Nancy sighed once again. Odessa will never let anyone know what's going on in her life. She can only pretend not to hear anything now.  
She pushed the door open and went inside to take the dirty dishes. Nancy instantly tried to look away from Odessa when she saw her. She was trying to avoid her eyes. 
Odessa who was very sensitive instantly noticed this. A thought popped into her head. 
"Did you hear my conversation?" Odessa asked. She felt that Nancy was spying on her for Aryan. Does he think that she's going to contact someone and try to escape again? 
Why is Aryan so paranoid? 
"No ..no ...I didn't hear anything" Nancy did not know what Odessa was thinking. She just thought that Odessa was pitiful and she wanted to help her protect her pride. 
"You didn't hear anything? Are you sure of that? How long have you been listening to me! Did Aryan ask you to do it? Does he think that I'm going to contact someone and try to run away?" Odessa asked angrily. She was in a bad mood and so she was venting out her anger. Even though Odessa knew that it's not right to vent her anger out on someone else, she still could not control herself.
Nancy finally realized that something was wrong. "What are you taking about Odessa? I never eavesdropped on you on purpose!" Nancy said. She could tell that Odessa was in a terrible mood after the phone call so she did not take offence at her arrogant attitude. 
,"Oh really? Is that true? You Didn't listen in on my call on purpose? So you are telling me that it was an accident? Go on. Tell me what and what you heard exactly" Odessa said. She noticed that Nancy was looking at her with pity in her eyes when she walked in. 
Nancy must think that she is pitiful because her husband cheated on her right?! 
What Odessa hated the most was people giving her sympathetic looks and pitying her! Odessa might not look like it but she has a strong sense of self pride. 
Nancy sighed. "I'm really sorry Miss Odessa. I heard your conversation by accident. I heard about your ex husband and your parents... but please don't misunderstand. Mr. Seagrave...he didn't ask me to listen to your conversation. I came to collect the dishes when I heard you talking on the phone. I really didn't want to eavesdrop on purpose!" Nancy said. She felt like it was getting more and more difficult to deal with Odessa. Nancy was relived when she remembered that Odessa will be going to work with Aryan from now on. She won't pick faults with every single thing that she does then!. 
Odessa sighed. She finally realized that she had overreacted. Odessa felt like she should apologize to Nancy. 
"I'm really sorry Nancy I lost control of my emotions for a while. I should not have lased out at you the way that I did. It's all my fault...I'm sorry. I'll definitely do bette next time" Odessa said. 
Nancy didn't take offense. She knew that anyone who had been through what Odessa had been through will definitely be in a bad mood if she has to talk about it. 
"You don't need to apologize to me. I understand you really I do. I know that you are going through a hard time" Nancy said. She just hoped that she won't give Aryan a hard time and take out all the frustrations that she's feeling on him she also hoped that Odessa will see the things that Aryan is doing for her and not always treat him like the enemy. However, Nancy did not say any of these things out. 
"Nancy....can you do me a favor? Please don't tell anyone else about this. I feel that....it's really embarrassing. My situation is really embarrassing. My parents and my ex husband....I'm sure that you can already tell. I want to save a bit of my pride. I don't want people to look down on me even more. I hope that you won't tell anyone" Odessa said. 
Nancy smiled at Odessa. "I may not know how to do anything else but I certainly have tight lips. It's the only reason I've worked for Aryan for so long. Don't worry, I definitely won't tell other people about this"

Aryan was still in the office and Dave was with him. 
"So, you are saying that the Halls are getting impatient now? I thought that they were at least going to try to hold out for a few more weeks" Aryan said. There was pure mockery in when he said this. 
Dave smiled sarcastically. "I think that besides Linda, every other member of the family is quite smart. They know that they'll only be meeting a dead end if they try to fight against you and now they've decided to step back. I think that they will be here to ask for your forgiveness any moment soon" there was a smirk on Dave's face when he said this. It was very similar to the mocking smile on Aryan's face. Maybe it's because the both of them have known each other for a long time they were very similar in the way that they did things. 
"Are you going to forgive them easily if they come begging?" Dave asked although Linda is stupid and doesn't know what to say or how to talk to others, her father and brother are really smart and shrewd. 
It will be a total waste it two talented people had thier entire lives wasted because of thier foolish daughter and sister. 
Aryan shrugged. He had no intentions of making the decision on this. He isn't the one who was insulted. "It depends" Aryan gave a simple response. 
Dave was even more confused. "It depends? Depends on what?" He asked. 
"It depends on whether Odessa wants to forgive them or not. She is the one who was insulted not me. "
