anymore.

That life, she would treat it as repaying the Sterling family for all their years of care.

She didn’t owe anyone anything now.

As for Jasper’s private villa, she definitely wasn’t going back

there.

Originally, Allison had lived with her foster parents and Jasper.

About a year ago, Jasper bought the villa and moved out, and Allison followed him like a lost puppy. She just wanted to live

with him.

She thought Jasper’s villa félt too cold, so she even filled it with small trinkets–either cute or symbolic of her feelings of love.

At that moment, she really believed it was their home together, warm and cozy.

Now, Jasper had ripped out 99 percent of her feelings for him. She’d tear out that last one percent herself, even if it left her bleeding.

Allison went back to school and applied for a dorm room. through her teacher. She moved in as fast as she could.

Chloe had sent her a photo of two people holding hands. She couldn’t see their faces, but she knew that man’s hand right. away. It was Jasper, wearing his Patek Philippe watch. The same one she’d helped him pick out.

Under the photo, Chloe had written: [I’m on a business trip with Jasper–not that I’m as lucky as you.]

Then, Allison got another photo of some fancy hotel entrance, with the message: [Jasper booked this place. God knows what he’s going to put me through tonight! Allison, if you know what’s good for you, you’ll get out of the Sterling family and disappear from his sight.]

Allison’s fingers trembled slightly, but she felt nothing inside.

She used to be the one who went on those business trips with Jasper. They’d eat together, go shopping, hang out, and stay at the same hotels.

Now that Chloe was in the picture, Jasper didn’t need her

anymore.

Allison didn’t delete any of the taunting messages. She saved them all, including the recording from that phone call last time.

Just as she was about to put her phone down, her teacher called.

“I know,” Allison said calmly.

“But didn’t you say you wanted to stay in Los Angeles to be close to your brother? Does he know you’re transferring to New York University?” the teacher asked again, worried she might have second thoughts.

“I don’t need his permission. It’s my decision.”

“Exactly! You can’t just throw your life away like that. I’m so proud of you, and New York University has been holding your spot this whole time! Los Angeles hasn’t had a single perfect SAT score in almost 10 years. It would be a waste to bury someone like you.

Allison had aced her SATs and earned a full ride to New York’s

most prestigious university.

But she chose a regular college in Los Angeles instead because it was close to Jasper’s company.

Jasper had promised he’d take care of her no matter her grades.

So she never told him about her perfect scores, and he just assumed she was a total slacker.

When Jasper got back from his business trip, he handed his suit Packet to the maid, Casey Smith, and glanced upstairs. Did 3h52

Casey looked confused. “Actually, Ms. Williams hasn’t been back since Sir Sterling’s birthday party.”

Jasper’s face went cold. Allison knew he’d taken Chloe on that

business trip, so now she was throwing a tantrum and playing games with him.

What else could this be but her acting out?

Not a single call or text, and now she’s completely MIA. She’s got some serious attitude these days.

“Jasper, why don’t you call Allie? She’s probably waiting for you to come apologize to her. You always do end up making things right with her anyway.” Chloe, who had returned with him from the trip, spoke with a hint of understanding.
