Chapter 413 Moon Goddess

Chapter 413 Moon Goddess
Audrey opened the door to her and Darius’s chambers, looking to see the empty hallways. Perfect privacy. She walked inside and saw Darius pacing the space, his fingers raking through his hair, disheveling his dark locks.
Audrey frowned.

She turned around and closed the heavy oak door behind her with a soft click, only then did Darius realize she had entered. Audrey walked up to Darius, she took hold of his hand,
stopping his nervous pacing. “Hey, are you okay?”

Darius shook his head, his voice rough with worry. “I do not think we should do this. I… I cannot do this. What if I hurt you? I lose control and break too deeply into your skin.”

Audrey palmed his cheek gently, her thumb brushing over his tense jaw. “You will not hurt me. I trust you. Do not worry so much my love. You must calm down and trust yourself.”

“No we—”

Audrey got on her tip toes and pressed her lips to Darius’s, shutting him up. She bit down on his lower lip, wrapping her hands around his neck, pulling him down. She stepped closer, pressing her breasts against his hard chest, moving her lips against him, earning a response from him. Darius wrapped his hands around her waist, kissing her fiercely.

He slipped his tongue into her mouth, tasting every crevice. Audrey slipped her hands from his neck, settling on his coat. She tugged on it and Darius shrugged it off. It dropped to the floor, his mantle followed. She pulled away, panting. She fisted the end of Darius’s tunic and helped take it over his head.

He stood before her, his chest covered in the beautiful calligraphy of his markings.

Slowly, Darius hooked the waist of his pants and pulled it down, leaving only his breeches. His length dug mercilessly through the fabric, fighting to be let out. Audrey’s eyes dropped to it, her cheeks flushed and her eyes widened with hunger. Darius reached down, placed his hands under Audrey’s thighs and picked her up. Audrey wrapped her legs around Darius’s torso.

She cupped his face, leaning down and capturing his lips once more.

Darius walked over to the bed with Audrey in his arms. Gently he lowered her down to the bed, releasing her to lay beneath him. She lay there, between his legs, her long, dark hair scattered along the pillows, her cheeks red and flushed, her chemise already slipping off one shoulder.

Darius leaned down, trailing kisses from her jaw to her neck. He stopped at the spot where he was to mark her, the small bruise from his past attempt was still there.

Darius trailed his tongue over it, sending a shiver down Audrey’s spine. Audrey moaned, turning her head to the side to allow him access. She braced herself, wrapping her hands around his neck again.

“I’m ready,” she whispered, her voice laced with arousal.

Darius took in a deep breath and pressed an open mouthed kiss to the spot. He sucked hard on it before opening his canines and biting down. Audrey cried out, biting down on her lower lip to muffle the noise. Darius could not stop now, he bit down all the way, his canines leaving an imprint on her skin. Audrey gasped, her whole body began to convulse, her hands slipping from his neck.

Fear filled Darius’s heart as he pulled back, seeing his mark form his initials on her neck. Her eyes had rolled to the back of her head, her body jerking off the bed. The vision had started. Darius pulled Audrey into his arms, tears falling down his cheek.

He continued to repeat over and over through tears, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry.”

AUDREY

I gasped, trying to get as much air into my lungs as possible. It was like I had been under water and was just brought back out. My hair fell over my shoulders as I sat up and I had to pull it back to see properly. My eyes scanned my surroundings and only then did I realize I had absolutely no idea where I was.

Everywhere was white, no stone floor in sight, no walls, no fur rugs, nothing, just white. Then, a soft, ethereal voice came from all around me, “Welcome, Audrey.”

I turned around, trying to find the owner of the voice. It was the same voice I had heard in every dream, the same voice that always spoke to me. In the distance, I could see an approaching figure, dark but light at the same time. She looked devastating. The closer she came, the more visible she became to me.

It was like she wore this dark, starry dress that seemed to be flowing and shifting somehow. She was tall, her skin light and flawless, her hair long and dark like the night sky. Stars adorned her head, twinkling about her curls

She looked like a dream. Staring at her made my eyes water. She leaned down, offering me her hand. I took it and she pulled me up to my feet. The white dress covering my form flowed down as well.

“You…” I did not know what to say. Words seemed to fail me when I needed them most.

She smiled softly down at me. “I am your husband’s mother."

“You are the moon goddess?” I could not believe it.

She nodded, the stars on her head moving along with her. “Yes, Audrey, and I have been waiting for you.”

“Why? I have been told that you have been sending me those visions, but I do not understanda”
