Chapter 81 Rachel's Sneak Attack
Amelia sat at the grand piano on the top floor, composing a new piece with a relaxed, carefree expression as inspiration flowed through her fingertips.
It took her only half an hour to create a new song, a feat that only a genius could achieve.
For the next hour, she lounged on the couch in the gym on the second floor, admiring Michael's impressive physique as he worked out with intense focus, sweat pouring down his body.
There was no denying that Michael spoiled her. He never refused any of her requests and always remembered them.
Before dinner, Michael drove her back to the Martinez family home.
As soon as she stepped through the door, Amelia heard Saul's angry voice coming from the living room. "That shameless girl!"
"She's been bullying Rachel to the point of depression, and now her actions are all over the internet, disgracing the Martinez family."
"Rachel has won countless piano competitions through her skill. What does that girl have? Sleeping with old men at such a young age?"
"Shameless! A daughter of a whore is a whore too. If you don't discipline her, who knows what trouble she'll cause next, dragging the Martinez family down with her."
"Thank God she's not your biological daughter. If she were, I'd have to hang my head in shame here in Border Ridge City!"
Amelia looked up to see the man speaking on the couch.
Saul, who looked to be in his forties, had a square face with thick eyebrows and full lips, resembling Jenny by about eighty percent. He was red-faced and breathing heavily from his rage.
Judging by his appearance and age, this must be Jenny's brother, Saul.
Next to Saul sat Rachel, looking pitiful with red, tear-filled eyes. She clung tightly to Saul as if she had finally found protection.
Amelia's eyes narrowed slightly.
Somehow, Jenny had managed to make the red rash on Rachel's face, caused by the hibiscus powder, disappear in just a few days. Rachel's face was back to normal.
Saul's tirade was directed at Jenny, who sat across from him with a livid expression.
A servant, sensing the tension, coughed twice to announce Amelia's presence.
The people on the couch finally noticed Amelia standing in the living room, having returned unnoticed.
Jenny's already sour expression darkened further as she glared at Amelia. "You shameless girl, how dare you walk into the Martinez family home?"
Jenny sprang to her feet and stormed over to Amelia. "What have you been doing all day? Sleeping with old men again? Do you have any shame at all?"
Chris had only stayed at the house for three days before returning to his apartment. Kevin wasn't home from work yet, and Tobias was out for the day. That left only Jenny, Rachel, and Saul at home.
Jenny raised her hand to slap Amelia, but Amelia quickly caught her wrist.
Amelia glared at Jenny coldly. "If you've got something to say, just say it. What gives you the right to hit me?"
Jenny took a deep breath. "What gives me the right? I'm the mistress of the Martinez family, and you're supposed to call me mother!"
"You shameless girl, you've disgraced the Martinez family! Doing such disgraceful things and then standing here with your head held high, questioning why I want to hit you?"
"In ancient times, I would have every right to beat you to death!"
Jenny tried to pull her hand back, but Amelia's grip was surprisingly strong. Jenny struggled to free herself but couldn't.
She gritted her teeth and used all her strength, but Amelia suddenly let go, causing Jenny to nearly fall over. She stumbled and took a moment to regain her balance.
Saul was shocked that Amelia dared to stand up to Jenny in the Martinez Mansion.
He had thought Amelia only bullied Rachel in secret, but he hadn't expected her to be so bold in the living room.
"You shameless girl, what are you doing?"
Saul stood up abruptly. "A daughter of a whore, just as uneducated as her mother. You need a good lesson!"
Saul strode over, raising his arm to slap Amelia.
Amelia stepped back and suddenly held up her phone.
"I recorded it."
Saul paused. "What did you say?"
"I recorded you trying to hit me."
Amelia stared directly at Saul, her gaze cold. "A professor at Aurora College, a man in his forties, hitting a teenage girl in his own home."
"If I post this video online, it will damage Mr. Jenkins's reputation, no matter the reason."
Saul's hand froze in mid-air, disbelief in his eyes. "Are you threatening me?"
Amelia continued to look at Saul. "I'm just stating a fact. What you do next is up to you, Mr. Jenkins."
Saul took a deep breath, his hand trembling with anger for the first time in his life. Jenny, who had been humiliated earlier, was now seething with rage.
The atmosphere in the living room was tense.
No one noticed that while Amelia was talking to Saul, Rachel had quietly picked up a heavy decorative stone from the house.
Just as Amelia sensed something off and turned around, Rachel lifted the stone and brought it down hard on Amelia's head.
There was a dull thud.
The human body is fragile.
Amelia staggered forward a few steps, and within seconds, blood began to trickle down from the back of her head, soaking into her hair and running down her neck.
The intense dizziness made Amelia's vision go black. She didn't even have time to summon her inner strength before she closed her eyes and collapsed to the floor.
Rachel watched Amelia fall unconscious, unable to suppress a deep breath of excitement, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
Finally, after enduring for so long, she had made the girl who had been stepping on her since she arrived at the Martinez Mansion suffer!
