Chapter 82 She Wants to Personally Kill Amelia
Rachel suddenly attacked from behind, hitting Amelia on the head with a rock, causing her to bleed and pass out.
Both Jenny and Saul were startled.
Saul's eyes widened in disbelief as he looked at his usually gentle and obedient niece. "Rachel, what the hell are you doing?"
"Saul, Mom, I just can't stand how Amelia treats you guys anymore!"
Rachel threw the rock to the ground, her eyes red and her voice choked with tears. "She's just a nobody, yet she dares to lay a hand on Mom and openly defy and threaten Saul. She has absolutely no respect for you!"
"It's because Mom's been too lenient with her, and our family's treated her too well, that she's had the audacity to step all over you and Saul."
Rachel turned to Jenny. "Mom, with Kevin, Chris, and Tobias all out of the house today, no one's gonna protect her. You have to teach Amelia a lesson."
"Why don't we lock her in the basement wine cellar for the night? We can tell Kevin and the others that she went out with friends. That'll make her think twice next time."
Rachel's every word seemed to be for Jenny and Saul's sake, but in reality, ever since she saw Amelia's name on the piano competition list, she had made up her mind.
She absolutely could not let Amelia participate in the piano competition!
That night at the Williams family's party, Amelia's performance of "Summer Forest" completely overshadowed her, making her own performance fade into insignificance.
Rachel still couldn't understand how Amelia, who couldn't even afford a piano, could have such exceptional piano skills.
If Amelia really participated in the piano competition, even if Rachel gave it her all, she had no chance of winning against her.
She had to win first place in this piano competition.
Winning first place was the only way to secure a spot in Aurora College's special talent program, so she couldn't tolerate any possibility of someone else surpassing her.
The only way was to make sure Amelia couldn't compete tomorrow night.
After hearing Rachel's words, Jenny glanced at the unconscious Amelia on the ground and took a deep breath.
Jenny had long wanted to teach this arrogant Amelia a lesson!
She was Rupert's daughter, but she acted as if she were a noblewoman. Who knows what tricks she used to charm Jenny's sons in such a short time, making them all protect her.
Kevin had always been around.
As the head of the Martinez family, Kevin had always protected Amelia, so Jenny didn't dare to openly do anything to her. After all, if Kevin got really angry, even Jenny was afraid.
But now, no one else was home.
If they really locked Amelia in the basement for the night and said she went out, no one would find out.
However, Jenny was still a bit hesitant. "But we'll have to let her out eventually. What if she runs to Kevin and tells him..."
"Mom, we just deny it," Rachel said. "Kevin is your son and my brother. Would he believe an outsider over us?"
Rachel knew very well that if Amelia was let out and told Kevin that Rachel knocked her out and locked her in the basement, Kevin would believe her.
But Rachel had no intention of giving Amelia that chance.
Because the moment she hit Amelia with the rock, Rachel had already made up her mind.
Rachel wanted Amelia dead.
She used to be the only daughter of the Martinez family, always in the spotlight, adored by Kevin and the others, and the star at school.
But since Amelia arrived, she had stolen everything Rachel was proud of!
When Amelia was first brought to River City, Rachel had hired an assassin to kill her, but somehow she had escaped.
This time, Rachel would do it herself!
Saul immediately looked at Jenny. "Jenny, Rachel's right."
"This girl's only been in the Martinez family for a few days, and she's already defying you. If you don't teach her a lesson, she'll never respect you."
With that, Saul picked up the unconscious Amelia and threw her over his shoulder.
"Locking her up for one night won't hurt her. It'll just teach her a lesson."
Under Jenny's instructions, Saul carried Amelia downstairs toward the basement wine cellar.
Meanwhile, Rachel picked up Amelia's dropped backpack, planning to toss it somewhere out of sight so Kevin and the others wouldn't find it when they returned.
As she bent down to grab it, she noticed a piece of sheet music sticking out from the unzipped part of the bag.
"What's this..."
Rachel took a deep breath and pulled the sheet music out, her eyes widening as she read it.
It was a piano composition, and just by looking at it, she could tell it was of masterful quality.
But she was familiar with all the works of famous composers, and this piece, titled "Mich Drowning," was one she had never seen before.
If this sheet music was in Amelia's backpack, could it be that Amelia composed it?
Rachel never expected Amelia to be a composer as well.
She had been cooped up for the past few days, racking her brains to create an original piano piece, but nothing she wrote seemed good enough.
She couldn't believe Amelia had already composed a new piece of such high quality.
But Rachel's first reaction wasn't jealousy; it was excitement.
If Amelia couldn't compete tomorrow and this sheet music was in Rachel's hands, she could use it for the competition.
Rachel took a deep breath.
She ran upstairs to her room, placed the sheet music on her piano, and began to play.
As she played through the piece, she became more and more excited.
It was brilliant!
Both experts and laypeople would be amazed!
If she used this piece in the competition tomorrow, the championship would be hers!
Rachel took a deep breath to calm herself. Her determination grew stronger. For her to win the championship and reclaim her former glory, Amelia had to die.
Rachel quickly put the sheet music away and ran back downstairs.
By then, Jenny and Saul were no longer in the living room.
Rachel looked around, then quietly walked down the stairs.
In the dark, cramped basement wine cellar, the smell of wine mixed with the damp, musty odor. Amelia lay on the ground, still unconscious.
Rachel covered her nose in disgust, then took a deep breath, her eyes cold as she gripped the towel in her hand and approached Amelia.
