Chapter 46: Hi baby, see you in six month's time

Lomesa eyed the phone suspiciously for a while before picking it up and pressing the answer button.

"Hey baby, did you miss me?" A cheery voice came from the other end of the phone, the voice was too loud that Lomesa had to move the phone away from her ears last her eardrums got damaged in the process. She eyed the number again and frowned, this voice felt overly familiar, she just couldn't put a finger on where exactly she heard it.

"You are?" Lomesa asked, totally confused.

"Oh my God, you dare forget me? It's Wendy, you dummy!" The person on the other end was definitely dissatisfied. She was grumbling in grievance.

Wendy!

When Lomesa heard this name, she felt like giving herself a very hard slap on her face. This was Wendy, her childhood friend, the most important person in her life, how could she forget her? Was her brain fried or what? Because no one in their right minds would forget their best friends like that, okay? Infact, as far as she remembered, before Wendy went abroad, she always stood up for her, whenever someone bullied Lomesa, Wendy would always stand up for her. Her cheerful personality was always enough to affect the moods of everyone around her. Unfortunately, ever since that incident four years ago, everything changed. She wad suddenly sent overseas without a good bye . At that time, Lomesa missed her so much that she became sick. She only felt well after months of recuperating. That was clear that Wendy's sudden departure had dealt her a very big blow. However, she had to come to terms with the fact that, she could only be safe overseas. Her parents were doing this for her own good after all.

"Oh hi, I lost contact with you, of course I missed you." Lomesa suddenly changed her tone, it became so coy that even Wendy on the other side of the ocean felt her heart melt. She knew that she couldn't only give in to this baby of hers. After all, she was used to spoiling her ever since they were young.

"Alright alright, stop it, so tell me, how have you been?" Wendy asked.

The two of them chatted about everything, unknowingly, an hour had passed,. Wendy heard someone called her so she had no choice but to hung up. Her phone was then snatched away. She didn't know the next time she would get a hold of her phone. Lomesa also felt reluctant, she wabted to talk a little more with Wendy, she could only hung up sadly. It seemed as though the place where Wendy was studying prohibited phones, that was why she had only managed to get a hold of her phone today after the four years abroad, however, it was snatched over after just an hour. One could tell how strict the surveillance in the school was. Fortunately, she was told by the principal that as long as she did well in her exams, she would be able to go back to her home country. This was what motivated Wendy. She wanted to do well in the exams so that she could be granted access back to her home. She also never understood why she was set overseas all of a sudden. No matter how much she begged her parents at that time, her pleas fell on deaf ears. She firstly resented her parents for this, however, after staying for with while in the country she was in, she forgot about the resentment she Had for them. Instead, she would always miss them from time to time, thus, what remained as of now was only yearning. She yearned for her parent's love and attention, she hoped that wheb she got back to the country, that's what she would get.

In country A, where Lomesa's home country was, she was sitting on the bed, in the daze. If she remembered correctly, in her previous lifetime, Wendy never returned to the country. She never understood why. So, how come she was coming back to the country? Was the trajectory of her previous life's events going to change too? Thinking of thar, Lomesa's face turned pale. She just hoped it wouldn't. If it changed, she was sure she wasn't going to save those who were supposed to be saved on time. Especially the director of the orphanage. Who was more like her adoptive mother. Just the thought of her adoptive mother dying while she was watching was enough to send her heart into a frenzy. She didn't like that. However, she knew that problems would start arising when she was in the first year of campus, thus, she decided that, instead of fretting over the change of fate, she would instead begin planning for countermeasures. Only then would she be able to defeat the enemy and keep Mrs Anastasia and her research lab safe from the enemy's hand. After reassuring herself, she went abd took a shower, before laying down other bed. This time, because of the pain in her ankle, she drifted of to sleep earlier. Unbeknownst to her, she was causing trouble in someone's mind at that moment.

Two hours later, at Charm club, three handsome men were seated around one table. Two of them seemed to be talking non stop, while the other one only listened. However, the listener's mind seemed to be somewhere else. The two talkative men were Kai's best friends, On his right, sat Ian, while on his left, sat Blake, Kainwas obviously sandwiched between them but his mind was elsewhere.

Ian was a handsome boy with bewitching looks, he seemed playful and exuded the aura of the bad boy next door, while Blake was handsome yet cold, he seemed somewhat terrifying just by looking at him. He was handsome yet people could only admire him from a distance, he gave off an unapproachable vibe after all. Ian was a typical play boy, just like Kai. Only that Kai was low key a play boy. Ian on the other hand was very high profile as a play boy, no one could forger him no matter what. Moreover, it was said that Ian would usually give his ex girlfriends an exorbitant break up fee, thus, who wouldn't wish to be in his bed with all these things in place? Ever girl in clubs was always scrambling for his attention. What was funny was that the longest Oan could last in a relationship was a week. He usually broke up with his gurlfrievss at the faster rate, as long as he had fun, that's all that mattered to him. Even his old master st home was beginning to worry. He has never understood what exactly goes on in Ian's mind. He changed ever since the accident four years ago. He was never someone who would listen to others since then. Tired of his incessant nagging, Ian even moved places. He began living on his own. The only clean person among the trio was Blake. He has never Been in a relationship ever since he was born thus, there was nothing dirty about his past with girls.

As they had ordered drinks, two sexy looking girls came and started flirting with Ian, he was welcoming . He didn't throw them off.

Thinking of something, he called a waiter from the side and instructed him something In his ear, the water nodded and left. Two minutes later, he brought over a slim and sexy lady with long legs. She looked especially alluring. The waiter brought him to Kai's side.

"Bro, have fun." Ian said to Kai with a wink. Kai felt a headache coming on. He tiredly rubbed on his temple to sooth it.

"Sit" Kai ordered the girl whonwas fidgeting with her fingers at his side.

The girl sat down and placed her hands on her lap. It was clear that she was nervous. Kai began sizing her up, the more he looked at her, the more the frown on his face grew. He was wondering, why was her figure so bad? A figure suddenly flashed through his mind. Yes, she wanted the type of slim figure like that of that figure in his mind. The figure that flashed in his mind was Lomesa's. Now, Kai suspected something. Did that girl cast a spell on him? However, he shook his head. The girl had never even seen him, how could she cast a spell on him?

The girl sitting beside him saw that he didn't say anything, she she took a glass and poured him a drink, she then carried it gently and brought it to his mouth.

"Sir, please" the girl said while gesturing at the drink.

Fir some reason, Kai just grew disgusted. It was all so sudden that it caught him off guard. Just before the glass could touch his lower lip, he said in a chilling tone;

"Scram!"

Crash!

Just one word from him made the glass in the girl's hand to fall down on the floor and with a crash, she shards landed before her feet. She was so scared that her face turned pale. Without thinking twice, she fled from the scene, her face pale, as a sheet of paper.

"Kai, what's wrong?"
