Chapter 108 Meeting(2)
Alessia's POV
Taking deep calming breaths I slowly retract my power and close my fists extinguishing the flame. Then I turn to Lucy again “Do you think it was Enya?
Lucy blinks a few times "Even if it's not her it is definitely someone within the inner circle and She must be aware of it"
Silence fills the room before I can ask another question the door opens. I do not have to turn around to know who just walls in. The hairs on my hands are standing on the end, My nipples tighten painfully against my t shirt.The room feels as if the air has been sucked out of it and replaced with pulsing static electricity.
Only one person can do this to me.
It's Alex and probably Luca
Leaning back in my chair I keep my back to them as they shut the door and proceed into the room quietly.He takes the single chair while Luca settles between Angelica and Lucy. His raw magnetic presence hits me full on as I feel dizzy for a moment thank God I am seated I would have fallen down.

Even with everything that happened he can still make my body respond to him so strongly
"Lucy" Luca says gently "You are certain this room is secure right?"
"Yes Luca it is" she replies coolly and it has an in built magic security system "If I hadn't allowed you in you would not have even found us, only High council members can walk in at will"
As they discuss I feel Alex's Hot scorching eyes on me as if he wants to burn me inside out.
Even hotter than my flame
It takes everything inside me to not raise my head up and look at him.
"Alessia will you please listen to me now?" He says Quietly "I know you will be needing to leave soon"
"What could you possibly have to say to me" I answer him calmly even though my inside is a bloody mess
"I am here to get answers from Lucy not to converse with you Alex"
Alex flinches and clenches his fists, I watch him from the side of my eye refusing to meet his gaze head on.
Lucy cuts into the tension brewing like coffee between us. "But Princess he has everything to do with it, he is the person that was framed"
I look at her sharply "You should hear any updates I might have Signore" she informs Alex "And the princess needs to hear the whole truth"
Alex tilts his head and nods "Please go ahead and tell us what you have found out so far"
"Like I told you last night you were drugged" Lucy says "Your third cup was mixed with a substance that was spelled. The spell was triggered immediately you drank the wine"
He clenched his jaw so tight I am sure it hurts him. Alex runs his hand through his hair I “ I fucking knew it"
Finally I look at him as Anger clogs my throat almost choking me. "Even if you were drugged! Did you have to let those women touch you that was! Why were you so willing? Did you-"
"Alessia please I couldn't control my actions" He interrupts his voice shaky for the first time since I met him "I didn't realise what was happening until you walked in and by then it was too late"
I scoff turning toward the fireplace again "I dont want excuses, I want proof"
Luca leans back clearing his throat once "The two of you need to cut it out we are not here to fight. Lucy Do you know who is responsible?"
"I still dont know yet" she replies honestly "But it was an intentional move meant to disrupt the princesses advancement in her magic lessons"
Alex slams the center table making me jump in my seat "And I was the perfect scape goat"
"I am afraid so Signore" Lucy says "because of the bond you have."
Huffing "I have had enough of this"
"Thats okay Lucy" I say sharper than I intended "I still want more proof before we treat it as sabotage”
The room falls quiet once more.
Alex stands up and walks toward me getting on his knees between my legs. My heart stirs but I refuse to back down.
"Alessia please I never-"
"Stop"I cut in "stop calling me like that"
He pauses still kneeling in front of me. "I still need some breathing space from you" I continue my voice cold as ice whether you were framed doesn't change what I saw with my own two eyes.
Alex holds his head for a moment before getting up returning to his chair. Lucy watches us for a moment with a blank face
"Lucy I am assuming we are done here?" I say finally "I have to get to the magic room"
Suddenly a knock echoes against the door as I look at her curiously.
Who again did she give access to the room?
I turn to her in shock "You have another person access while we are having a meeting?"
She shakes her head looking at Angelica first then me "I did not its probably Enya and Orzo, besides a simple location spell , will tell them your location princess"
Before I can answer the door opens and Orzo stands by the doorway. Enya is leaning on his right her face, a beautiful fake, glacial mask as usual. Her gaze moves around everyone in the room before settling on me .
"Princess"Orzo Says "We need to go to the magic room for your lesson"
Enya's lips curves into a small smile “ I hope you enjoyed breakfast today?"
I am flabbergasted I didn't expect that from her , she is so damn petty and a drama queen too.
My fire stires in my belly but I pull it down not wanting to give her the satisfaction of knowing just how her comments affected me.
"Yes Enya" I reply my tone even "it was quite entertaining"
Straightening my shoulders, I lift my chin and face her waiting to hear if she will make reference to the breakfast again.
I won't clower in your midst
That Alessia is long gone
She says nothing pursing her lips.
That's better at least you know when to shut up. Standing up I brush off imaginary dust from my clothes then turn to them once more "You can lead the way" I say
Walking past Alex's chair I feel His eyes burning into my back filled with unresolved tension
The issue is far from over but for now I have to calm down and have my magic lesson.
