Allison ignored their mocking comments and raised her glass. toward Jasper.
Jasper’s expression remained cold and indifferent. He watched her with a sneer.
Trying to manipulate me? I’ve been too good to her. That’s why she thinks she can walk all over me!
“Jasper, here’s to you. I wish you would find true love and get married soon.” Allison drained her glass in one gulp.
She turned and walked away, leaving behind Jasper’s dark expression and everyone else’s stunned silence.
After Allison left, the private room fell dead quiet.
Chloe stared after her, confusion written all over her face.
Why is that bitch reacting like this? This isn’t what I expected at

In the restroom, Allison was washing her hands when the door swung open. Chloe’s reflection appeared in the mirror. She glared at her with pure hatred.
“Playing hard to get, huh? How pathetic! What’s the point? Jasper only has eyes for me. Didn’t you hear what he said? He might not even marry you now!”
“So what exactly are you trying to tell me? Save your bragging for after you actually make it into the Sterling family.” Allison smirked.
“You!” Chloe’s face twisted before she forced a cold smile. “Don’t worry. As long as I’m around, no one else will get the chance. either–including you!”
With that, she turned and walked away.
Allison stared at her reflection in the mirror. She remembered how many ridiculous stunts she’d pulled in her past life just to become Jasper’s wife. She’d ended up losing her life over it.
This time around, her life goals had nothing to do with Jasper.
Allison walked out of the club and stood under the covered. walkway, watching the light rain fall outside. Her brow creased with annoyance.

Allison shoved her phone back in her pocket and stared out at the rain, her mind drifting.
The first time she’d entered the Sterling Manor, Jasper had given her a bank card. Throughout her entire childhood, he’d looked after her with endless care..

The driver jumped out of the car in a panic.
