“You keep on insisting to let Hell stay on your unit because you will protect him but why is this always happening?!” My eyes are still closed but I know that it was Greg shouting at this time. “If you’re not capable of protecting our Hans, fucking give him to us!” He added.
“We were supposed to join him! You saw us standing altogether, right?” Heaven shouted in return. “He didn’t agree and insisted on going there alone so we respected it!”
“You know how dangerous it is for him, right? You should always keep in mind that danger follows him now that he attached himself from you! You are so fucking stupid for letting him go alone!” Lyndel then joined their argument and I was shocked when I suddenly heard a loud thud.
It’s making me nervous how they are arguing now because of me but it’s even harder to accept that they ended up hurting each other to defend their points.
I swayed the curtain to see what happened and saw Lyndel down on the floor. I don’t know who punched him but it’s so hard for him to go down on the floor just like that.
Heaven suddenly noticed that I’m already awake and decided to call me.
“Hans!” He exaggeratedly called for the other guys to notice that I’m awake now.
“What’s happening? Why are you arguing?” I asked them all.
“How are you feeling?” Stone asked ignoring what I just asked them. “Good thing that Adlerie saw what happened even before it got worse,” he then added to inform me that it was Adlerie who saved me.
I also ignored what he just informed me to know what they are arguing about.
“Why are you shouting? And why are you blaming them for what happened?” I kept on asking. “It was my fault. I insisted on going there alone so there’s no one to blame but me.”
I saw how they looked down after what I told them.
“You saved me? Thank you,” I acknowledged their help this time. “But you can’t always point your finger just because you feel entitled on doing so. Blame me! It was my fault!”
I can’t prevent myself from shouting this time because of me getting annoyed by this attitude of them.
“Hans,” Heaven tried to stop me because he knows that I won’t stop there.
“No!” I refused to listen to him. “I know that you’re mad at each other for what happened in the past,” I burst out and wasn’t able to control myself.
They looked at me confusedly because of what I said.
“Surprise! I remembered it all,” I sarcastically told them. “You’re mad at each other for losing me but with what you are doing right now, I’m telling you, you can lose me again,” I warned them. “You were separated because you chose Ice over our friendship,” I said to their faces for them to realize who broke this friendship. “I can clearly understand that. But after knowing the truth, your pride stopped you from reconciling this friendship.”
I was about to continue but Stone stopped me.
“No!” He denied. “We don’t want to be friends with someone who enabled your lost and with people who chose him over this friendship,” he clarified their side with anger in his voice. I felt Fire embarrassedly looked down because of that.
That’s exactly what Heaven told me. I guess I’m already that angry because I’ve been saying things just to make my point be heard.
“But he didn’t know that it was Ice’s plan! He was blinded by his admiration so he just followed what Ice told him not knowing that he’s already being used,” I defended him from them. “If you were on his shoe, you would do the same thing too. You even chose her when the others cut her off already, right? But why didn’t you come back when you realized that you made the wrong decision and cut her off from your lives?” I continued on showing to their faces how they ruined our friendship.
None of them was able to answer now. I hope that they are realizing every word that I’m saying.
“You know - I don’t hold any grudge from anyone of you. You just made your own choices and I’m not going to dictate what should’ve been said or done because it’s all in the past,” I clarified myself. “But please, let’s stop blaming each other. You made your choice that’s also questionable but so what? Again, it’s all in the past. What matters now is our present. Maybe that’s the reason why I’m back in your lives.”
I felt like I just made a speech for my seminar that all of them just kept on listening to me.
“I want us back,” I sounded like pleading but I don’t mind. “We fit each other perfectly. We are so balanced and I can’t think of anyone who can join us but us.”
I saw how Lyndel and Greg suddenly tear up because of that. I wanted to initiate a group hug now but my head feels so heavy that I can’t even stand.
After a few moments, the nurse of our clinic entered the room.
“Good thing that you’re awake now,” she said upon entering. “Aside from the chemical that made you asleep, there’s no other chemical added on that formula so you are safe now. But since it’s a sleeping pill and you’re awaken now, expect a headache from time to time but since you have eight princes here, you will surely be in good hands,” she added and joked around but it felt awkward since none of them laughed. I faked a laugh to make her feel validated about her joke. “About those guys who caused you this, they’re already in the guidance office. You can leave now if you want but you can also continue resting here if your head is feeling heavy.”
