Chapter 124 The Dragon of Triangle
"Alessia," Giulio said with a heavy tone, "Outsiders will always be outsiders. Only we, the four great families of Freton City, are the true masters here."
"Our families hold deep-rooted power in Freton City. Nicholas will never gain the upper hand. In fact, we already have a plan to deal with him."
Alessia seemed interested, "What is the plan?"
"Well, we will discuss that once you show your loyalty. After all, you have received help from Nicholas before," Giulio chuckled, "For today, I will give you a gift."
"A gift?"
"Yes!" Giulio slowly uttered a name, "Henry Miller!"
After noticing Alessia's expression change dramatically, he laughed and said, "I know this scoundrel has insulted you before. To show the strength and fortitude of our alliance, we will strike at Henry tonight. Once we succeed, we will present his body to you, to prove our words are not empty."
Giulio felt pleased with his idea. Seven years ago, under the influence of drugs, Henry had indeed raped Alessia. He figured Alessia must despise Henry. Killing Henry would not only make his daughter give up on him but also make Alessia grateful.
Lennox was a tricky old fox, but Alessia was just a delicate young woman. With some minor tricks, it would be easy to win her over.
As he casually glanced at Alessia, Giulio felt a long-missed heat rising in his lower abdomen.
‘That damned woman, Anna; I'll kill her sooner or later.’
‘Alessia is attractive and young, and she's also the head of the White family. If I can get her, she will be far better than Anna.’
With his mind aflame, Giulio didn't notice the hint of worry flashing in the woman's eyes across from him.
——
"Giulio wants to deal with me? I know, don't worry about it."
On the other end of the phone, amidst the faint music of a banquet, Henry strained to make out what Alessia was saying.
"Don't worry, I have it under control."
Henry repeated this before the other end hung up.
"Where are they now?" Henry asked.
Stefano respectfully answered, "They have reached a place less than ten miles from the sanatorium."
"They are somewhat capable, for having found their way here," Henry nodded.
Stefano held back a laugh, "They wouldn't have found this place without Phoenix guiding them. It's really surprising that they came from Triangle and even hired an intelligence organization to investigate you. But they don't know that the head of the intelligence agency is under your command."
"All I can say is they are too cautious. They chose Phoenix, the number one organization in the industry. Otherwise, even if they searched Freton City for a year, they wouldn't find my location."
Henry also found this amusing.
"Phoenix is here too?"
"Yes, boss. Phoenix said she was worried and insisted on following their team to protect you," Stefano said helplessly, "I think she's desperate to see you and even used this as a clumsy excuse."
Henry smiled, "That's okay. I haven't seen Phoenix in a long time."
"Let's go, let's go greet them."
——
In the dense jungle, a team dressed in camouflage was moving at high speed.
Tree trunks and thorns blocked their path, but there were dedicated people at the front, responsible for clearing the way.
Their numbers were not small, but the noise they made while moving was minimal, not even disturbing the birds nearby.
"According to the map, we're getting close," said the man in the lead. He was tall and had thick paint on his face, along with numerous scars. He nodded as he compared the map with the landscape ahead.
"Capital, I think we're being too cautious. Isn't he just a retired soldier? We don't need our whole team. We can take him out with just a few guys" a subordinate hesitated before complaining.
Capital sighed, "Antonio, have you lost your vigilance since leaving Triangle? I think you need a reminder."
Antonio, who had just spoken, froze for a moment. He felt a chill, pulled out a small knife, and with a flash of cold light, cut off one of his own fingers. Even though the pain made him sweat, he didn't make a sound and continued to move forward.
Capital glanced at him and nodded, "Good, when you're on a mission like this, seeing your severed finger might make you more cautious."
"Yes!" Antonio replied in a deep voice.
"Don't underestimate this mission. As far as I know, many assassins from Diony Country have come to Freton City, but they have all mysteriously disappeared. From some clues, I suspect it has something to do with this guy named Henry."
"Even though those assassins are far less powerful than our Corpse Mercenary Group, it still proves that Henry is not just a simple man."
"Moreover," Capital looked at the woman in red at the end of their team, who seemed out of place with them. There was fear in his eyes, but also a faint obsession, "Do you really think that Lady Phoenix is here for a leisure trip?"
As Capital said this, he was still full of doubts.
They were all die-hard soldiers raised by the Costa family from a young age. Each was brave and skilled, thriving in the gunfights and battles of Triangle, growing rapidly.
Now, back in Freton City, he felt a sense of disdain for the place.
Even the Tiger Gang, which he used to fear, seemed to him now like a group of well-equipped live targets.
But the woman who called herself Phoenix, trailing behind their team, cast a shadow over his heart.
There were nearly a thousand forces of all sizes in Triangle, with new ones emerging and old ones dying out every day.
This was even more the case in the field of intelligence agencies.
But since a few years ago, when this woman named Phoenix, with her followers, established herself in Triangle and connected the nearby three countries and even the hidden major powers through Triangle's network, she became the most terrifying woman in the world of underground intelligence, not just in Triangle.
Some say that the never-changing red dress on Phoenix was dyed daily with fresh human blood...
When they, the Corpse Mercenary Group, solemnly sought Phoenix's organization for Henry's location and planned to assassinate him, Phoenix, who had been hiding behind the scenes, surprisingly showed up, expressing interest in Freton City and wanting to accompany their mercenary group.
Capital didn't refuse, nor did he dare to. He could only agree.
He knew that if their Corpse Mercenary Group was a wolf in Triangle, then Phoenix was the dragon of Triangle!
