CHAPTER SIX

I woke up early the next day and my first instinct is to go to Stone’s place since I know that the boys will be out up until lunch time. They informed me that it is part of their routine to jog after waking up and chill outside right after that so I won't have a companion in our dorm until they come back.

I started to hear Korean songs even before I reach Stone’s unit so I know that these guys are already awake. They looked so surprise when they saw me at their doorstep.

“We were just talking about you,” Lyndel said – still surprised that I showed up.

“What about me?” I asked curiously because I don’t have an idea as to why they talked about me.

“Wait,” Adlerie said before standing up and going to their collection of cds. “Pick between these two,” he then said and showed me albums of Super Junior and Girl’s Generation.

“Super Junior!” I answered with a hyped up voice.

“But you said yesterday that you love SNSD!” Stone complained as if my decision is that of a big deal.

“I love SNSD but Super Junior’s members are handsome,” I answered back at him. He sighed after that and Greg looked so happy because of my answer. “Wait! What’s with me liking Super Junior’s album over SNSD?” I asked them to brush my curiosity away.

“We made a bet on which group would you prefer better and obviously, Stone lost this one,” Greg explained which made it make sense now.

“Pizza and ice skating, baby!” Adlerie teasingly said to Stone.

“Fine!” Stone surrendered which made all of them celebrate. “Would you like to come, Hell?” He then asked me.

To be honest, I’ve always wanted to try ice skating but no matter how supportive my father is, he never allowed me to try it even just for once. Now that someone will make me experience it, I just can’t find myself answering no.

“Now?” I asked him.

“Yup. Let’s have our lunch there too,” Lyndel suggested which sounds cool for me.

“Sure,” I agreed.

We’re not yet there but I’m already excited to finally try it. I’ve seen people enjoy while playing on ice and the thought that I’ll be the one on their shoe makes me feel so hyped up about it. Will I stumble later? I hope not but thinking that I will is kind of funny already even though I’m not there yet.

We booked a Grab going to the mall. We decided to eat our lunch first before everything else so we entered a restaurant that serves pizza and Stone paid for our bill since he lost their bet. I was a bit hesitant to agree to that because I’m not part of their bet but he insisted so I accepted his offer. After our lunch, we walked by at an arcade and Lyndel and Greg playfully invited all of us inside and I agreed because this is the first time that I am going to bond with these guys so I want to make the most out of it.

Stone played on a claw machine and I watched him even though I really believe that he won’t get one since it’s really a trick but I got surprised when he got one.

“How did you do it?” I amusingly asked him. It’s so unfortunate that the other guys haven’t seen him get a stuffed toy because they were busy with basketball.

“The key to success is to not give up when it seems impossible to do it,” he seriously said which I laughed on because he’s so serious in answering me.

“Wow! Wisdom,” I jokingly said at him and then he laughed. Maybe he realized how deep his answer was to that simple question of mine.

“Take this as a token of our friendship,” he then handed me the stuffed toy that he just got.

“What? You worked so hard to get it,” I tried to reject it but he kept on insisting to give me that.

“I worked hard to give it to you,” he said which made me hug him because of his sweetness. I really appreciate his gesture which proves that I’m really safe whenever I’m with him.

“Thank you, Stone,” I said.

He then invited me to come over to the other guys but I suddenly felt that my head is aching. Maybe it is because of the lighting inside the arcade which I am not used to so instead of coming with him, I decided to sit in the bench just outside the arcade.

“My head is hurting, Stone. I think I need to rest outside,” I told him which he agreed on.

“Good thing that I always have my medicine for headaches with me,” he said and handed me a tablet of medicine. “We’ll be having fun later and your headache might spoil your experience so you better drink this now,” he added and assisted me outside.

“You don’t have to join me here. I’m alright. Go and play with them,” I asked him when we already reached the bench. I don’t want to be the reason why he won’t enjoy this day so I told him to go back inside.

“I’m not really a fan of arcades, you know?” He said as if he’s telling me that he’ll choose to stay with me than go back inside.

I closed my eyes for a while so that I can rest and ease my headache to be ready for my first ice skating experience ever. When I woke up, the boys are already beside me looking like they just got out of the arcade and Lyndel initiated for us to already do the ice skating. Good thing that I’m already feeling better now so I agreed and excitedly join Lyndel in front to lead our way to the ice skating field.

Since it’s my first time trying this activity, I stayed on the side and hold at the railings for me not to fall. The boys are enjoying at the middle which made me envious of their fun so even though I don’t know how to skate yet, I decided to come over to their direction when suddenly, I felt my head hurt again but this time, it is too intense which made me fall into my knees.

The next thing I knew is that everything went black.
