CHAPTER TWO – Chores
“Ah good morning” Tom said to max as he yawns slowly
“Good morning” max replied as the two brothers go to their separate bathrooms to freshen up for the day and have their breakfast
“Ok so what do you think we are going to do today, everything seems so boring” tom said as he and his brother went downstairs to have their breakfast
“Have you forgotten, we are grounded” Max replied as they arrive in the sitting room to meet their father and mother
“Morning mom, morning dad” the two brothers said with a fake smile on their faces as they approach the kitchen for breakfast
“Morning boys, eat your breakfast fast you have a lot to do” Mrs. ben replied as she serves the boys their breakfast
“Okay wash the plates tom” max said as he finished mulching the last portion of his food and gives the plate to tom
“I can’t let’s just dump them” Tom said as he approaches the kitchen basin
“Oh no, you boys are going to wash your plates now” Mrs. ben said as she pushes the boys to wash their plates
“Ugh I hate this” Max said with a frown on his face as he washes his plate
“We are paying for our sins bro” Tom replied as he washes his plate
After a while the boys had finished washing their plates, and after several surveys of their parents they finally got a chance to sneak out
“Finally lets sneak out” Max said as the two brothers try to use their windows to escape
“Beep, beep, beep, and beep” an alarm sounds as they try to escape from their window and the boys quickly withdraw from sneaking out
“Who lit up that alarm” Mr. ben said as he walks upstairs to check the boys
“You guys tried sneaking out right, I installed an alarm yesterday to prevent you guys from sneaking out and it’s not going off as long as you don’t have a pass card, smart me right” Mr. ben said as he enters the boy’s room
“Ouch” tom said as he quickly moved far from max and the window to clear suspicion of himself
“You can’t escape your punishment boys now follow me to the lab max you have a lot to do, you too tom go and assist your mother” Mr. ben said as he and max walked to the lab
“This is the main place in my lab, its where all my finished work are kept” Mr. ben said as he and max entered the dirty lab where many fantastic machines were kept, also unusable spare parts
“The first thing you are going to do is find the valuables from this items and dump the invaluable items away” Mr. ben said as he shows max around the lab
“Wow” max said with a smile on his face as he looks at his dad inventions
“Dad after the chores can you show me and teach me about some of your inventions” max said to Mr. ben with a smile on his face
“Yes max” His father replied
His father was so surprised, the last time he remembered max was this happy at him was when he was a little kid, at the boy’s age they didn’t really blend with their parents.
“Okay you are going to assist me at work” Mrs. ben said to tom as she walks him to the hospital where she works
“Umm mom is this place safe” Tom said as they walked into the hospital
“Of course, it’s a place where people who have injuries or health issues are kept and we doctors try our best to help them” Mrs. ben replied
“I know but the part about bisecting, blood, not to talk of cutting bodies” Tom replied
“Don’t be silly tom, we don’t bisect bodies, it’s called a surgery and it’s for people who have been involved in ghastly accidents or have internal injuries in their body, You see we doctors try our best to save the lives of these people and nurse them back to good health” Mrs. ben replied
“I know but the part about blood” Tom replied
“That’s okay, so now let’s go and check the patients in ward” Mrs. ben replied as they go further into the hospital
But as they go further into the hospital, checking the patients in the wards a nurse approached Mrs. ben telling her they have a patient at critical condition and need her help as the nurse, Mrs. ben and tom ran to the surgery room.
“Okay we are here the patient got a cut in the neck and has fainted and is currently losing blood the top doctors are helping another patient, so we need your help to save him” The nurse said to Mrs. ben as they enter the surgery room
“Okay maybe if we stich and clean the wound” Mrs. ben replied
“That’s not going to work the injury is fatal and a vein has been cut” The nurse replied
“What are we going to do then” Mrs. ben said
“I think I know” ben said as he enters the room
“What is this boy doing here call security” The nurse said as she reaches for the land line
“Wait, let’s hear him out he might be able to help” Mrs. ben said to the nurse as she holds her hand
“Okay, But he has to be fast about it” The nurse replied
“Well first of all we will need to clean the wound secondly we are going to use a suture to stich the vein, then we stich the skin back and clean the wound and finally we use a cold compress on the wound for like a minute and then leave the patient to rest” Tom replied as he leaves the room
Five hours (5) later the operation was successful and the patient had been saved the nurse and Mrs. ben was so surprise that tom could actually help to save the patient, it finally looks like the kids are blending with their parent, But they didn’t forget about the sleepover, max was able to manipulate his dad to give him a pass card that him and tom are going to use to escape.
“Okay the sleep over is happening this night max, how are we going to get out of here” Tom said to max as he walks around the room
“Don’t worry I have a pass card the both of use will use it to escape” Max replied put a smile on
“But we have to do it fast the sleep over should be about starting” max said as him and tom use the pass card to escape through their room window, max had changed the value of the pass card to two (2) people instead of one (1)
Once again the boys were able to attend their friends sleep over with the snacks and drinks
“Hey jack, Hey chuck” The two brothers said as they walked into chucks house
“Hey guys what’s up” jack replied
“Nothing much, just avoiding chores” Max replied
“Hmm… what about Jessica” Tom said to max with a smirk on his face
“Hey shut up, dummy” Max replied with a frown on his face
“Guys, guys calm down, hopefully my parents are on a trip and are not coming back until next week” Chuck replied as he shows them into the house
“Well looks like we are going to have a lot of time to ourselves” Max replied
“Guys and guess who’s here” Chuck said to max and tom as someone jumps from the stairs with a scary mask
“Ahhh… a mad psychopathic serial killer” Tom screamed as he carries a vase and throws it on the supposed mad psychopathic serial killer who happened to be dave
“Hey calm down, it’s just dave joking around” Chuck replied as he pats tom on his back
“Hey you almost killed me” Dave said to tom as they started the sleep over
So the boys started their sleep over and this time with full energy, Jack set up his game console, chuck set up his movies Dave set up his router and finally max and tom brought the food, finally the boys started the sleep over by chatting, watching, eating and playing.
But on the sleep over the boys ran out of food and max and tom had to go and get more
“Okay we will be back as soon as we can” Max said as him and tom starts going to the store to get some snacks
“Max are you sure about us going to that store again” Tom said to max as he shivers
“Don’t worry everything is going to be fine” Max replied as the get to the store, but as on getting there they saw a black flashy car in front of the store and called max
“Max I have a feeling about this, remember that movie ‘kidnaps’ they kidnapped every kid who fell for the trick” Tom said to max
Don’t worry they can’t possibly kidnap us in public, plus that’s just a fiction” Max replied as the approaches the car with tom
“We need you two (2) to help us with something” The man wearing the black suit called them closer
But as they got closer, they were sprayed with a chemical that made them sleep off and they were quietly kidnapped by the two other men who came out of the back seat and drove off with full speed.
