Chapter 6

I left her in my room as I immediately went to my office. I spotted my Beta doing my works. I noisily slump down at the couch.

He looks at my way, his brows furrowed when he saw my expression.

"Something happened? Rejection? Or she's not your Mate?" He asked when I heard the last statement he said I gave him a deadly glare.

"Woah! Okay. Calm down. She's definitely your Mate." he said and smiled slightly.

I held my head as I said " She is mine but she doesn't think I'm his Mate. She doesn't feel the pull nor scent me. She said she doesn't have a wolf."

"What?! No wolf?" my beta exclaimed.

I nodded.

Some questions wander in my mind. How did it happen that she dont have a wolf? Has something happened to her before.? Thinking about it makes me want to kill that person whoever hurt her.

Maybe I should check what pack she is from.

"Give me the record of her." I said to my Beta and he immediately looked for it.

He's holding a Red folder when he gets near me and gives it to me.

I opened the folder and was surprised at what I read.

She's an Elder!

Seeing her name made me realise. I haven't asked her about it. Layla… pretty name for my Mate.

"She's an Elder?" My Beta asked and look at me questioning

I nodded. What I don't understand is what happened to her wolf.? Maybe the Elders government knew about it.

"Who sent her here?" I asked at my Beta

"The Head Of Elders Alpha" my beta replied.

"Send him here." I ordered.

If they're the reason why my Mate lost her wolf then I will punish them.

After the King brought me to this enormous room. I just lay in bed and stared at the ceiling. Thinking about what I do to deserve this situation. First of all, I don't want a Mate. I just want to be an Elders. I definitely don't want to be a Queen!

I'm so pissed off but I don't have the power to defy the King and I miss Miya already. She definitely will be eager to hear what's happening to me here but I don't understand why I can't mindlink her anymore.

I grunt angrily and jump out of the bed.

"I can't just stay here and do nothing. Better to roam around this gigantic palace instead" I mumble.

I open the door and take a peek from left to right to see if there are guards but none so I went out and walked around.

I humming while I walk as I view the pictures in the hallway. I even saw the King large picture and even his family.

His family is dead though. There was this news that they were ambushed when they had a tour in deep forest. It's not allowed to go there anymore and I haven't tried to go there. Then, when the Beta's parents went there, they only saw the King who was under the tree unconsciously.

Made me think that at a young age, he lost his family. We're in the same shoes though. At Least as he said we're Mate, we also have a similarity.

I was out of my mind when someone pulled me and I bumped into a hard chest.

"Aw" I exclaim and look up who's the person who pulled me and it was the King.

He's still holding my hand.

"It's dangerous roaming around when you're unmarked. Someone might snatch you away from me" he said and gritted his teeth as he mention the "snatch"

"That happened?"I ask.

We Elders are not really into Mate and only be ordered when it's about peace and order. So I am not really knowledgeable about this and definitely having a Mate is new to me.

"Yes.." He said huskily.

"That was sexy and hot"

My eyes went wide and looked around if there's someone with us.

"What's the problem?" He asked and I went back facing him.

"Did you hear someone saying" that was sexy and hot"? I asked.

He smirked.

He pulled me in his embrace and my face was near his chest as he was much taller than me.

I try to move back a little but his embrace is so tight.

"So, I'm sexy and hot?" He said smirking and amazement was clear in his eyes.

"W-what? No! , I mean yeah but kinda no. I mean, It wasn't me who said that." I said and kinda awkward with him literally staring at me with love? in his eyes.

"That's confusing. Well, Love, no one is here beside us two." he said and rubbed his nose with mine.

I was surprised and couldn't help but feel the heat in my cheeks. Definitely, I'm blushing.

"Love? You called me Love." I mumble in dazed.

"Yes Love and you're so pretty when you're blushing." he teased me.

Okay.. I admit I am blushing but what's with him being so.. Loving?

I moved away and cupped my face.

"What's with you? You're being…"

"Loving?" He added

I nodded.

He smiled. Okay. The King is really handsome. I admit that and he is definitely bipolar too.

"Well.." He moves near me and cups my face and caresses it.

"I just want to show my love to you as I am your Mate and you're mine." He added.

I don't know but this time when he touched me, I felt a little tingled.

"Are you hungry? Wanna eat something? Do something? Ask something?" He questioned me.

"King-"

"Call me Clint love."

Oh. He's letting me call him by his first name. His full name is Clint Vervez

"Well, Clint, can I ask for my friend to come here?" I politely ask.

"It depends if your friend is a girl."He said and folded his arms and his face turned back to seriousness. King bipolar he is.

I feel like laughing cause I'd made a nickname for the King but I stop it cause he might get mad especially He is back on being "serious''.

"A she." I said. Staring straight to his eyes. Made me notice his eyes is deep blue with shade of silver at the outer. Looking at his face, sculpted perfect jaw, pointed sharp nose and his body, definitely built. He is a hunk, just by looking with that biceps and-

"Done ogling?" I was out of the trance when I heard that question and went back on looking at his face and there goes the smirk and his eyes seem like teasing me.

I cleared my throat and proper myself.

"I'm not ogling." I said to him.

"I'm just appreciating." I added and looked at the other way.

I went back to looking at him when I heard him laughing and I was in awe. This is a first.

"Okay. An appreciation then." He chuckled

"Who's your dear friend love? ." He asked and still the smile is plastered on his face.

Bipolar.

"She's Miya Gioves." I said.

"Then you'll meet her later love." He said.

Never knew this would be easy but having Miya with me will definitely save me from being bored. Also, to know why I can't link and some news in Elder place.
