don't think I can easily turn again unless given a challenging situation. Or someone I love is in danger." I replied.

"I hope this stays for good, I hope this will be the beginning of a new chapter." She said, heaving a sigh of relief.

"But I have another question." I said drawing closer to Rebecca.

"What's it?" She asked.

"At first, they wanted to kill me and suddenly their focus changed to Neil when he arrived. It didn't even look like they wanted to kill Neil. From the get go, I was their target. What isn't Alpha Luggard doing?" I asked, looking a little confused.

"Well, Alpha Luggard is the only suspect. He might have planned to kill you first to get at Neil. Or it may still be a ploy to get Nail out of the mansion unprepared." She explained. But she still saw the confusion in my face. She knew that I knew that fact, but there was something I couldn't quite point out.

"My queen, you still look confused. Do you have any suspects in mind?" She asked me.

"I don't know. But I think my stepbrother and rival may have a hand in this too. It looks like what they can be up to." I revealed.

"Yeah, your ex boyfriend and rival may want to kill me. But why would they want to kill Neil? For all we know Anne wants Neil by all means, why would she want to kill him?" She said. But I was still not convinced by that reply.

"My queen, I can't doubt you either. Your reasons are valid for your suspicions. All I can say is, let's not rule out any of them, we just have to keep very close eyes on our enemies." She said, and I think soothed me a little, and I heaved a sigh of relief while she stood as the moist and cool breeze brushed through our hairs.

"I think I need to sleep now, my queen. And you too, and it's about to rain. Your need to have your rest now my queen. Please let's go in together, I don't want to leave you here thinking all by yourself." She said while dragging me up. And we both went to our separate rooms.

As I laid my tired and stressed out body on a warm and cozy bed, I tried to think about all that happened today. But before I could even remember anything I was fast asleep.

When I opened my eyes, everywhere was suddenly bright and almost blinding. I couldn't understand what was happening until I heard a familiar voice calling me from behind. As I turned, I could see a shadow standing in front of the bright lights. And she called out again.

"Dianna!" The familiar voice called out again. I decided to walk closer to the voice. And gradually the brightness of the lights began to dim.

I thought as much, it was my second, my doppelganger whom I've switched bodies with. I could finally see her clearly as the bright lights were no more. She stood close to me and smiled beautifully. She was beautiful, oh, I'm so beautiful.

"You did, and you've finally become and I've finally become you. We've finally changed our world for good." She said with a smile.

But I didn't know if that was something I should be happy about. Yeah I am enjoying the luxury here but I still want to have a sneak peak into my world.

"But... But... Does it mean I can no longer be in my world now that we've completely switched everything? According to you." I asked.

"I knew you were going to ask her. Well the last time we met I told you I was going to explain a lot of things if we're to meet the next time. But before I start explaining to you, I want to thank you for saving my life." She said and kept on smiling.

"How? How did I save you?" I asked because this confused me immediately.

She took my hands and we walked out of my room door, but as she opened it, I was so shocked. I was at my world, in my house. It was as though my mansion room door led straight to my house back to my world.

"Don't worry I'll explain everything. But now I'm going to show you how you saved me." She said still walking me inside my house.

It was so real, I could even touch my father's favorite couch. I could see our living room's television. My mother's dog was sleeping quietly at the side of one of the couches.

She then took me outside. And I got more confused. I could see her being dragged by an angry mob. I began to wonder if we're now three.

"Don't be scared. You're in my memory." She revealed, And that eased one of my confusions. But if that's her, why was she being dragged by an angry mob ready to kill her?
