Chapter 105 Breakfast
Alessia's POV
I wake up bright and early , sunlight spilling into the room .I remain in bed for a few second staring at the celling .Turning around I notice Angelica is still snoring softly on her side her hair spilled all ove the pillow .
\-Alex is supposed to be in bed with me not her ,All of a sudden everything that happened last night flashes through my head in quick succession.

I have to get to the bottom of things sooner or later buy first ?Breakfast and lesson with Enya and Orzo .I will use the opportunity to also ask her a few questions of my own. Dragging myslef out of bed I head into the bathroom ,grabbing my wash bag and change of clothing huming an old latin song under my breath .
After my bath I quickly clean up ans dress in blue Jeans and a Pink t shirt .Stepping out of the bathroom I find Angelica wide awake and leaning on the headboard as she watches tv.
"Hey Alessia Good morning ! How did you sleep?" She asks as another yawn escapes her lips I laugh settling in on the sofa.
"Better than you from the looks of it -" I tease her as she laughs "the bathroom is all yours." I gesture to the door. She jumps out of bed and heads for the door.
“Thank you I wont be long “
Turning to the window , I open it to let the fresh air in and I peek , I notice some of the servants carrying baskets of fresh produce into the castle. Some standing under the lemon bushes and talking their voices too low for me to hear. Everything is being done as normal like nothing happened last night .I guess they dont really care for Alex after all
Stepping away I settle on the chair as a knock sounds on the door .It must be Mara they don't know I have an internal Map of the entire coven in my head and My instincts is telling me to just play along with them . The less they know the better
"Come in" I say
Mara steps into the room just as Angelica comes out of the bathroom dressed in a black and white dress .She nods at Mara in greeting and walks over to join me on the sofa.
Mara faces me “Good Morning Princess ,Are you both ready to leave for breakfast ?” She asks gently
"Good Morning , yes you can lead the way" I reply as we both stand and follow her out of the room shutting the door quietly behind me . We walk down the halls together Mara in front me and Angelica behind . My power hums in my belly, awake and ready to strike if needed .
As we get closer to the dining hall The coven members voice gets louder ,everyone seems to be talking and laughing at once. I feel a pang of envy, ignorance is definitely bliss .Straightening my shoulders I turn to Angelica “I will like to meet Lucy after breakfast." Angelica slows down pausing beside me "For sure you will after breakfast."
she murmurs "Lets eat quietly and observe them all”
I nod in agreement, I don't mind studying them as she has planted a seed of doubt that seems to have taken root in my mind.
Mara pushes the doors wide open and I look around the hall searching until my eyes meet him across the distance .For a moment everything freezes. Suddenly it feels like it is only me and him in the room .The air between us is almost electric .His eyes hold mine captive. I can see that he has bags under his eyes and a day-old scraggly beard. He looks as if he barely slept a wink which makes me purr in satisfaction. My fire once again stirs in my belly responding to my heightened emotions
He didn't sleep well, that is excellent No rest for the wicked . As I continue to drink him in he moves to stand and my pulse starts to race as Luca whispers something to him .He hesitates before sitting back down . That's better lets not give them a show .
I walk towards the high table with my head held high not sparing another person a glance until I reach my seat near Alex and slip in while Angelica settles opposite Luca.
Alex turns to me fixing me with a sad pupplu dog look that makes me want to melt in a puddle but I resist "Good Morning Alessia" his voice is gruff and strained.
My heart twists with agony as I lock my eyes with him once more. "Good morning Signor Ferrini."
I reply smoothly .Feeling hot and cold all of a sudden .I hear Lucas' sharp intake of breath but I ignore him.
"Did you sleep well ?"Alex asks his voice low as he leans close to me .My breath catches in my throat as I wet my lips “Yes I did”
Looking up my eyes clashes with Frederic's intense gaze as he stares at me like I am breakfast, an involuntary shiver escaping me .He better not try anything today especially now that me and Alex are at odds if not he will appear guilty .Perhaps he is the one that drugged Alex. After all he has motive Alex did beat the shit out of him when he came to our room some nights ago.
Conversations around the table slowly come to a stop as Enya rises gracefully as ever in a lovely green gown . She looks around the table amd pauses on me for a short while , a small smile on her face “Good Morning to you all ,Lets eat .”She claps her hand together and sits down gracefully.
Again she looks at me for a moment giving me a calculated look before looking away quickly but I had already seen her . I wonder what exactly that is about .Before I can ponder further, breakfast materializes on my plate as the servants move around pouring tea abd coffee .Keeping my eyes on my plate I take a deep breath as I pick up my spoon with shaky hands Alex sitting stiffly by my side not making a move to eat . I takes all my concentration to focus on my meal but I do it , I have a long day ahead. is very vital .
\-Not only do I have my sedond lesson
\-I have some digging to do
\-I shall get the answers I meed even if its the last thing I do today.
