Chapter 82: Lilith P.O.V.

Chapter 82: Lilith P.O.V.
They let me leave with the black card still between the dress fabric and my small chest. Part of me, didn’t want to believe what just happened. I know that I needed to leave and I also wanted to leave but why did they have to make this such an easy decision? The only difficult part to the plan is getting rid of the driver which I don’t think will be too difficult with Elaine’s help.

I walked back inside where the body guard was waiting patiently while stuffing his face full of food. For the first time since we had left my personal prison he was smiling and talking with someone from the kitchen staff, if I didn’t know any better I would think he liked her. When he saw me, he immediately stood on his feet and turned back on the scowl that he reserved just for me, “ Ready?” I asked him while I looked between him and the girl.

“Let’s go.” He said, walking behind me like I needed to be accused of stealing something. I know I am planning on running away from the pack but the disrespect that I am feeling from him made me think that there was something more personal going on, something deeper. We walked back up the stairs until we got to the hallway and I paused.

“What is your problem?” I turned and looked at him. My hands balled up in fists. It was all finally getting to me and I don’t know why. I have spent most of my life being treated like nothing more than the scum on the bottom of other peoples shoes. This one body guard barely acknowledging me shouldn’t have bothered me as much as it did.

He sighed, like it was the biggest inconvenience to him. He crossed him arms over his chest, “Nothing, just a bratty girl who doesn’t understand the luxuries that she has.” He clenched his jaw while eh attempted to lecture me on all the ways I have lived a life of ‘luxury’.

“You wouldn’t know the first thing about surviving what I survived and you should think yourself lucky.” I snarled, looking at him with the most disgust as humanly possible.

“Your right, a dress benign ruined sounds just horrendous.” He rolled his eyes. Where the hell does he get the kind of disrespect that he clearly has for me but this could work in my favor right? You don’t keep such a watchful eye on people that you can’t stand.

He huffed and turned his back to me. Fine, but it’s his head when he looses track of me, “I should be ready to leave for the city in twenty minutes or so. We should be there all day so I will be bringing a few bags.” I smiled as nicely as I could at this asshole before I opened my bedroom door and went inside.

The first thing that I did was go under the sink where the towels were and moved them to reveal the mason jar after I took a few drinks I went and grabbed two backpacks. I took a deep breath, “First things first, I need to change my clothes into something more comfortable.” I sighed, going through the closet until I found a pair of black skinny jeans that I paired with a white cropped tank top and a black cardigan. I still needed to look like I wanted to be the Luna so I paired the outfit with a pair of wedged boot heels.

Elaine knocked on the door and walked inside, “What happened?” She asked, trying to do some secret problem solving to understand why I have two backpacks out.

“He is letting us go shopping with our trusted bodyguard that completely despises me. I told our body guard that we need the backpacks for a change of clothes since we will be out all day.” I smiled, lightly. Thai plan seemed way to easy to get away with.

“You are ten times more clever than anybody will ever give you credit for, let’s get packing.” She kissed the side of my head and then unzipped one of the bags. We had stuffed undergarments, sweats, jeans, hoodies and some many other clothing styles in the bags along with shower necessities. Well, what Elaine had considered necessities. I don’t personally consider perfume and fancy body wash a necessity but maybe my way of life isn’t exactly healthy. After that she had packed protein filled bars in my bar for weeks. Isn’t this sanctuary in the mountains just half a days trip?

“Elaine, why are we packing so much? How far exactly is this city?” I asked, trying to be more discreet about this sanctuary that I will be going to without any real information.

“My dear you will be a Luna soon. It’s important to always pack extra in case something happens.” She looked at me. This must have so incredibly hard for her with being the mom to Reynolds and a motherly figure to Sebastian and Troy at the same time. I can’t imagine how she must feel.

We heard a scoff on the other side of the door that just gave me the confirmation that I needed to be as discreet about my plan as possible. I looked around the room, “Elaine do you have a phone?” I asked, even more curious. After a few minutes I explained to her the plan to get the guard to leave us alone before we drug him with sleeping agent at lunch.

“Okay, let’s go.” I smiled, looking at the room that I had such a mixed feeling with. We walked out of the room with our back packs in hand and Julian (the bodyguard) I learned was going to stop at a gas station ten minutes out of the pack and get a drink.

Everything about the car ride was filled with tension and hatred while he remained as focused on the rode as possible until we finally pulled up the gas station outside of the pack, “ okay, girls. I will be right back. I just need to pay for the gas and get some liquids.” He stated and then locked the freaking car doors while he went inside.

“What the hell is wrong with him?” I growled. Elaine shook her head and watched until the door closed behind him, “Okay, so how does the solution work?” Elaine asked, eager to make sure that we wouldn’t get caught. I pulled out a small vial of crushed up valium, “It’s valium. It was in Sienna’s purse and I thought i might need it but theres enough in here to make him black out for half an hour but it takes a few minutes to work.” I shrugged.

“One big problem, he needs to leave his drink with me and then he needs to drink all the contents in the bottle.” I sighed, looking at her for any hope.

“I got it.” She said with so much confidence that I was actually confused.

“What do you mean?” I asked, tilting my head to the side.

“I’ll tell him that I want to meet him in the bathroom and he’ll need all the liquid for this.” She smirked, sitting patiently for him to come back.

“Absolutely not! You loved your husband!” I exclaimed, looking at her with my eyes the size of saucers.

“Sweetheart, the amount of valium he’ll be getting will make him lucky to get a kiss in, now look relaxed.” She gave my leg a light squeeze and then he was there. The sound of the car unlocking and he opened the door, looking at both of us.
