I came back to our unit during dinner time. Stone insisted for me to eat with them but the thought of it is already too much for me after all the trouble that I caused them. He then insisted to assist me in going home because he thinks that I might pass out again so I already accepted his offer since he has a valid reason for it. Once I got home, I said my gratitude to his squad for accommodating me so good and for taking care of me when I can’t take care of myself.
Fire, Leaf and Wind looked so happy after finally seeing me. I felt like a special guest that they assisted my every move until I sat at the living room.
“Guys, I’m fine,” I informed them so they no longer make me feel like I need every assistance that I can get.
“Is your head hurting still?” Fire asked with the tone of concern in his voice.
“I told you – I’m fine,” I repeated as an answer. “Are you guys okay?” I diverted my topic so that they will stop making me feel like a kid.
“We weren’t the one who passed out in an ice skating field,” Wind answered with a sarcastic tone. “Are you okay?” He returned the question back at at me which made me look at him with my eyes shrinking before answering.
“For the third time, I am fine. I just woke up today and I’ve slept through the pain so I should be fine by now,” I repeated my answer and explained why I’m feeling fine so that they will already believe in me.
“You know, Hell – you should’ve informed us that you want to do the ice skating. It was supposed to be us that you’re going out with,” Fire said after he was convinced that I’m already okay.
“Don’t be so jealous, Fire. We’ll do it someday,” I teasingly answered but added something to console him.
“If you want to do something, just tell us and we’ll make it happen,” he added like a really jealous boyfriend who saw his girlfriend going out with someone else. The thought of it makes me blush because he’s being so territorial about me.
“Yes, sir,” I answered emphasizing the sir because he’s acting like a boss right now.
“Have you eaten already?” Leaf asked me like he suddenly thought about it.
“I’ve eaten a while ago but I’d still eat later for dinner,” I answered him. “I don’t want to cook right now. Maybe let’s just go out together for dinner,” I suggested. I feel so weak today to function like I normally do so I’d rather eat at a fast food restaurant than exhaust myself in making our dinner.
“Leaf cooked something for us. Trust me, it’s delicious,” Wind then said which surprised me.
“You know how to cook?” I asked curiously because the ref is really empty when I got here so it’s impossible for anyone to be cooking here.
“With the help of Google, of course. I made a beef stew to at least comfort you,” Leaf answered which I really appreciated.
It’s just my third day in this campus but the people around me are already making me feel so loved. For a place that has a reputation of housing a lot of gangsters, I didn’t expect this to happen. I’m feeling the opposite so I’m really lucky that I met the nicest people and not on the other side of the equation.
During our dinner, all eyes are on me which made me feel so awkward while eating. I ate so fast so that I can already escape those stares and when we’re all done, I was about to clean the dishes when suddenly, Fire stopped me.
“You shouldn’t do anything today. Go to your room now and relax while we do the chores,” he said which I immediately refused.
“I can manage. You don’t know how to do that so let me,” I insisted but Leaf stopped me this time.
“We won’t talk to you if you insist,” he said with a serious tone to convince me not to do it.
I laughed shaking my head because of their persistence. These guys really know how to make me agree on what they say.
“You may now go to your room, our princess,” Wind assisted me pointing at my room.
Since I know that they really won’t allow me to act on it, I followed their command and walked towards my room. I lay down on my bed but I can still hear them arguing with each other on how to wash the dishes properly which I laughed on since they really don’t know anything about it. I was at their shoes before. I know nothing about household chores before dad sent me to our hacienda to manage our business at an early age. I’m pretty sure that they never experienced what I did so for sure; even the simplest household chore would be so unfamiliar to them.
When the guys can’t agree with each other on how to do it, I immediately stood up to help them but before I even reached the door, Heaven already shouted which shocked me.
“What the heck? You guys are acting stupid! Stay away from the kitchen and let me do it,” I almost dropped my jaw after hearing that. He’s been quiet ever since I came here and now, it’s really surprising how he managed to shout at his friends just because of simple dish cleaning.
Maybe that’s the reason why he tries so hard to remain quiet. Maybe he is really that ill-tempered so it would be so much better for him just to shut his mouth to avoid saying too much.
Suddenly, someone knocked on my door and since I’m still near it, I immediately opened it to check who it was and saw Fire, Leaf and Wind.
“Do you want to play cards? We’ll team-up again to beat these two,” Fire invited me and showed me the deck of cards that he is holding now.
“Sure!”
