“It's not possible”
I usually go with the flow when Alex takes control but this time I had to rebuke the idea. Before we can even start discussing Safest Routes out, strategy and timing.
Alex turns to me with surprise written all over his face and Luca pauses mid sentence.
“We cannot leave La Casa before dawn” I repeat

“La Casa may have tricked us, tested our patience and friendships in different ways” I lock eyes with Alex. His eyes still full of surprise and warriness

I can feel Angelica’s eyes on me.I know what she might be thinking.I have grown up. And truly being here has taught me a lot, After everything that happened under Enya’s nose, the way I was always treated like some experiment. You will expect to me want to just dissappear into the night.

“We are still leaving, but we will leave at a reasonable hour. For la Rosa” I say slowly

“And after that?” Angelica asks gently I don't know when she rose and joined me by the window

“Are you sure this is how you want to move?”Alex asks and I feel a surge of love for him as I turn to him swiftly

“Yes Alex, I am sure. Perhaps we can use Thomas attempt as a cover if he gets there before us.” I pause weighing the pros and cons “If we approach them quietly while they are distracted then we can get in and out.”
Luca nods slowly finally seeing my point of view
Lucy cuts in “Either way the prophecy still points at a magical war being carries out here” she adds carefully
I want to say to her of course I am aware of that too, I can feel it stirring but we dont have a timeline. Instead I just say.
“We can cross that bridge when we get there”
We will definitely be back here to deal with that properly, but that is not a battle for now

“We will still be leaving tomorrow but after speaking with Enya.”
Luca studies me “In private?”
“Yes she won't want what I have to say to be heard by the entire coven”
