Chapter 113
Ànna
The place was dark with only a single shack in the middle of the wood. There seemed to have been a cabin here before but it had either been destroyed or demolished.
I made my way to the unassuming shed.
It was just as unassuming on the outside as it was on the inside.
There were tools like shovels scattered around.
Some looked damaged while others were laid on the table.
I checked my watch and it was five minutes after the time we were supposed to meet.
I was about to leave to search the rest of the woods when I heard a familiar growl from behind
I turned around and my eyes widend when I saw a 200 pound beast rush towards me.
I screamed as it pounced on me,.it's sharp canines drooling. It's eyes red with hatred or hunger.
I could feel my heart about to jump out.
"Please," I pleaded. It responded by growling at me, it's eyes even more red than before.
Something instantly changed in the eyes of the monster, it almost looked like it was amused. I couldn't be sure.
Suddenly the sound of a door opening caught both our attention and my eyes flickered to the direction of the door.
"Let her go, Celia,"
A voice said and my eyes widened in shock as the beast on top of me transformed back into a human.
The bitch that hated me so much.
"What was that about not being afraid?" She chuckled, her expression on of pure wicked amusement.
"Get off her, Celia. The boss wants her now." He said and Celia chuckled, shaking her naked beast in my face before standing up and walking over to a dark corner.
I glanced at the man that had come to save me, panting.
Only his waist up was visible, his legs were under ground.
What was with these people and secret basements?
With a sigh, I pulled myself off the ground and glanced at Celia, she was now putting on a robe and walking towards me.
"Well, are you coming?" She asked.
She was going to be the first bitch I killed once I was finally ready and I had enough amo.
Without saying a word, I followed the blonde man.
He led me into an underground palace that looked nothing short of absolutely magnificent and cozy.
There was a lamp in every corner and it happened to be cool.
How the hell was this place even built?
We walked through a long hallway before getting to a huge double door.
The blonde man opened the door and I walked through it.
There were two maroon couches placed in an L shape against each other.
A coffee table sat in the middle and there were several Vials on the table that looked suspiciously like the one with me.
The walls were devoid of any pictures, only a few art pieces that resembled the ones at the iron Vine mansion.
As far as laits go, I guess this is one of the best I had seen but I didn't particularly care about the decor. I was more interested in something else. Gathering as much possible Intel on these bastards I could use against them.
There was no silver in sight. Only a couple of vials or potions on the table.
I made a mental note to take some and give it to Timothy to check what was in it with a forensic.
It looked like the vial I had found in one of my mother's belongings.
"Ah, I see you're here." I heard Azeal's voice behind me.
I turned around and glared daggers at him.
"Oh, don't look so happy to see me, my love," he said and pulled me into a hug.
I pujswd him away and to me surprise, he let me go.
Not typical kidnapper behavior.
"Ah, well eventually you'll get used to me. In fact, I think you'll eventually come to love us," he said, bumping my nose with his index finger like he was playing with a toddler.
I didn't say anything. I knew whatever I said was going to put me in big time trouble and that was the last thing I wanted.
"Hsve a seat," Azeal guided me towards one of the sofa, offering Mr a seat.
Duth a sugh, I sat down.
"What would you like to eat?"
"Look, thid isn't a social call. Tell what I want to know, so I can leave,"
Azeal nodded on understand.
"So direct." He murmured. "Alright fine. Where is the merchandise?"
He asked.
"Where is my information?"
"Merchandise first,"
Exhaling, I took out the documents from my jacket and handed over to him.
He opened it and flipped through the pages, his grin widening.
"What's in that anyway?" I asked.
"Not your concern yet..."
I started at him with raised brows and then shrugged.
"Tell me what you know about my mother," I glared at him.
Azeal gave me a look and then chuckled.
"Your mom and I were friends. We grew up together. She was one amazing woman I'll tell you that," he chuckled and his eyes stared at the distance as of remembering something.
"Do you know how much you look like her? It's like staring at her."
"Get to the point. How do you know my mother and how is she connected to the werewolves,"
"Ah, yes. Celia told me you'd found out," he said.
"Yes, I know what you are."
"What Duncan and I are..." he clarified.
"Yes," I gtittwd out.
He smirked.
"You still love him now that you know what he is?"
"Tell me what I came here for, Azeal." I glared.
"Such a stonewall." He chuckled, shaking his head.
God, I hated him. He was treating me as a joke.
"Unfortunstely, Aviana, you're asking a question that I can't answer right now,"
"Can't answer or won't,"
"Won't," he finally said, all signs of his jovial attitude gone.
"Why? I did what you told me to,'
"Well, yes but this is only the top of the iceberg. Everything you bring an information to me, you get bits and pieces of information of your own. And in no time, you'll know who your mother truly was and I'll have my revenge. We are on the same team. We both want the same thing,"
I wahrdf to scream but somehow, I managed to control myself.
"Fine, but you better give me something substantial or consider the deal off,"
"Right."
"Now, let's start from the beginning,'
